Exercise Wedge
A foam exercise block in the shape of a wedge having an inclined front face, a vertical rear face, and a bottom face defining forward, upper, and rear edges. A ball socket is formed in the front face, and upper and lower semi-circular grooves running between the front and rear faces at the upper and forward edges of the wedge provide support for an exercise ball and portions of the body. The continuity of the lateral edges at their ends is interrupted by right-angled cutouts to provide corner handholds for various exercises using the wedge as a brace against a flat surface.
MUSCLE-STRETCHING APPARATUS
A muscle-stretching apparatus, which comprises a frame that incorporates a first and a second group of rods, wherein the frame is in turn made up of two parts mutually linked by said rods through fastening means; and the second group of rods is longer than the first group of rods; the parts being flat in nature and having a similar geometry, and being adapted for resting on the ground; and in use, the parts are arranged symmetrically to one another, relative to a plane perpendicular to the ground; the variable height of the second group of rods relative to the ground in their arrangement between the parts determining the useful height H of the frame relative to the ground.
METHODS OF IMPROVING RESPIRATORY EFFECTIVENESS
Methods for improving respiratory effectiveness including inhaling a breath and, while continuously holding the breath, swimming for a period of at least 10 seconds without exhaling or further inhaling, and inhaling a breath and, without exhaling or further inhaling, adopting, and holding for a period of at least 3 seconds, at least one stretch position, which requires constant muscular exertion to maintain.
REAR HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY FOR A STATIONARY BIKE
A rear handlebar assembly in combination with a seat and a supporting member of a stationary bike, includes a seat of a stationary bike for supporting a rider thereon. A supporting member supports the seat of the stationary bike. A joining member includes a vertical bore and a horizontal bore, the vertical bore receiving therein the supporting member, the horizontal bore receiving therein a shaft coupled to flanges of the seat. A clasp holds the joining member against the supporting member. A crossbar forms a rear handlebar adapted to support the hands of a rider in an upright riding position. A rearwardly extending member connects the joining member to the crossbar. A pair of hand grips can be positioned on the crossbar.
Portable hamstring stretcher/exerciser device
The embodiments herein provide a portable hamstring stretcher for stretching hamstring muscles and inner thigh muscles. The portable hamstring stretcher comprises a primary board, a secondary board (leg pieces), a plurality of hinges, a chain, a plurality of ratchet straps, a ratchet, a plurality of hinges, and a plurality of adjustable straps. A user lies down on the primary board and wraps his legs using the adjustable straps on the secondary board to exercise the hamstring muscles.
CHAIRS FOR FACILITATING STRETCHING AND ACTIVE PHYSICAL MOVEMENT BY A USER
A chair may include a base defining a vertical axis of the chair, a seat configured to support a user thereon, and a seat support assembly disposed between the base and the seat in the direction of the vertical axis. The seat support assembly may include a height adjustment assembly configured to allow the seat to translate along the vertical axis, and a wobble assembly configured to allow the seat to tilt relative to the vertical axis in a side-to-side direction. The wobble assembly may include a wobble lock having a locked configuration, in which the wobble lock inhibits tilting of the seat relative to the vertical axis in the side-to-side direction, and an unlocked configuration, in which the wobble lock allows tilting of the seat relative to the vertical axis in the side-to-side direction.
Multifunctional curved board
A multi-functional curved board to be used when working in standing position and for working when sitting down as a support for feet and generally for maintaining muscle strength, the multi-functional curved board having at least one curved body (1). The body (1) comprises at least one counter-curve means (3). One surface (1b) of the body is curved outwards and the counter-curve means are fastened to a surface (1a) opposite this surface (1a) adjacent the end sides (1d) of the body (1) and the counter-curve means are curved outwards from the opposite surface of the body (1).
Knotted Flat Elastic Stretch Band Exercise Bar
A bar or tube with two slots on each side configured to accept a flat or round elastic exercise band or cord; wherein said slots may be rounded along the edges so as not to tear or slice at the elastic exercise band or cord. The elastic exercise band or cord may be tied into knots or bulges on either end and such knots may be inserted into the slots of the bar making it ready for use. The bar may also comprise adapters to adjust the size of the slots to different sizes of flat elastic bands or cords. The invention may also comprise a rubber roller which may be made to house a vibrating unit, said housing unit may be turned on by a switch when held to the body.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL EXERCISE APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a multi-functional exercise apparatus, and particularly to a multi-functional exercise apparatus which is safe and allows various exercises with different setups to be performed by means of a single apparatus. The present invention, relating to a multi-functional exercise apparatus provided so as to impart a sense of stability to a user when exercising while at the same time allowing various exercises with different setups to be performed by means of a single apparatus, comprises: a plate-shaped body (A) forming the floor surface and having a space in the interior thereof; fixed frames (100) fixedly disposed upwardly on both sides of the body (A); rotatable frames disposed upwardly on both sides of the body (A); handle parts (200) connected on one side of the rotatable frames and provided so as to be movable forwards and backwards; and a foot plate part rotatably provided on upper surface of the body (A) and connected to the other side of the rotatable frames. The multi-functional exercise apparatus according to the present invention imparts a sense of stability to a user as the rotatable frame comprises a plurality of linked sections and connects the handle parts and foot plate part, allowing the user to exercise by rotating not the entire rotatable frames but only the handle parts which are comparatively short compared to the rotatable frames. Furthermore, each linked section of the rotatable frames is rotatably attached to the handle part or to the side of the fixed frame, allowing the rotatable frames to stably transmit driving power from the handle parts (200) to the foot plate part and to be changed so as to allow various exercises with different setups to be performed.
SUPPORT APPARATUS FOR A SUBJECT AND A METHOD FOR SUPPORTING A SUBJECT IN A SUBSTANTIALLY INVERTED STATE
Apparatus (60) for supporting a subject (2) in an inverted state comprises a ground engaging plinth (8) and a support platform (12) pivotally coupled to the plinth (8) about a first pivot axis (15) so that the support platform (12) is pivotal between a first state with a subject (2) in a supine state on the support platform (12) and a second state with the subject (2) inverted on the support platform (12). The subject is supported in the inverted state on the support platform (12) by shoulder engaging elements (24), and is secured to the support platform (12) by a torso strap (35). A foot engageable element (77) connected to a weight carrying bar (84) through connecting members (79,82) extending through an elongated slot (80) in the support platform (12) allows leg and abdominal muscles to be exercised by urging the foot engageable element (77) in the direction of the arrow A against weights (85) carried on the weight carrying bar (84).
