ELECTRONIC CONFIGURABLE EQUALIZING RESERVOIR BACKUP SYSTEM
An equalizing reservoir backup system that offers air brake control to the operator when the air brake network has failed or when the computer control equipment of the air brake system has failed. The system includes an equalizing reservoir backup module that is programmed to receive the electrical signals from human machine interface and configuration messages from the computer controlled braking system via the network and to control the train brake pipe via equalizing reservoir control. The equalizing reservoir backup module follows network pressure commands when commanded to do so or transforms handle commands into equalizing pressure when commanded to do so or when communications with the network have been lost. As a result, the backup system can be used when the network has failed or when the computer equipment has failed.

Modular leakage protection device
The invention relates to a modular leakage protection device for a fluid container of a vehicle brake system. The modular leakage protection device comprises a housing which attaches the modular leakage protection device to a fluid discharge opening of the fluid container. The modular leak protection device further includes a switching element, which can be moved between an open position, in which a fluid passage in the housing is released, and a closed position, in which the fluid passage is closed. The switching element is preloaded into the closed position by means of at least one to preloading means.

Hydraulic master cylinder with back-up ring
Disclosed herein is a hydraulic master cylinder body having a bore defined at least in part by a bore wall, wherein the bore wall includes an opening for hydraulic fluid to be passed into the bore, and a piston assembly situated at least substantially in the bore, the assembly having a piston with a piston body and at least one cup seal situated substantially around the piston body, the cup seal situated adjacent to the bore wall so as to be in sealing engagement therewith, and a back-up ring that is situated about the piston body, wherein the back-up ring is positioned to at least partially cover a portion of the cup seal that is adjacent to the bore wall and to prevent at least a portion of the cup seal from contacting the bore wall and the opening for hydraulic fluid during piston actuation.
MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY WITH SEPARATOR
Master cylinder assemblies, particularly for operation of the brake or clutch of motorcycles or other ATVs, are susceptible to a reduction in pressure due to the introduction of unwanted gases within the hydraulic lines. As a result, the brake or clutch system may not operate as designed. The present disclosure describes master cylinder assemblies that include one or more fluid separators, with a separator at least at the compensating port of the fluid reservoir to inhibit or prevent air or other gases from entering the piston channel through the compensating or inlet ports.

BRAKE FLUID CONTAINER
The invention relates to a brake fluid container for a master cylinder in a hydraulic brake system. A safety valve is provided to ensure that the neck of the brake fluid container closes when the brake fluid container is detached from the master cylinder, for example in case of an accident. The safety valve is disposed in a cartridge which can be inserted from outside in a tightly sealing manner into the neck of the container.
