A drive device for a PTO shaft includes a parking switch to detect a parking state of a vehicle body, a permission switch constituted of a self-returning switch and connected to the parking switch, the permission switch being configured to be switched to permit driving a PTO shaft, the PTO shaft being configured to be driven by a power of a prime mover disposed on the vehicle body, and a first switch device to be switched to enable the PTO shaft to be driven when the permission switch is switched to permit driving the PTO shaft under a state where the parking switch detects the parking state of the vehicle body.

System and method for energy efficient prognostics

Described herein is a server computing system that controls an autonomous vehicle to perform an operation to at least one of measure or isolate an effect of a variable on an actual power consumption by the autonomous vehicle. Data indicative of the actual power consumption, which is generated based on the operation, and data indicative of a projected power consumption, which is accumulated based on prior execution of the operation by a same or different autonomous vehicle, is received by the server computing system to determine whether an energy efficiency of the autonomous vehicle is degraded. The operation may be performed to identify a degraded vehicle system or component of the autonomous vehicle or to identify an autonomous vehicle in a fleet of autonomous vehicles for which further analysis is desirable. An output is generated by the server computing system that is indicative of the energy efficiency prognostics.

A vehicle drive system for a vehicle including a first prime mover, a first prime mover driven transmission, and a rechargeable power source can be configured for reduced fuel consumption at idle. The vehicle drive system includes an electric motor in direct or indirect mechanical communication with the first prime mover. The control system causes fuel to be eliminated to the first prime mover while the vehicle is stopped and causes the electric motor to rotate the first prime mover at a speed, thereby reducing fuel consumption at idle for the vehicle.

A utility vehicle with regenerative braking is disclosed. The utility vehicle includes a power bus, a battery coupled to the system power bus, and at least one electric drive motor to generate power through regenerative braking and supply the generated power onto the power bus. The utility vehicle includes a power regulation controller configured to direct the generated power to the battery to recharge the battery when the battery is not fully charged, direct the generated power to at least one power sink to consume the generated power when the battery is fully charged and the generated power is less than or equal to a power consumption limit, and reduce a maximum travel speed to reduce an amount of power generated by the at least one electric drive motor through regenerative braking when the battery is fully charged and the generated power is greater than the power consumption limit.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO USE PEAK POWER IN A TARGETED MANNER

A system and method of utilizing a power boost feature is disclosed. The power boost feature enables the vehicle to produce a greater amount of power when needed, for example, to provide launch assist or overtake assist in a vehicle. A power boost request processor may receive information from a plurality of information systems of the vehicle, including, for example, vehicle mass, enablement of an accelerator pedal kick down switch, an amount of time passed between power boost system functions as communicated by a timer, operation and/or status of a cooling system, system enablement, transmission enablement, vehicle speed, position of an accelerator pedal, grade of the road as communicated by a road-grade sensor, actual vehicle power, actual available vehicle power, available battery power, look ahead information, powertrain health, route information, existence of emission zones, weather, and advanced driver-assistance systems.

Method and system for heating auxiliary battery of vehicle

A vehicle includes an auxiliary battery and one or more accessory loads. An accessory load command is modulated such that the auxiliary battery outputs a discharge current to an accessory load. The discharge current has, in addition to a current component for driving the accessory load, an alternating current (AC) component to cause a temperature of the auxiliary battery to increase.

Hybrid vehicle control system

A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, an electric machine, and a controller. The electric machine is rotatably coupled to the engine and is configured to deliver electrical power to electrical accessories. The controller is programmed to, in response to a control signal loss between the electric machine and the controller, limit torque output of electric machine to less than a torque threshold that corresponds to the power threshold. The controller is further programmed to, in response an accessory power demand being greater than the power threshold, control the engine to power the electric machine to increase the torque output of electric machine to greater than the torque threshold to meet the accessory power demand.

Methods and system for operating an engine in the presence of engine sensor degradation

Systems and methods for operating a vehicle that includes an engine and an integrated starter/generator are described. In one example, torque generated via the engine is based on a requested driveline torque and a torque of an electric machine when degradation of an engine sensor is present. The torque generated via the engine may be adjusted responsive to a requested engine torque and a feedback engine torque that is based on output of an engine airflow sensor.
