A system for a vehicle is provided. The system may include a memory and at least one processor configured to: access a plurality of images of a forward-facing view from the vehicle, the plurality of images corresponding to image data obtained by a camera; determine from the images a first lane marking on a first side of a lane, the lane through which the vehicle can navigate, and a second lane marking on a second side of the lane opposite of the first side; navigate the vehicle autonomously relatively centered between the first and second lane markings; determine from the plurality of images that an object is on the first side or the second side of the lane, and the object beyond the first or second lane marking; and navigate the vehicle autonomously to travel over a driving path that is offset from a center of the lane.

Braking force controller and vehicle

A braking force controller causes a first actuator unit to generate a target jerk when the target jerk is equal to or larger than a first jerk, causes the first actuator unit to generate the first jerk and a second actuator unit to generate a jerk obtained by subtracting the first jerk from the target jerk as an additional jerk when the target jerk is smaller than the first jerk and equal to or larger than the sum of the first jerk and a second jerk, and causes the first actuator unit to generate the first jerk and the second actuator unit to generate the second jerk as the additional jerk when the target jerk is smaller than the sum of the first jerk and the second jerk.

METHOD OF OPERATING A VEHICLE FEEDING MATERIAL TO A ROAD FINISHING MACHINE

A method of operating a vehicle feeding material to a road finishing machine. The vehicle includes a vehicle retarding system controllable to retard the vehicle, and processing circuitry coupled to the vehicle retarding system. The method includes determining, by the processing circuitry, a slope inclination of a downward sloping road surface to be paved by the road finishing machine; determining, by the processing circuitry, a deceleration level of the vehicle for operating the vehicle at the downward sloping road surface while obtaining a mechanical connection between the vehicle and the road finishing machine when the road finishing machine paves the downward sloping road surface; determining, by the processing circuitry, a retardation power level of the vehicle retarding system based on the slope inclination of the downward sloping road surface for obtaining the deceleration level; and controlling, by the processing circuitry, the vehicle retarding system to apply the retardation power level for obtaining the deceleration level.

METHOD OF OPERATING A BRAKE SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND CORRESPONDING BRAKE SYSTEM
20230339442 · 2023-10-26 · ·

A method of operating a brake system for a motor vehicle, the brake system has a parking brake device and actuating the parking brake device for generating a parking braking force on a wheel of the motor vehicle is only permitted if a speed value falls below a speed threshold value. As such, the speed value is determined from a measured speed value corresponding at least temporarily to a speed of the motor vehicle. If the measured speed value falls below the speed value, the speed value is made to track the measured speed value with a speed gradient limited to a speed gradient limit value.

Control system for a motor vehicle, motor vehicle, method for controlling a motor vehicle, computer program product and computer-readable medium

A control system for a motor vehicle having a first control unit for controlling a first function of the motor vehicle and a second control unit for controlling a second function of the motor vehicle. In order to ensure, with the least possible additional complexity, that functions of a motor vehicle that are controlled by means of control units are properly executed even in the event of a faulty control unit, the control system has a third control unit for controlling the first function and the second function of the motor vehicle and, depending on the receipt of a fault signal of the first and/or second control unit by the third control unit, the third control unit can be configured such that the motor vehicle first and/or second function corresponding to the faulty control unit can be controlled by means of the third control unit alone.

Power supply and a method for supplying power

A power supply for an energy management and monitoring unit includes a line arrangement with multiple lines representing inputs or outputs, each of which has at least one power line for supplying power. A merging unit combines the power lines of the line arrangement to a total voltage, and a splitting unit is configured to split the total voltage into at least two redundant voltages provided for the energy management and monitoring unit.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE DECELERATION OF A VEHICLE AND BRAKING SYSTEM THEREFOR

The disclosure is directed to a method for controlling the deceleration of a vehicle, wherein the vehicle includes a central control unit, a first brake circuit for a rear axle and a second brake circuit for a front axle. In the method, in the event of an electronically requested deceleration request below a predefined deceleration threshold value, only the brake circuit for the axle, from the rear axle and the front axle, that allows the finest gradation in the pressure change for substantially continuous, jolt-free manipulation of the deceleration is activated by the central control unit and remains activated as long as the predefined deceleration threshold value is not exceeded by the deceleration request. The disclosure is also directed to a braking system and to a vehicle.

Brake control device

The present disclosure provides a brake control device applied to a vehicle including a hydraulic brake device that generates a hydraulic braking force by pressing a braking member with hydraulic pressure toward a member-to-be-braked that rotates integrally with a wheel; and an electric brake device that generates an electric braking force by pressing the braking member by driving a motor toward the member-to-be-braked. A controller that controls the electric brake device is provided. The controller executes, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, a positional control for driving a motor and moving a propeller shaft that transmits the driving force of the motor to the braking member toward the member-to-be-braked as compared to when the predetermined condition is not satisfied.
