Adjustable support for exercise system
An exemplary exercise device includes, among other things, an attachment structure configured to be mounted to a support assembly, a first arm directly pivotably connected to the attachment structure, a second arm directly pivotably connected to the attachment structure, a bracket directly pivotably connected to the first arm and directly pivotably connected to the second arm, and a catch member configured for accepting a weight bar. The catch member is pivotably connected to at least one of the first arm, the second arm, or the at least one bracket such that the at least one catch member is pivotable relative to the at least one bracket.
Exercise Machine With Adjustable Handles
An exercise machine with adjustable handles that provide for multiple handle positions. The exercise machine with adjustable handles generally includes a frame with one or more rails, a carriage movably positioned upon the rails, and a pair of adjustable handles positioned near an end of the frame. The adjustable handles each have a handle portion that is movably connected to a corresponding handle stanchion to pivot from a storage position to an extended position.
Exercise bar with dynamically rotating hand grips
An exercise bar assembly includes a pair of rotating grip assemblies, each including a generally planar frame and a hand grip mounted within the frame for rotation within in the plane of the frame. The rotating grip assemblies are attachable to opposite ends of a center bar assembly along the longitudinal axis of the bar assembly. A plate bar assembly is attachable to each of the rotating grip assemblies opposite the center rod, with the plate bar assembly aligned with the longitudinal axis to form a weight lifting bar. A user-selectable elastic band is engageable between the pair of rotating grip assemblies along the longitudinal axis so that the elastic band resists rotation of each hand grip in each of the rotating grip assemblies. The rotating grip assemblies of the exercise bar assembly allow for the full range of motion of the bicep, and the elastic band creates a resistance exercise through the bicep's full range of motion.
CONTROLLING A FORCE GENERATOR OF AN EXERCISE APPARATUS
Methods and systems for controlling a force generator of an exercise apparatus are described wherein the method comprises determining or receiving angular positions of a rotatable axle of an exercise apparatus when a force is applied to a force receiving structure of the exercise apparatus, the rotatable axle being part of a mechanical power transmission system connecting the force receiving structure via the rotatable axis to a force generator which is controlled by a computer based on a kinematic model, the kinetic model representing equations of motion of the exercise the apparatus; determining or retrieving first geometrical scaling values associated with the angular positions and incorporating the first geometrical scaling values into the kinematic model to form a first modified kinematic model, the first geometrical scaling values being associated with a non- circular gear of a first predetermined non-circular geometry; and, determining applied force values for the angular positions, each applied force value representing a force that is applied to the force receiving structure; and, controlling the force generator based on first resistive force values to mimic an exercise apparatus comprising a mechanical power transmission system including the first non-circular gear, the first resistive force values being computed using the first modified kinematic model and the applied force values.
BALANCING SYSTEM FOR TREADMILL
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a left and right balancing system for a treadmill may comprise two detection devices respectively installed at a left and right side of the treadmill, detecting strengths of vibrations respectively at the left and right side of the treadmill when a user exercises on the treadmill, generating detection strength signals according to the detected strengths, and transferring the generated detection strength signals to the user, and a notification device receiving the detection strength signals from the detection devices and indicating the user's left and right balance state.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND APPARATUSES FOR RECIPROCAL MUSCLE ACTIVATION AND RELEASE
In various embodiments, an apparatus for exercising can include a housing, a first inner tube, a second inner tube, and a compression spring operable to resist motion when compressed. The first inner tube is coupled with a first end of the compression spring and the second inner tube is coupled with a second end of the compression spring. In addition, the apparatus can also include an extension spring inside the housing. Furthermore, a portion of the compression spring and a portion of each of the first and second inner tubes are inside the housing. Note that a first end of the extension spring is coupled with a first handle or loop and the second end of the extension spring is coupled with a second handle or loop. The extension spring is operable to provide resistance during pulling motion away from center of the apparatus.
SQUAT RACK MOUNTABLE DIP EXERCISING SYSTEM
A squat rack mountable dip exercising system includes a frame that is removably positionable on and extended between a first guard and a second guard wherein the first and second guards are engaged with and extend forwardly from a squat rack. A grip is attached to the frame and is configured to be graspable by a person performing a dip exercise.
Exercise machine support system
An exercise machine support system for providing increased versatility including inclination or declination of an exercise surface, a reduction in the overall length and width of the exercise machine, and an enhanced user interface which reduces the risk of injury. The exercise machine support system generally includes a cantilevered exercise machine which is adapted to have a variable angle of incline or decline with respect to a horizontal ground surface. The exercise machine will generally include a base and a support which extends between the base and the exercise machine. The upper end of the support is connected to the exercise machine by a first pivot such that the exercise machine pivots about the support. An adjustment device may be utilized to pivot the exercise machine and thus adjust its angle of incline. Various types of adjustment devices are disclosed, including an actuator, ratchet-and-pawl, gears, and cam.
Fitness Device And Exercise Method For Generating Opposing Muscle Resistance
A fitness device contains a strap, a handle, and a plate. The strap is substantially inelastic and flexible. The plate is substantially rigid. The handle at least partially envelopes the strap. A method of exercising with such a fitness device is also described herein. Other fitness devices and other methods of use are also described herein.
Exercise Machine Carriage Handle System
An exercise machine carriage handle system for providing handles for an exerciser to grasp with their hands thereby expanding the type of exercises that may be performed. The exercise machine carriage handle system generally includes a frame having a track, a carriage movably connected to the track, a bias member connected between the frame and the carriage, a first handle connected to the carriage near the first side, and a second handle connected to the carriage near the second side. The first handle and second handle are adapted for grasping with a first hand and a second hand respectively of a user during the performance of an exercise on the exercise machine.
