A control apparatus for a vehicle includes a control portion configured to control an input torque to an automatic transmission such that a value representing a rotating state of an input rotary member of the automatic transmission coincides with a target value; a racing determining portion configured to determine whether a rotating speed of an engine is predicted to exceed a predetermined rotating speed when control is provided such that the value representing the rotating state of the input rotary member of the automatic transmission coincides with the target value during a power-on shift-down action of the automatic transmission; and an output limiting portion configured to limit the output torque of the engine to a predetermined torque or less if the rotating speed of the engine is predicted to exceed the predetermined rotating speed during the power-on shift-down action of the automatic transmission.
Control apparatus for vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus
A control apparatus for a vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus that includes a gear mechanism and a continuously-variable transmission mechanism including a primary pulley, a secondary pulley, a transfer element that is looped over the primary and secondary pulleys, and an actuator configured to apply, to the primary pulley, a thrust, based on which the transfer element is to be clamped by the primary pulley. The vehicle drive-force transmitting apparatus defines a first drive-force transmitting path for transmitting a drive force through the gear mechanism and a second drive-force transmitting path for transmitting the drive force through the continuously-variable transmission mechanism. The control apparatus is configured, upon vehicle deceleration with the first drive-force transmitting path being established, to set a lower limit value of the above-described thrust, based on a gear ratio of the continuously-variable transmission mechanism and an amount of change of a rotational speed of the primary pulley.
System and method for modeling and estimating engine cranking torque disturbances during starts and stops
A method of controlling a hybrid vehicle includes commanding a first electric machine to provide a compensating torque. The compensating torque is based on a calculated cylinder pressure. The calculated cylinder pressure is calculated using a dynamic model. The model has an initializing input of engine crank position and real-time inputs of measured speed of the first electric machine and measured speed of the second electric machine.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING GEAR SHIFT FOR HYBRID VEHICLE INCLUDING DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION
A method of controlling gear shift for a hybrid vehicle with a dual clutch transmission (DCT) may include making a request for reduction in transmission input torque at a time point of entrance into down shift to a first stage from a second stage, determining whether the vehicle is accelerated via manipulation of an accelerator pedal during the down shift, and controlling to begin to gradually reduce an transmission input torque reduction request amount in a torque phase period in which clutch torque is exchanged after a first-stage gear is engaged upon determining that the vehicle is accelerated during the gear shift.
Device and method for hydraulically controlling continuously variable transmission for vehicle
A hydraulic pressure control device for a continuously variable transmission of a vehicle which a continuously variable transmission mechanism; a stepwise variable transmission mechanism; a shift control means, the hydraulic pressure control device includes: the shift control means including a line pressure control section configured to increase the line pressure to be greater than the line pressure before a generation of an oil vibration when the oil vibration is generated in at least one of actual hydraulic pressures of the primary pressure and the secondary pressure, and the line pressure control section being configured to continue the increase of the line pressure until the shift of the stepwise variable transmission mechanism is finished when the stepwise variable transmission is shifted in a state where the line pressure is increased.
Vehicle and vehicle launch method
A vehicle includes a transmission, friction brakes, and a controller. The transmission has a clutch that is configured to transfer torque from an input of the transmission to a drive wheel. The controller is programmed to, in response to application of the friction brakes resulting in a stationary position of the vehicle, disengage the clutch to establish a neutral condition of the transmission. The controller is also programmed to, in response to a command to launch the vehicle while the transmission is in the neutral condition, engage the clutch. The controller is further programmed to, in response to an estimated wheel torque exceeding a rollback threshold during the clutch engagement, release the friction brakes. The wheel torque is based on an estimated clutch torque which is based on a clutch pressure and a transmission input torque.
Methods and system for improving hybrid vehicle transmission gear shifting
Methods and systems are provided for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle that may include an internal combustion engine, a rear drive unit electric machine, an integrated starter/generator, and a transmission are described. In one example, torque capacity of an on-coming clutch is adjusted during an inertia phase of a power-on upshift to improve shift smoothness.
Method for operating a transmission device for a motor vehicle, and corresponding transmission device
A method for operating a transmission device for a motor vehicle. A driving gear is selected from a quantity of driving gears and set to the transmission. At the same time, in a normal operating state, the driving gear quantity is compiled from a specific number of driving gears contained in a total quantity of the driving gears, containing all of the driving gears. The driving gear quantity is compiled as a function of at least one state variable of the motor vehicle.
Motor vehicle having at least two drive motors and having an automatic gearbox that has one fixed and one power-split transmission ratio
A motor vehicle has at least two drive motors, at least one drive motor being an electric machine; a high-voltage accumulator; and an automatic gearbox, having at least one fixed transmission ratio and at least one power-split transmission ratio for transmission regulation starting from the at least one fixed transmission ratio. The motor vehicle further includes an electronic control unit, which is designed such that, when a gear change command is present, the shifting element to be opened of the fixed transmission ratio to be disengaged is unloaded in a torque-controlled manner by at least two of the drive motors. For the shifting element to be opened, the torque load is calculated and observed. The torque load is observed with the objective of bringing about a load change by way of a zero crossing in order to produce a no-load state at the shifting element. For producing the no-load state of the shifting element to be opened, a first drive motor and a second drive motor are controlled in a power split manner such that they, in terms of rotational speeds, maintain the transmission of the previously engaged fixed transmission ratio, and, in terms of torque, put the shifting element to be opened in an at least nearly no-load state, and a load change is brought about at the shifting element to be opened by a differential rotational speed, opposite the calculated torque load at the shifting element to be opened, being specified at the shifting element.
