A method, performed by a control device, for starting a combustion engine during free-wheeling with engine off is described. The method comprises a step of controlling the clutch to a partially closed state, thereby starting the combustion engine; a step of controlling the clutch to an open state when the combustion engine has started, but prior to the output shaft of the combustion engine has reached a rotational speed synchronized with the rotational speed of the input shaft of the gearbox; and a step of synchronizing the speed of the combustion engine to the speed of the input shaft of the gearbox through control of fuel injection to the combustion engine.
GEAR SHIFT ACTUATION SIMPLIFICATION
A transmission is subject to gear shift management that provides for shifting gears in a controlled manner in order to provide for a simplification of part and reduction in system complexity. In particular, a range synchronizer component can be replaced with a simplified range jaw clutch, without incurring a requirement for an installation of other components such as a motor generator or starter-generator.
Control device and control method for automatic transmission
The transmission control unit includes a gear ratio abnormality determination unit and a limp home control unit. The gear ratio abnormality determination unit is configured to determine that a gear ratio is abnormal when, during travelling at a predetermined gear position, a difference between an actual gear ratio, which is calculated based on a transmission input shaft rotation speed and a transmission output shaft rotation speed, and a set gear ratio at the predetermined gear position is equal to or greater than a set value. The limp home control unit is configured to, when the gear ratio abnormality determination unit determines that the gear ratio is abnormal, output a disengagement instruction for disengaging all of the plurality of friction elements, when it is confirmed that a neutral state is shifted to according to the output of the disengagement instruction, determine engagement/disengagement of a specific friction element among the plurality of friction elements based on rotation/stop information of a rotation member of the stepped transmission mechanism, and determine an evacuation gear position based on determination information on the engagement/disengagement of the specific friction element, and shift the gear position to the determined evacuation gear position.
Vehicle control device
A vehicle control device is configured to: execute a fuel cut control for stopping fuel supply to the internal combustion engine in response to a deceleration request to the vehicle; engage the lock-up clutch and open a throttle of the vehicle during the execution of the fuel cut control; close the throttle and execute the motor assist in a case where there is an acceleration request to the vehicle while the lock-up clutch is engaged, the throttle is opened, and the fuel cut control is executed; end the fuel cut control and resume fuel supply to the internal combustion engine when an intake pressure of the internal combustion engine reaches a predetermined startable negative pressure after the throttle is closed; and disengage the lock-up clutch when the fuel supply to the internal combustion engine is resumed.
VEHICLE GEAR-SHIFTING CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle gear-shifting control apparatus is equipped with an engine, a motor, an automatic transmission, a friction brake system, and a controller which executes, during deceleration of a vehicle during which the friction brake system is distributing a braking force to front and rear wheels, a regeneration control of imparting a regenerative braking torque to the rear wheels by causing the motor to perform a regeneration operation and a gear-shifting control of changing a shift stage of the automatic transmission by outputting a gear-shifting signal in accordance with the rotation speed of an input shaft to the automatic transmission. When the controller determines an oversteered state of the vehicle during the regeneration control, the controller increases an input torque of the input shaft so that the regenerative braking torque decreases while maintaining the regeneration operation of the motor and, at the same time, limits the gear-shifting control.
Vehicle control device
In a driven state phase, target input torque is limited to a first limit value, whereas in a backlash-elimination state phase, the target input torque is limited to a second limit value and target engine torque and torque of a motor-generator are controlled according to the target input torque. In the backlash-elimination state phase, the target input torque is limited to the second limit value that is suitable for mitigating rattling shock, so that rattling shock can be appropriately mitigated. Meanwhile, in the driven state phase, the target input torque is limited to the relatively high first limit value, so that an MG rotation speed can be quickly increased to eliminate a rotational difference, which enhances the responsiveness of driving power up to when required driving power is obtained after elimination of the backlash.
SEQUENTIAL TRANSMISSION SHIFT SYSTEM

The apparatus includes (i) a control motor mechanically connected to the transmission's selector drum and is actuable to rotate the selector drum, (ii) a torque sensor which senses torque applied to the selector drum by the control motor, (iii) a controller configured to control the control motor based on signals received from the torque sensor to control the engagement/disengagement of the dog clutches; and (iv) a cam indexer connected to the selector drum. The cam indexer includes (i) a cam sprocket having one gear detent corresponding to each of gear engagement position of the selector drum, and one neutral detent corresponding to each neutral position of the selector drum, and (ii) a cam follower that engages with the gear detents and biases the selector drum into either a corresponding gear engagement position or a corresponding neutral position.
