Spring brake chamber
A spring brake chamber includes a first case, a second case, and a coupling case. The first case includes an open end, a closed end, and an open end portion. The open end portion of the first case includes a tapered outer positioning portion having a diameter that increases toward the open end. The coupling case couples the first case and the second case. The coupling case includes an open end closer to the first case and an open end portion. The open end portion of the coupling case includes a tapered inner positioning portion having a diameter that decreases toward the open end. The first case is positioned relative to the coupling case by attaching the outer positioning portion to an outer side of the inner positioning portion.
Vehicles and Braking Systems for Vehicles Having a Spring Brake Actuator with Replaceable Push Rod Assembly
A spring brake actuator is for braking a wheel of a vehicle and has a push rod assembly having a base located in a service brake chamber and a push rod extending from a service brake chamber. Pneumatic activation of the spring brake actuator causes the push rod to further extend out of the service brake chamber to thereby engage a wheel brake with a wheel of the vehicle. Pneumatic deactivation of the spring brake actuator causes the push rod to retract back into the service brake chamber to thereby disengage the wheel brake from the wheel of the vehicle. The push rod extends between a first end portion that is fixed to the base and an opposite, second end portion that is removably coupled to the first end portion so that the second end portion is manually attachable and detachable from the push rod assembly.
Spring brake actuator
A spring brake actuator has a combined housing including a first housing, a second housing, and connection part connecting the first housing and the second housing. Gas inlet ports are disposed along the circumference of the combined housing in a gas inlet port section. A mechanical connection section is disposed in the same axial space as the gas inlet portion section. A bayonet connection is arranged in the mechanical connection section, with gas inlet ports disposed between the bayonet elements. Port connectors may extend through recesses or holes and be threaded into the gas inlet ports, and which may block the bayonet connection and block relative rotation between the first and second housings. The connection part may include a ring shaped protrusion form fit with a protruding of the second housing, with the bayonet elements disposed at the opposite end of the connection part engaged with the first housing.
Front structure of body-on-frame vehicle and method of replacing brake actuator
A front structure of a body-on-frame vehicle includes: a pair of left and right side rails extending in a vehicle front-rear direction; cross-members extending in a vehicle width direction and coupling the side rails together; a motor for traveling disposed between the cross-members; and a brake actuator disposed on a vehicle rear side relative to the cross-member and disposed on an inner side in the vehicle width direction relative to the side rail. The front structure is configured such that, when the motor is removed, a worker is able to access the brake actuator from a space between the cross-members.
Brake apparatus and installation method thereof
According to at least one aspect, the present disclosure provides a brake apparatus comprising: a cylinder body; a fixing part comprising one or more screw fastening holes so as to be coupled to the cylinder body; and a mounting part installed at the cylinder body or the fixing part so that the cylinder body is mounted to the fixing part. According to another aspect, the present disclosure provides a brake apparatus comprising: a cylinder body; a bracket formed on one side of the cylinder body; a fixing part comprising one or more screw fastening holes so as to be coupled to the bracket; and a mounting part formed in the cylinder body or the bracket so that the cylinder body is mounted to the fixing part.
INTAKE PIPE SUPPORTING STRUCTURE
A bracket provided on an engine body to support an intake pipe includes: a mounting part mounted on the engine body; and leg parts protruding from the mounting part to be fastened to the intake pipe, and the leg parts include brittle parts that are broken when a load is input from a brake member to the intake pipe. Accordingly, when the engine body is moved back and the intake pipe is brought into contact with the brake member due to a front-side collision of a vehicle and the intake pipe is pushed forward by a reaction load from the brake member, the leg parts are broken at the brittle parts and the intake pipe is thus separated from the mounting part of the bracket.
Brake piston assembly
A brake cylinder piston assembly having a composite piston head having a bore formed therethrough, a cup positioned in the bore and coupled to the piston head, and a hollow rod securely welded to the cup. The cup is coupled to the piston head by a series of fingers with locking tabs that extend around the bore of the piston head and engage a rim of the cup. The bore of the piston head has two steps that correspond to the two steps formed into outside of the cup so the two step outer diameter of the cup is securely seated in the two step inner diameter of the bore. A plastic load disc having a hemispherical cavity may be positioned within the end of the hollow rod that is secured to the cup to absorb high energy hand brake releases.
BRAKE CYLINDER DUST COVER AND WATERPROOF BRAKE CYLINDER USING SUCH DUST COVER
The invention discloses a brake cylinder dust cover and a waterproof brake cylinder using such dust cover. The brake cylinder comprises a brake cylinder body and a front cover. A waterproof dust cover assembly is arranged on the front cover. The waterproof dust cover assembly comprises a dust cover fixedly connected to the front cover, and a filter felt support and a filter felt pad which are arranged in the dust cover. The filter felt support is connected with the dust cover, and the filter felt pad is fixed on the filter felt support. An outwards extending skirt is arranged at the edge of the dust cover in the axial direction thereof.
Pressure-Medium Unit, Having a Housing Produced by Injection Molding and Composed of Plastic, and Method for Producing Said Pressure-Medium Unit
A pressure-medium unit includes a housing, which is produced by injection molding and composed of plastic, in the housing wall of which housing at least one connection bush having a passage opening is fastened, through which pressure medium is fed into and/or led out of the interior of the housing. In the injection molding process of the housing, the connection bush, with the exception of the passage opening, is at least partially injection-molded into the housing wall.
Axle suspension system having an axle wrap and method of manufacture
An axle suspension system and a method of manufacture. The axle suspension system may have an axle, an axle wrap, and a weld seam. The axle wrap may receive the axle and may have a first end portion and a second end portion that overlaps the first end portion. A weld seam may couple the first end portion to the second end portion.
