Systems, apparatus, and methods for managing workouts via exercise specific user interface elements. Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to exercise specific user interface elements (e.g., floating smart timers, etc.) that are automatically pre-populated with data based on prescribed workout information. The user is provided a workout that includes a number of different exercises, and their prescribed completion values. The user can perform the workout and quickly log the pre-populated completion values (if accurate), or alternatively manually enter actual workout data. Additionally, the user can quickly transition through their “checklist” of exercises, based on the prescribed ordering of the workout. The resulting workout data record can be automatically logged at the end of the workout session. The exercise specific user interface allows a user to log workout activity with minimal distraction.

Bicycle power meter

A bicycle power meter includes a strain gauge, a signal processing unit, a processor, and a signal transmitter. The strain gauge is disposed on at least one of an outer peripheral wall and an inner peripheral wall of a handlebar of a bicycle. The signal processing unit connected to the strain gauge by signal correspondingly outputs an electrical signal based on a deformation of the handlebar detected by the strain gauge. The processor connected to the signal processing unit by signal receives the electrical signal sent by the signal processing unit and calculates a measuring value based on the electrical signal and sends the measuring value in an output signal. The signal transmitter connected to the processor by signal receives the output signal sent by the processor and converts the output signal to a wired or wireless signal and sends the wired or wireless signal to a terminal device.

Force measurement system

A force measurement system is disclosed herein. The force measurement system includes a force measurement assembly configured to receive a subject, and one or more data processing devices operatively coupled to the force measurement assembly. In one embodiment, the one or more data processing devices are configured to determine a difference between a center of pressure and a center of mass for the subject from output force and/or moment data, and to determine the fall risk of the subject based upon the difference between the center of pressure and the center of mass for the subject. In another embodiment, the one or more data processing devices are configured to determine one or more balance parameters of the subject from the output force and/or moment data while the subject is stepping onto the top surface of the force measurement assembly and/or stepping off the top surface of the force measurement assembly.

BALANCE TRAINING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods are disclosed for human balance training. The systems and methods involve intermittently occluding the vision of a subject while the subject is engaged in a balance activity, such as walking on a balance beam, for example. Creating a brief period of continuous visual occlusion results in posterior parietal cortex activation, leading to enhanced balance training. The end result is much greater improvement in balance compared to physical training alone.
