Safety device for assisting a user to traverse a structure
A system assists a user to traverse a structure. A safety device includes a sensor assembly to detect positions of a user along a travel path for a structure, wherein the travel path includes a plurality of attachment points to secure the user to the structure via one or more lines, a motion assembly to move the safety device along the travel path based on the detected positions of the user, wherein the motion assembly maintains a threshold distance from the user, and a coupling mechanism to couple the one or more lines to one or more of the attachment points encountered along the travel path. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and program product for assisting a user to traverse a structure in substantially the same manner described above.

CONNECTOR, RELEASABLE CAMBIUM SAVER PROVIDED WITH ONE SUCH CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF
A connector includes a first ring with a blocker collaborating with a rod. The rod is movable between a first position where the first ring is closed and a second position where the first ring is open. The blocker is movable between a first position collaborating with the rod to keep the first ring closed and a second position allowing opening of the first ring. A second ring includes a probe. The probe is connected to the blocker. When the distance between the probe and the sliding area is greater than a threshold value, the probe prevents opening of the first ring by the blocker. When the distance between the probe and the sliding area is smaller than the threshold value, the probe allows opening of the first ring by the blocker.

Rigid Friction Brake Tether
A rigid tether for use with a friction brake. The tether has a rigid handle with a pulley arm and pulley at one end. The friction brake is attached to rotate about a brake hole at one end of the handle. A pulley arm with pulley is attached to rotate about a pulley hole at the other end of the handle. The pulley arm is two parallel plates, a fixed plate and a gate plate, with an axle between them on which his mounted the pulley. The plates, pulley, and handle define a rope slot. The gate plate can pivot on the axle to provide access to the rope slot.
Lanyard pulley attachment
An adjustable positioning lanyard and repelling device with a hook on each side structured and arranged to have one end attach to a user's anchor and the other goes on a user's harness. The hook that attaches on the harness is an adjustable device. The device may provide a user the option to position on any solid anchor without having to hold themselves with any of their hands.

THREADED ANCHOR FOR ICE CLIMBING
A threaded anchor for ice climbing, comprising: —a screw with a cylindrical tubular body, a number of cutting teeth, a rearward perimetric protruding threaded section; —a clamp disposed exteriorly with regard to the screw and comprising an operating component, displaceable between: a locked position, where the tightening of the clamp and the fixing thereof at any point along the length of the screw is established, and an unlocked position, enabling the turning of the clamp with regard to the screw and the positioning of the clamp at any point along the length of said screw; —a folded strap attached by its first end to the clamp and presenting at its second end a closed loop for the mounting of a carabiner suited for the hitching of the climbing rope in its position of use or of a harness of the climber in an inoperative position.
Mountain climbing training apparatus
A training apparatus for mountain climbers. The training apparatus includes a base portion and a ring member. The ring member extends substantially perpendicular from the base portion. The training apparatus can also include an attachment mechanism secured to the base portion for securing the training apparatus to a surface.
AVALANCHE AIRBAG SYSTEM
An avalanche airbag system with an inflatable airbag and a filling unit for filling the airbag with a fluid has at least one pressure vessel containing a fluid, and a trigger mechanism for opening the at least one pressure vessel as required.
