The invention proposes a disc brake having a brake caliper (1) and a tensioning device arranged therein for applying force to the brake linings of the disc brake, wherein part of the tensioning device is a brake lever (10) which can be actuated by a force element and preferably by a compressed air cylinder. The brake lever is composed of a lever arm (14), against which the force element is supported, and a brake application shaft (15), which is supported against a pressure piece (8) acting towards the brake linings, and is also supported from the inside against the brake caliper, wherein the brake caliper (1) and the brake application shaft (15) face each other and are formed as shells (21, 22) in which a supporting roller (20) with a roller axis (A) running transverse to the tensioning direction (Z) is mounted. To keep the mutual movability of the parts involved low by the simplest measures possible and without the need for additional parts, the supporting roller (20) is supported with the lateral surface (20A) thereof directly in one of the two shells (21, 22) and is designed to be non-rotatable or have only limited rotational movement with respect to this shell. The supporting roller (20) also serves as a means to centre the brake lever (10) laterally in the brake caliper. A supporting roller particularly suited to these purposes is also to be created.

Method and brake control for actuating a friction brake

For rapid and precise actuation of a friction brake, the thermal expansion of the friction brake is determined using a thermal model of the friction brake and therefrom the temperature-dependent shift in the contact point is determined for the braking operation and the temperature-dependent shift in the contact point is taken into account when determining the actuation measure of the friction brake to be adjusted.

Splined drum and electric motor engagement assembly

The rotor of an electric motor unit has a web portion partially enclosing the remainder of the unit and terminating in a circumferentially extending rim. The brake drum defines an engagement surface for drum brake linings, and has an outboard end defining a flange securable to the wheel hub. The brake drum also includes an open inboard end, partly covered over by a dust guard, and a circumferential wall extending between the outboard and inboard ends and surrounding the engagement surface. By way of keys and slots or recesses, a reinforcing ring interlocks the circumferentially extending rim of the web portion and the circumferential brake drum wall. The reinforcing ring is secured to the circumferentially extending rim and to the wall of the brake drum at a location disposed axially between the rim of the web portion and the brake drum lining engagement surface.

BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR A TRACKED VEHICLE

A farm implement is provided having a frame and first and second track assemblies for assisting in moving the farm implement along a ground surface in a line of travel. The first track assembly and the second track assembly are positioned on opposite lateral sides of the frame. The first track assembly has a first track frame, a first idler wheel, and a first brake assembly. The first idler wheel has an inboard side facing toward a center of the first track frame and an outboard side facing away from the center the first track frame. The first brake assembly has a first disc coupled to the first idler wheel on the outboard side of the first idler wheel, a first caliper couplable to first and second sides of the first disc, and a first torque arm coupled to the first track frame and a spindle of the first idler wheel. The first caliper is mounted on the first torque arm, and the first caliper is configured to clamp down on the first and second sides of the first disc in order to slow and/or stop rotation of the first idler wheel.

Vehicle brake system

A highly reliable vehicle brake system that includes an electric brake and achieves redundancy at low cost is provided. A vehicle brake system (1) is provided to a wheel (Wa) of a vehicle (VB), and includes an electric brake (16a) provided with a motor (80), a driver (60) that drives the motor (80), and a first control device (10) provided with a master controller (30) and a first sub-controller (40) connected to each other. The electric brake (16a) is controllable by both the master controller (30) and the first sub-controller (40).

Disc brake with a reset device and motor vehicle with a disc brake

A disc brake (1) for motor vehicles includes at least two brake pads (25, 26), an application unit (4) with a setting spindle (5) arranged axially in the direction of the brake pads (25, 26), and a resetting device (7) for central adjustment of the setting spindle (5) after reaching a degree of wear of the brake pads (25, 26). The resetting device (7) has a housing (8), a sensor (9), a resetting shaft (10), and an adapter (11) with a decentral output (12). In one example, the adapter (11) has a cover (13) and a chain drive (14) for to transmitting an actuating movement from the decentral output (12) to the resetting shaft (10).

Actuator and actuator device

An actuator includes a control part, a first rotation sensor, and a second rotation sensor able to detect rotation of an output shaft. The control part performs a first rotation angle acquisition control for acquiring a target rotation angle of the output shaft when a movable part is moved from the second position to the first position as a first rotation angle. The first rotation angle is a rotation angle of the output shaft that is closer to the second position side than when the movable part abuts the first wall part. In the first rotation angle acquisition control, the control part causes the movable part abuts the first wall part, acquires a rotation angle of the output shaft when the movable part has abutted the first wall part, and calculates the first rotation angle based on the rotation angle of the output shaft that has been acquired.
