Brake Device
A brake device, configured to be installed directly on a driving axle or through a hub, wherein said device includes a first brake disc joined to the axle sharing rotary motion, a first container disc and a second container disc configured to be moved in the axial direction of said axle. The container discs are positioned on each side of the brake disc, such that both are configured to be moved in the axial direction towards the linings of the first brake disc and to exert a pushing pressure thereon, producing the braking of the brake disc and, therefore, of the driving axle whereon it is assembled. Furthermore, the container discs comprise an inner circuit configured to accommodate the passage of a coolant configured to cool them.

Provided is an electro-mechanical brake system and a method of operating the same including: a pair of pad plates disposed on both sides of a disk rotating together with a wheel; a piston configured to allow the pad plates to come in close contact with or to be separated from the disk; a first motor and a second motor configured to operate independently from each other and provide the piston with power; a first gear configured to decelerate power of the first motor and transmit the decelerated power; a second gear configured to convert power of the second motor into a translational motion and apply pressure to or release pressure on the piston while in contact with the piston, the second gear including a guide part slantly formed on a portion that comes in contact with the piston; and a connecting part connecting the first gear and the second gear to each other to allow the first gear and the second gear to rotate together with each other, the connecting part configured to couple the first gear and the second gear such that the second gear is slidable with respect to the first gear.
System and method of braking for a patient support apparatus
A patient support apparatus includes a base having a length and including a plurality of caster wheels enabling movement of the patient support apparatus across a floor surface. An auxiliary wheel support structure is secured to the base and rotatably supports at least one non-castered auxiliary wheel. A drive mechanism including a motor may be configured to drive the auxiliary wheel. A braking system including at least one brake member may be configured to apply a braking force to decelerate the auxiliary wheel and is movable between a first position wherein the at least one brake member is disengaged from the auxiliary wheel and a deployed position wherein the at least one brake member is frictionally engaged with the auxiliary wheel to restrict rotation of the auxiliary wheel. The braking system may be configured to synchronize the braking forces applied to first and second auxiliary wheels.
Electric brake device
An electric brake device installed on a vehicle, including: a rotary body to rotate with a wheel; a friction member to be pushed onto the rotary body; an actuator including an electric motor as a drive source to cause the friction member to be pushed onto the rotary body; and a controller to control a braking force generated by the electric brake device by controlling a supply current supplied to the electric motor, wherein the controller determines, by mutually different methods, a plurality of target supply current components each of which is a component of a target supply current as a target of the supply current, determines the target supply current by adding up the target supply current components, and changes contribution degrees of the respective target supply current components in the determination of the target supply current in accordance with a characteristic of the braking force to be generated.
Powered axle for dual wheel work vehicle
A powered axle for a work vehicle with a dual wheel arrangement includes an axle housing, an axle hub mounted to the axle housing, and an output hub having opposite axial ends supported by one or more wheel bearings for rotation about the axle hub along a rotation axis. An electric drive is disposed, at least in part, within the axle housing, and a hub gear set is disposed, at least in part, within the axle hub and configured to transmit power from the electric drive to the output hub for rotation of the dual wheel arrangement. A wheel brake disposed radially between the axle hub and the output hub and axially between the ends of the output hub is configured to selectively permit and arrest rotation of the output hub.
Vehicle deceleration system
A vehicle includes a control system, a sensing system that senses an environment of the vehicle, and a propulsion system, a braking system, and a steering system that are operated by the control system to navigate the vehicle according to the sensing system and without direct human control. The propulsion system and the braking system are operated by the control system to cooperatively decelerate the vehicle. The braking system includes an inboard friction brake that is associated with one or more wheels of the vehicle and does not form unsprung mass of the vehicle.
DRUM BRAKE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A drum brake for a motor vehicle has a pocket for collecting abraded brake particles. The pocket is accessible from above via an opening. After the introduction of a suction device into the opening, the abraded brake particles can be extracted by suction. Pollution of the environment with abraded brake particles is thereby avoided.
Variable motor laminations
An electric motor with a rotor and a stator, where the rotor and/or the stator can comprise two or more sections, and a torque ripple caused by the magnetic field(s) associated with a section of the rotor (or stator) can at least partially counters torque ripple caused by the magnetic field(s) associated with other section(s) of the rotor (or stator).
Parking brake apparatus for vehicle
A parking brake apparatus for a vehicle includes a motor section receiving electric power from an outside, and generating power; a power transmission section rotated by driving the motor section; a pair of pressing units having rotation axes that are disposed parallel to a rotation axis of the power transmission section, and pressing a brake pad by receiving power from the power transmission section; and a load transmission unit installed between the pair of pressing units, connected to each of the pair of pressing units, and transmitting a pressing load of any one of the pair of pressing units to the other pressing unit.
