LANE MAINTAINING ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND LANE MAINTAINING ASSISTANCE METHOD
A lane maintaining assistance device 1 is provided with the following: a first assistance unit that performs steering assistance of a vehicle by hydraulic pressure; a second assistance unit that performs steering assistance of the vehicle using a motor; and a steering assistance control unit 83 that reduces the steering assistance amount of the first assistance unit and starts steering assistance by the second assistance unit if the vehicle is determined to have entered a curve on the basis of a captured image in which a portion of the lane which is forward in the vehicle advancing-direction is captured.
VEHICLE MOVEMENT CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle movement control apparatus of the invention executes a steering control to change a steering angle of an own vehicle at a predetermined changing rate to cause the own vehicle to move along a target movement line set in an own vehicle lane. The apparatus determines that a predetermined responsive characteristic condition is satisfied when another other vehicle moves in a vehicle lane next to the own vehicle lane, and the other vehicle exists in a predetermined area. The apparatus increases the predetermined changing rate to a larger changing rate when the predetermined responsive characteristic condition is satisfied, compared with when the predetermined responsive characteristic condition is not satisfied.
Apparatus for controlling steering angle, lane keeping assist system having the same and method thereof
An apparatus for controlling a steering angle, a system including the same, and a method thereof are provided may include a steering angle gain variation determination device that determines an increase or a decrease of a steering angle gain variation rate depending on a steering angle error value, a steering angle gain determination device that determines a steering angle gain based on the steering angle gain variation rate, a steering angle gain regulation device that determines a final gain by reflecting a driver intention in a steering angle gain, and a steering torque determination device that determines steering torque by use of the final gain.
Drive assist apparatus
A drive assist apparatus includes a position acquisition unit that acquires a position of an own vehicle, a position of a tollgate present ahead of the position of the own vehicle, and a position of a target lane in a road present ahead of the tollgate, a scheduled traveling route creation unit that creates a scheduled traveling route from the position of the own vehicle to the position of the target lane through the position of the tollgate, and a travel control unit that controls the own vehicle so as to travel along the scheduled traveling route.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING BRAKE-ASSISTED STEERING TO A WORK VEHICLE BASED ON WORK VEHICLE WHEEL SPEEDS
In one aspect, a system for providing brake-assisted steering to a work vehicle may include at least one sensor configured to detect at least one parameter associated with a wheel speed differential defined between first and second wheels of the work vehicle. The system may also include a controller configured to determine a target wheel speed differential between the first and second wheels when it is determined that a change in the direction of travel of the work vehicle has been initiated. Furthermore, the controller may be configured to control the operation of a first or second braking device of the work vehicle such that a braking force is applied to an inside wheel of the work vehicle in a manner that adjusts the wheel speed differential towards the target wheel speed differential.
Apparatus and method for estimating a position of a vehicle and a vehicle using same
Described are apparatus and method for estimating a position of a vehicle, and a vehicle using the same. A vehicle location estimation apparatus includes a vehicle sensor configured to detect a vehicle, a communication unit configured to receive traveling information of a further vehicle from the further vehicle, and a controller configured to detect a position of the vehicle and a traveling trajectory of the further vehicle based on information of vehicles detected by the vehicle sensor and traveling information of the further vehicle transmitted from the further vehicle, and to predict a traveling route of the further vehicle, to match the predicted traveling route of the further vehicle with an expected traveling route on a map, thereby correcting the position of the vehicle.
Steering control system and a method for controlling steering
A steering control system for a commercial vehicle having a braking system to brake dissymmetrically wheels. The steering control system, including a sensor unit and a control module, is configured to detect a braking request or deceleration of the vehicle and/or to detect a lateral offset and to generate a brake indication signal and/or steering demand. The control module is configured to receive the brake indication signal and/or steering demand. If the steering demand is below a predetermined threshold value, the control module is configured to generate the steering signal only if the brake indication signal indicates a braking request. If the steering demand exceeds the predetermined threshold value, the control module is configured to generate the steering signal even if the brake indication signal indicates no braking request. The control module provides the steering signal to the braking system to brake the vehicle dissymmetrically to steer the vehicle.
Method for providing assistance to a driver of a vehicle and driving assistance system
A method for providing assistance to a driver of a vehicle, the vehicle including a driver assistance system that enables at least temporary autonomous driving, and that, after the termination of the autonomous driving, requests the driver to take over at least the lateral guidance of the vehicle via a signal. It is further provided that the steering of the vehicle is stiffened for a specified time span after the request to take over the lateral guidance. A computer program and a device that are set up to carry out the method, are also described.
METHOD FOR HAVING A MOTOR VEHICLE PERFORM A DRIVER-INDEPENDENT BRAKING MANEUVER
A method for carrying out a driver-independent braking maneuver of a motor vehicle includes ascertaining a reference trajectory of the motor vehicle, ascertaining a lateral guidance force variable representing the lateral guidance force necessary for guidance of the motor vehicle on the reference trajectory, ascertaining, as a function of the lateral guidance force variable, a longitudinal force variable representing the maximum longitudinal force transferable in a longitudinal vehicle direction, and, based on the longitudinal force variable and driver-independently, establishing a braking force variable representing the braking force of the motor vehicle.
STEERING ASSISTANCE BASED ON DRIVER ANALYTICS AND BEHAVIOR
A computer-implemented method includes: receiving, by a computing device, data identifying steering adjustments made by a driver; determining, by the computing device, an intent of the driver when making the steering adjustments; generating, by the computing device, steering assist instructions based on determining that the intent of the driver is to maintain the vehicle's position within a driving lane; and outputting, by the computing device, the steering assist instructions to counteract the steering adjustments made by the driver and maintain the vehicle's position within the driving lane.
