Method of Conducting Interactive Computer Sports on and off the Internet
A multifunctional self-contained system that wirelessly integrates actual sports equipment with a computer providing critical feedback to improve all aspects of a player's game, and also allows players to play an actual competitive real or visually simulated game or sports with one or more players. Therefore, an individual player may opt to play solo or practice to improve basic golfing skills and techniques. The system includes sport implements that include, but are not limited to, smart golf clubs, a golf ball receptacle and a golf club motion sensing device, all containing circuits with contact sensors and or motion sensors coupled with signal processing and radio frequency transmitter circuitry to wirelessly communicate game status and performance parameters to a remote receiver and computer. The computer then optionally displays important parameters such as proximity of a sports implement contact face to an object, the impact of a sports implement with a sports equipment item, wherein the contact force, contact time, impact location, face angle, spatial orientation of a sports implement in motion, and the subsequent energy, velocity, and trajectory of game projectile such as a golf ball. The sports implements can be further equipped with motion sensing devices, and its motion and swing trajectory is visually simulated on the computer display. Standard sport implements which include, but are not limited to, golf clubs may be retrofitted with the device sensors and associated electronic circuitry to convert such clubs into smart clubs for use with the system. The system employs specially developed computer software to process player performance data, control game play, communicate game information to players, generate and control visual simulations, and display player performance information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING AND PREDICTING EMOTIONAL STATES AND AFFECTS AND PROVIDING REAL TIME FEEDBACK
Systems and methods for estimating emotional states, moods, affects of an individual and providing feedback to the individual or others are disclosed. Systems and methods that provide real time detection and monitoring of physical aspects of an individual and/or aspects of the individual's activity and means of estimating that person's emotional state or affect and change to those are also disclosed. Real time feedback to the individual about the person's emotional change, change or potential change is provided to the user, helping the user cope, adjust or appropriately act on their emotions.
ACTIVITY TRACKING SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE MONITORING DEVICES
A method for providing activity data to a user for a workout session includes receipt of first activity data from a first activity sensor and receipt of second activity data from a second activity sensor during the workout session. A first parameter is generated for a workout attribute based on the first activity data received during a first time interval of the workout session, and a second parameter is generated for the workout attribute based on the second activity data received during a second time interval of the workout session. An aggregate parameter for the workout attribute is generated based on both the first parameter and the second parameter. The first activity data and the second activity data generated during the workout session are transmitted to a remote server where a third parameter for the workout attribute is generated.
Exercise machine support system
An exercise machine support system for providing increased versatility including inclination or declination of an exercise surface, a reduction in the overall length and width of the exercise machine, and an enhanced user interface which reduces the risk of injury. The exercise machine support system generally includes a cantilevered exercise machine which is adapted to have a variable angle of incline or decline with respect to a horizontal ground surface. The exercise machine will generally include a base and a support which extends between the base and the exercise machine. The upper end of the support is connected to the exercise machine by a first pivot such that the exercise machine pivots about the support. An adjustment device may be utilized to pivot the exercise machine and thus adjust its angle of incline. Various types of adjustment devices are disclosed, including an actuator, ratchet-and-pawl, gears, and cam.
Exercise machine inclination device
An exercise machine inclination device for providing variable exercise intensity on an exercise machine by inclining the exercise machine. The exercise machine inclination device generally includes a base adapted for being positioned upon a floor, a support structure adapted for supporting the exercise machine, a hinge pivotally connecting the base and the support structure and an actuator connected between the base and the support structure, wherein the actuator adjusts an angle of the support structure.
BICYCLE CLIMBING AND DESCENDING TRAINING DEVICE
A training device for use with a bicycle includes a shuttle guide member including a lower end and an upper end that define an axis therebetween. A shuttle is operably coupleable to a front end of the bicycle and translatable along the axis by a drive coupled to the shuttle. When coupled to the front end of the bicycle, translation of the shuttle along the axis by the drive results in each of a rotation of the shuttle guide member about a pivot and a change in elevation of the front end of the bicycle.
EXERCISE MANAGEMENT DEVICE USING HULA HOOP HAVING DEVICE FOR MEASURING SPINNING DIRECTION AND EXERCISE AMOUNT
An exercise management device using a hula hoop having a device for measuring spinning direction and exercise amount includes: an annular body part; a sensor unit including a gyro sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a gravity sensor; a hula hoop including a control unit including a MICOM for receiving and analyzing a data value detected by the sensor unit to calculate and obtain exercise information, a communication unit having a Bluetooth chip for transmitting the exercise information or the data value, and a power unit for switching on/off the control unit; and a wireless communication device having a dedicated program for receiving the exercise information or the data value transmitted from the communication unit and displaying the exercise information.
Smart Acoustic Drum and Sing Music System
A system that wirelessly integrates actual drum equipment and singing equipment with a computer and the internet to allow musicians and or singers remotely located from one another to play music and or a competitive real or simulated music and or singing competition. An individual musician may opt to play music solo or practice to improve basic music, drumming, and or singing techniques. The system includes smart music and drum systems, an audio detection system, and drum motion sensing devices, all containing circuits and contact sensors or motion sensors, coupled with signal processing and radio frequency transmitter circuitry, thereby wirelessly communicating game performance information to a remote receiver-computer. The computer displays musician and or singing information, and visually simulates and controls a music and or a singing competition between two or more musicians, via the internet, having similar equipment and remotely located from each other. Standard drum sets may be retrofitted with the sensors and associated circuitry to convert such drum sets into smart drum sets for use with the system. Standard microphones may be retrofitted with the sensors and associated circuitry to convert such microphones into smart microphones for use with the system. The system employs specially developed computer software to process musician performance data, control the music competition, communicate music and information between musicians and or singers, generate and control visual simulations, and display singer and or musician performance information.
