BRAKING DEVICE TO SECURE MOBILE UNITS
A braking device is disclosed that may contain a plurality of braking members. The plurality of braking members may be removably attachable to one another to create a confinement zone in an assembled configuration of the braking device. A frictional material may also be coupled to at least a portion the plurality of braking members to help secure a surface placement of the braking device when in the assembled configuration. In the assembled position, the braking device may enclose a moveable component of a mobile unit. The moveable component of the mobile unit may be located within the confinement zone in which it can be secured or locked positionally from further movement by the braking device. The braking device may further contain a biasing mechanism that may be movable within a portion of confinement zone to engage with and secure the movement component by the braking device.
Vehicle low pressure brake arrangement
A vehicle braking arrangement includes a braking plate and a link arm arranged to connect the braking plate to a vehicle. The braking plate is movable from a rest position to a braking position where contact is made with the ground. The braking plate is arranged for a first mode of operation, corresponding to the rest position, and a second mode of operation, corresponding to the braking position. In the first mode of operation, the braking plate has a first contact area arranged to face the ground, and in the second mode of operation, the braking plate has a second contact area arranged to face the ground. The second area exceeds the first area.

BRAKE SYSTEM AND MEDICAL APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A brake apparatus provided on a body of a medical apparatus, the brake apparatus including: a rail unit; a lever unit configured to rotate with respect to a rotational shaft; an elastic member provided on the lever unit at a first end of the lever unit and configured to provide an elastic force to rotate the lever unit; a wedge provided on a second end opposite to the first end of the lever unit, configured to be inserted into the rail unit according to rotation of the lever unit and configured to apply braking pressure on the rail unit.

RAIL BRAKE
An extended range, consistent force rail brake comprising an adjustable wedge assembly operatively situated between the main power spring(s) and the brake shoe(s) for selectively taking up the vertical distance that the brake shoe is required to travel between the brake release position and an initial railhead contact position. The adjustable wedge assembly is thus selectively expandable in the vertical orientation, and may comprise: an upper block that is operatively connected, either directly or indirectly, to the power spring; a lower wedge rigidly affixed to a replaceable brake shoe; and an intermediate wedge that is located by suitable bearings and/or linkages for transverse, generally horizontal slidable engagement between the upper block and the lower wedge. Each of the upper block and lower wedge elements of the wedge assembly are, respectively, located by suitable bearings and/or linkages for generally vertical translational motion (but very little, if any, lateral or longitudinal horizontal motion) within upper and lower guides provided on a frame of the rail brake.

Electric parking brake device
When a parking brake mechanism is in a braking state and an operation switch is switched to a braking-released state, a control unit of an electric vehicle brings a parking brake mechanism into a braking-released state on the condition that the control unit detects using a stop lamp switch that the brake pedal is not depressed and detects that the shift range of the shift lever is a P range.
Combination dolly-pallets
A displacement arrangement for use in a combination dolly-pallet includes an impelling member movable between first and second positions. A linkage is pivotally connected to the impelling member. When the impelling member moves between the first and second positions, the linkage moves pivotally relative to the impelling member to an extended position.
