Rail vehicle braking system and braking method for a rail vehicle comprising such a system

Disclosed is a rail braking system including a detection and storage device designed to receive first information representing the position of a device for locking a service brake piston, to receive second information representing the supply of a service brake pressure chamber with a pneumatic pressure agent, to deduce information representing the application of a parking brake from the first and second information, and to store the deduced information; as a result of which the information representing the application of the parking brake is kept even if the service brake pressure chamber is no longer supplied with the pneumatic pressure agent.

A control device for a vehicle hydraulic braking system, including an electronic device for transferring brake fluid into at least one wheel brake cylinder without a force transmission connection to the brake actuating element, or that is hydraulically decoupleable from the brake actuating element, with a motorized brake pressure buildup device; ascertaining whether wheel locking of at least one wheel of the vehicle that is braked with the at least one wheel brake cylinder is present or at risk; temporarily effectuating, at least at times, a counterforce on the brake actuating element acting against the actuation of the brake actuating element by the driver when it is ascertained that wheel locking is present or at risk and/or when the electronic brake force distribution function and/or the antilocking function are/is executed. Also described is a hydraulic braking system for a vehicle, and a method for operating such a braking system.

A railway car brake lock has a brake linkage arm connector configured to connect to a brake linkage arm. A draw rod is connected to the brake linkage arm connector. The draw rod has a locking rack with a plurality of locking rack teeth. An outside shell holds the locking rack, while allowing the locking rack to slide between a locking rack engaged position and a locking rack disengaged position. The locking rack engaged position corresponds to a railway car brake engaged position and wherein the locking rack disengaged position corresponds to a railway car brake disengaged position. A locking actuator piston has locking actuator piston teeth that engage the locking rack teeth when the locking actuator piston slides from a locking actuator piston disengaged position to a locking actuator piston engaged position.

A railway slipping block brake lock has a brake linkage arm connector configured to connect a brake linkage arm to a draw rod. A draw rod is connected to the brake linkage arm connector. The draw rod has a draw rod engaged position corresponding to a railway brake engaged position, and the draw rod has a draw rod disengaged position corresponding to a railway brake disengaged position. A slipping block is mounted around the draw rod. The slipping block has a wedge shaped profile that fits to a wedge-shaped opening of a retaining frame. The retaining frame has a retaining frame wedge-shaped inside profile to receive the slipping block. The slipping block releases the draw rod and disengages from the retaining frame when the draw rod moves toward an engaged position.

Automatic parking brake for truck mounted brake cylinder

An automatic parking brake for a truck mounted brake cylinder. The automatic parking brake includes rod that is interconnected to a piston of the brake cylinder and can prevent the piston from returning to the brakes releases position. The rod is controlled by locking nut that will rotate if the rod moves axially through the locking nut and a locking sleeve that is moveable between a locked position, where the locking sleeve engages the locking nut and prevents from the nut from rotating, and a released position, where the locking sleeve is disengages from the locking nut and the locking nut is free to rotate. A spring provides a force biasing the locking nut into the locked position, and brake pipe pressure biases the locking sleeve into the released position.
