Golf swing analyzer system
A golf swing analyzer system for analyzing a golfer's golf swing. An inertial measurement unit (IMU) may be used to capture data regarding the swing. The IMU may be oriented along a hosel-axis and a face-axis to reduce the complexity of calculations to determine the path of the swing. Two IMUs may be used to permit correction of captured data, different orientations of the IMUs to increase accuracy of captured data, and a doubling of the captured data. The IMU may include a magnetometer that cooperates with a magnet that is adapted to indicate the time at or near impact of the head of the golf club with the golf ball. An LED system provides visual information to a user regarding the swing while the swing is being made.

The present invention is directed to a garment for assisting a user to instantaneously visualize and remember a coordinated movement of body segments at the moment before and/or during the task. The coordinated movement can be related to any physical task such as sports, therapy, aerobics, dance, etc. The garment according to the present invention comprises an arrangement of arrows in or on a fabric of the garment, wherein the position of the arrows relative to body segments and the direction of the arrows indicates the direction in which the related body segment should be moved and/or aligned.

A system and method for therapeutic stimulation using virtual objects and gamification, in which multi-modality stimulus is applied using some combination of virtual elements, attention is enhanced by virtue of the user's active participation, and long-term use is encouraged by virtue of the entertaining nature of the gamification. Depending on configuration, the system and method may comprise a display comprising virtual objects, a light-producing device (other than the display), an audio-producing device such as speakers or headphones, a haptic feedback device such as a vibratory motor, a means for monitoring the user's attention, and a software application which applies therapeutic stimulation using some combination of the display, the light-producing device, the audio-producing device, and the haptic feedback device.

A golf tracking system including a tag coupled to a golf club. The tag includes a plurality of sensors, each which output a signal based on a detected movement of the golf club, a microcontroller that compares each of the plurality of sensor outputs to stored reference sensor output values, and a transceiver that transmits data corresponding to the sensor outputs to a device remote from the tag based on the comparison performed by the microcontroller. The location-aware device then processes the information received from the tag to determine whether a shot should be registered.

The method and apparatus may be used in training, coaching and broadcasting environments.
