SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY
A system and method for facilitating physical therapy that may include a wearable display, wearable sensors disposed at varying positions on a user, a processor comprising executable instructions configured to provide a virtual reality environment, virtual characters, and therapeutic activities on the wearable display, wherein the virtual characters interact with the user to provide at least form feedback and positive reinforcement. A new instance of the virtual reality environment, with identifiable differences, may be generated in response to a measured completion or partial completion of a therapeutic activity. Changes in the virtual reality environment may offer users continued indications of progression throughout the duration of a physical therapy program. The system may include a connectable device comprising a display that duplicates a portion of the wearable displays image, enables interaction within the virtual reality environment, and allows for the selection and modification of therapeutic activities.
System for providing a virtual exercise place
A system for providing a user-selectable virtual exercise place. The user exercises while sharing the display of a selected virtual exercise place with another user. The system has an image information database which stores location-based image data related to a virtual exercise place; and an image data controller which selects from the image information database the location-based image data related to the virtual exercise place (hereinafter referred to as “exercise place image data”) received from a first terminal, transmits the selected exercise place image data to the first terminal, displays on the first terminal the exercise place image data corresponding to an exercise start location received from the first terminal, receives movement distance information calculated by a first fitness equipment and displays on the first terminal the exercise place image data corresponding to the location moved by the exercise distance from the exercise start location.
Personal activity tracking system
An activity tracking device is defined to detect and record movement of a person to which the activity tracking device is affixed. A secondary electronic device is defined separate from the activity tracking device. The secondary electronic device is defined to receive data from the activity tracking device regarding the detected and recorded movement of the person. A website is defined to communicate with connected devices including the secondary electronic device. The website is defined to provide a user account for the person. The website is defined to convey information regarding the detected and recorded movement of the person through the user account.
System for providing a virtual exercise place
A virtual exercise place selected by a user is displayed and the user can exercise while sharing the display of the selected virtual exercise place with another user in real time or at a different time. The system has an image information database in which location-based image data related to a virtual exercise place is stored; and an image data controller selecting from the image information database location-based image data related to a virtual exercise place received from the terminal and providing the selected location-based image data to the terminal, displaying on the terminal an exercise place image data corresponding to an exercise start location received from the terminal, receiving exercise distance information calculated by the fitness equipment, and displaying on the terminal an exercise place image data corresponding to a location moved by the exercise distance from the exercise start location.
CONTROL SEQUENCE BASED EXERCISE MACHINE CONTROLLER
A plurality of control sequences is stored. A user state is detected. A next control sequence associated with the user is selected from the plurality of control sequences based at least in part on the user state.
Interactive avatar for social network services
An embodiment is an avatar or avatar environment to visualize data within an athletic performance system or service and/or a social network system or service, for example as part of the Internet. The avatar may further evolve or alter its appearance, animation, or other visual or audio characteristics in response to the data or other input. In particular, the avatar of an embodiment may respond to and provide visualization of athletic or sport performance data. According to one or more aspects, an avatar may be placed on other network sites and updated based on athletic performance data. The avatar may be awarded for goals achieved by a user. The awards or gifts may further include non-avatar related items such as apparel, gift cards and the like.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ALLOWING AN ELECTRONIC PURCHASE UPON COMPLETION OF AN EXERCISE AND/OR ACTIVITY GOAL
Methods and systems are disclosed for allowing an electronic purchase upon completion of an exercise goal and/or a physical activity goal. Exercise and/or physical activity goal criteria can be retrieved for a user. Electronic charge approval criteria can be retrieved for the user, the electronic charge approval criteria based on the exercise and/or physical activity goal criteria. It can be determined whether the exercise and/or physical activity goal criteria has been fulfilled using an electronic measurement system, the electronic measurement system measuring motion data and/or heart rate data for the user. A requested electronic charge can be authorized upon a determination that the electronic charge approval criteria for the user has been fulfilled.
Systems and Methods for Verifying Physical Activities of Users
Systems and methods are described for verifying physical activities of users. The systems and methods can include tags having tag identifiers, where the tags are affixed to articles of manufacture to be worn or used by the user during physical activity. The tag identifiers can be associated with the articles and can be used by the system and methods for verifying the physical activities of the user via one or more verification procedures.
Athletic Performance Sensing and/or Tracking Systems and Methods
Athletic performance sensing and/or tracking systems include components for measuring or sensing athletic performance data and/or for storing and/or displaying desired information associated with the athletic performance to the user (or others). Such systems can allow users a wide variety of options in creating workouts, selecting and presenting media content during the athletic performance, etc., e.g., to help keep users entertained and motivated. In some instances, user feedback may be used, optionally in combination with objective data relating to a workout, to control features of the workout routine, to control the music or other media content selected and/or presented, and/or to control features of future workout routines and/or the presented media content.
TREADMILL HAVING DEODORIZER
A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.
