Low friction rehabilitation board with an integral band retaining feature and methods of rehabilitation

A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.

Targeted Vibration Therapy Systems and Methods
20210298990 · 2021-09-30 ·

This application discloses systems and methods of applying vibration to a targeted area on an individual that is experiencing pain, discomfort, or other musculoskeletal symptoms. Steps of the method include lengthening followed by oscillation and vibration. The lengthening step requires positioning the individual (e.g., with the help of a stretching cage) such that the individual experiences a stretching sensation in a targeted area (e.g., a group of muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc.). Next, the individual oscillates in and out of that lengthened position while vibration is applied to the targeted area. It has been discovered that these techniques can bring about dramatic and quick improvements in flexibility and range of motion, while also diminishing symptoms like pain and discomfort.

11045679 · 2021-06-29 ·

A versatile exercise apparatus includes a central foundation frame and two arched bars. The frame comprises two generally parallel lateral cross bars, two generally parallel longitudinal bars, and two partial circular bars attached to four 4-way joints. The two arched bars are also attached at the four 4-way joints and extend perpendicularly from the frame. In some aspects of the invention, the frame elements and two arched bars are attachable and detachable, allowing the formation of two modules. In this aspect the modules may be attached in corresponding or opposing orientations. This permits manual modification of the exercise device, thereby increasing the number of exercises, balance techniques, and stretches that can be performed with the exercise apparatus.
