A device for stabilizing a vehicle after a collision against a lateral carriageway boundary, includes a lane recognition system, with which information relating to the course of the lane is determined or detected. A collision detection unit identifies a collision of the vehicle against the lateral lane carriageway boundary on the basis of signals from at least one sensor or on the basis of a driving state variable. The device also includes a steering actuator for steering a steering system and a brake actuator for controlling one or more wheel brakes. A target path determination unit determines a target path for the vehicle on the basis of the course of the lane determined or detected before or at the time of the collision. A controller guides the vehicle onto the target path and/or stabilizes the vehicle via a steering intervention and/or individual wheel brake interventions.

A simulating method for an electric vehicle (EV) includes creating a simulation model associating a plurality of target behaviors of a target vehicle with the EV, obtaining a plurality of vehicle parameters of the EV to generate a set of EV control parameters, obtaining a plurality of configuration parameters of the target vehicle, based on the set of EV control parameters and the plurality of configuration parameters of the target vehicle, using the simulation model to provide a set of simulated target-vehicle controls, where the simulation model is a neural network trained to reflect a relationship between the set of EV control parameters and the set of simulated target-vehicle controls, and outputting the set of simulated target-vehicle controls to the EV, such that the EV is controlled to achieve the plurality of target behaviors of the target vehicle based on the set of simulated target-vehicle controls.
Systems and methods for navigating a vehicle among encroaching vehicles
Systems and methods use cameras to provide autonomous navigation features. In one implementation, a method for navigating a user vehicle may include acquiring, using at least one image capture device, a plurality of images of an area in a vicinity of the user vehicle; determining from the plurality of images a first lane constraint on a first side of the user vehicle and a second lane constraint on a second side of the user vehicle opposite to the first side of the user vehicle; enabling the user vehicle to pass a target vehicle if the target vehicle is determined to be in a lane different from the lane in which the user vehicle is traveling; and causing the user vehicle to abort the pass before completion of the pass, if the target vehicle is determined to be entering the lane in which the user vehicle is traveling.
Systems and methods for navigating a vehicle among encroaching vehicles
Systems and methods use cameras to provide autonomous navigation features. In one implementation, a method for navigating a user vehicle may include acquiring, using at least one image capture device, a plurality of images of an area in a vicinity of the user vehicle; determining from the plurality of images a first lane constraint on a first side of the user vehicle and a second lane constraint on a second side of the user vehicle opposite to the first side of the user vehicle; enabling the user vehicle to pass a target vehicle if the target vehicle is determined to be in a lane different from the lane in which the user vehicle is traveling; and causing the user vehicle to abort the pass before completion of the pass, if the target vehicle is determined to be entering the lane in which the user vehicle is traveling.
DEMARCATION LINE RECOGNITION APPARATUS
A demarcation line recognition apparatus (10) is applied to a vehicle in which an imaging apparatus (21) that captures an image of an area ahead of the vehicle is mounted. The demarcation line recognition apparatus (10) includes: a demarcation line recognizing unit (11) that recognizes a traveling demarcation line that demarcates a traveling lane of the vehicle based on an image acquired by the imaging apparatus (21); and a demarcation line estimating unit (12) that estimates a shape of the traveling demarcation line in a range that cannot be recognized by the demarcation line recognizing unit (11), based on the traveling demarcation line recognized by the demarcation line recognizing unit (11). The demarcation line recognition apparatus (10) determines a reliability level of the traveling demarcation line recognized by the demarcation line recognizing unit (11) and invalidates the estimation of the shape of the traveling demarcation line by the demarcation line estimating unit (12) based on the determination result.
