SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REGION OF INTEREST WINDOW GENERATION FOR ATTENTION BASED PERCEPTION
A system for an attention-based perception includes a camera device configured to provide an image of an operating environment of a vehicle. The system further includes a computerized device monitoring the image, analyzing sensor data to identify a feature in the image as corresponding to an object in the operating environment and assign a score for the feature based upon an identification, a location, or a behavior of the object. The computerized device is further operable to define candidate regions of interest upon the image, correlate the score for the feature to the candidate regions of interest to accrue a total region score, select some of the candidate regions for analysis based upon the total region scores, and analyze the portion of the candidate regions to generate a path of travel output. The system further includes a device controlling the vehicle based upon the output.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING FLEXIBLE CONTROL OF VEHICLES BY DIVERSE AGENTS IN AUTONOMOUS DRIVING SIMULATION
Method and system for controlling the behavior of an object. Behavior of the object is controlled during a first time period by using a first agent that applies a first behavior policy to map observations about the object and the environment in the first time period to a corresponding control action. Control is transitioned from the first agent to a second agent during a transition period following the first time period. Behavior of the object during a second time period following the transition period is controlled by using a second agent that applies a second behavior policy to map observations about the object and the environment in the second time period to a corresponding control action that is applied to the object. During transition the first agent applies the first behavior policy control the object and the second agent applies the second behavior policy to map observations about the object and the environment to corresponding control actions that are not applied to the object.

VEHICULAR TOPPLE RISK NOTIFICATION
Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to generating a notification about a risk of a target vehicle toppling over due to wind. In one embodiment, a method includes determining a wind force of the wind at a location of the target vehicle and determining one or more characteristics of the target vehicle. The method includes determining whether there is a risk of the target vehicle toppling over based on the wind force of the wind and the one or more characteristics of the target vehicle. The method includes generating a notification about the risk.
Driver Assistance System for the Automated Longitudinal Guidance of a Motor Vehicle
A driver assistance system for automated longitudinal guidance of a motor vehicle configured to detect at least one turning opportunity for the motor vehicle, and to reduce the speed of the motor vehicle in accordance with the at least one detected turning opportunity.

VEHICLE MOTION CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE MOTION CONTROL METHOD
An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle motion control device that generates a travel path capable of realizing comfortable ride comfort and high safety with a small physical quantity related to a vehicle behavior such as a longitudinal acceleration, a lateral acceleration, and a vertical acceleration generated when a vehicle passes or avoids with respect to a predetermined region such as unevenness on a course of a vehicle. Therefore, the vehicle motion control device includes a vehicle behavior prediction portion that predicts a physical quantity related to a vehicle behavior that occurs when a vehicle maintains a reference route toward a predetermined region on a course and a physical quantity related to a vehicle behavior that occurs when the vehicle shifts to an avoidance route for avoiding the predetermined region, and a path generation portion that generates a travel path defined by the reference route or the avoidance route in which the physical quantity is smaller than a defined value.

UNMANNED VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, UNMANNED VEHICLE, AND UNMANNED VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
An unmanned vehicle control method for setting a permitted area where traveling is permitted for each unmanned vehicle, the unmanned vehicle control method includes: acquiring unmanned vehicle data including position data of the unmanned vehicle; acquiring road surface condition data of a travel path on which the unmanned vehicle travels; and generating data including a permitted area in the travel path of the unmanned vehicle, a stop point in the permitted area, and a target traveling speed for the unmanned vehicle to stop at the stop point on a basis of the unmanned vehicle data that has been acquired, wherein the permitted area is set on a basis of the road surface condition data of a predetermined area including the stop point.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT, AND ROAD INFORMATION DISTRIBUTION METHOD
In a road information distribution system, a cloud server detects to road location where an abnormality is occurring based on vehicle location information of a plurality of vehicles or vehicle controlling amount of a plurality of vehicles, and transmits an abnormal road location to a vehicle before identifying a cause of the abnormality. The road information distribution system then notifies the abnormal road location to a driver of the vehicle when the vehicle approaches a predetermined distance from the abnormal road location.
