A method for reducing jolt moments during a deceleration of a vehicle by a braking system, the braking system having at least one electrically actuatable pressure supply device, hydraulic wheel brakes and a valve device. The valve device is designed to apply a pressure provided by the pressure supply device to a selectable subset of the wheel brakes. The method includes: determining a braking requirement, determining a vehicle speed, checking whether the vehicle speed is below a defined threshold value, and if the vehicle speed is below the threshold value, selecting the subset of wheel brakes and applying a pressure provided by the pressure supply device to only the subset of wheel brakes, the pressure being determined according to the selected subset of wheel brakes.

The present disclosure provides a braking method of a vehicle, comprising: a control start determination operation of determining whether traction control system (TCS) control is needed; a required pressure calculation operation of calculating required pressures, which are required for wheel brakes to brake a vehicle, of wheels when it is determined that the TCS control is needed; a control mode determination operation of determining whether the TCS control is performed in a single wheel control mode or multi-wheel control mode; and a hydraulic pressure supply operation of supplying hydraulic pressure to a low-pressure wheel brake through valve control and supplying hydraulic pressure to a high-pressure wheel brake through pressure control in the multi-wheel control mode and supplying hydraulic pressure to any one wheel brake through the valve control in the single wheel control mode in order for the wheel brakes to reach the required pressures.

Trailer detection and control module

A trailer control valve for a tractor includes a body defining a supply port and first and second delivery ports. The supply port is configured for fluid communication with a fluid source on the tractor. The first and second delivery ports are configured for fluid communication with glad-hand connectors through which fluid is supplied from the tractor to a trailer. A pressure sensing solenoid receives fluid signal from each of the first and second deliver ports and selectively passes fluid signal therefrom to a pressure sensor as a function of a brake control signal received by a controller that controls the pressure sensing solenoid.

Method of manufacturing brake boosters

A method of manufacturing vehicle brake boosters includes load testing a plurality of reaction discs and sorting the load-tested reaction discs into multiple, separate batches based on the load test results. A first batch of plunger plates is formed to an axial length to correspond with a first of the separate batches of reaction discs. A first batch of the vehicle brake boosters is assembled with a first one of the multiple, separate batches of reaction discs and the first batch of plunger plates to achieve a target jump-in force. A second batch of plunger plates is formed to an axial length to correspond with a second one of the separate batches of reaction discs. A second batch of the vehicle brake boosters is assembled with a second one of the multiple separate batches of reaction discs and the second batch of plunger plates to achieve the target jump-in force.
