Methods and systems for a remote transportation system including a first autonomous vehicle, at least one second autonomous vehicle and a remote transportation server are provided. The at least one second autonomous vehicle includes non-transitory computer readable media and one or more processors configured by programming instructions on the non-transitory computer readable media to: receive a request for tow service from the remote transportation server, wherein the request includes a location of the first autonomous vehicle; locate and identify the first autonomous vehicle based on the request; create a communicate link between the first autonomous vehicle and the second autonomous vehicle; select at least one of a centralized towing method and a projection-based towing method based on the request; and perform autonomous towing of the first autonomous vehicle based on the selected of the at least one of the centralized towing method and the projection-based towing method.

EARLY DETECTION OF ABNORMAL DRIVING BEHAVIOR
20230073151 · 2023-03-09 ·

The disclosure includes embodiments for early detection of abnormal driving behavior. A method according to some embodiments includes sensing, by a sensor set of an ego vehicle, a remote vehicle to generate sensor data describing driving behavior of the remote vehicle. The method includes comparing the sensor data to a set of criteria for abnormal driving behavior. The method includes determining that a subset of the set of criteria are described by the sensor data. The subset satisfies a threshold for early detection of abnormal driving behavior. For example, detecting the subset triggers the determination that abnormal driving behavior is detected. The method includes determining that the remote vehicle is engaged in abnormal driving behavior based on satisfaction of threshold. In some embodiments, an abnormal driving behavior is one which satisfies a threshold for abnormality or matches a pattern of an identified abnormal driving behavior.

STEERING CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD
20230075998 · 2023-03-09 ·

The present disclosure relates to a steering control apparatus and a method. More specifically, the steering control apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: a receiver that receives first vehicle traveling information and first vehicle vicinity information of a host vehicle from a plurality of sensors and a navigator; and a controller that sets a monitoring range (a region of interest (ROI)) on a traveling path on which the host vehicle is predicted to travel based on the first vehicle traveling information and the first vehicle vicinity information, determines a possibility of a collision between the host vehicle and an object in a case where the object is detected inside the monitoring range, and generates a control signal used for avoiding a collision with the object in a case where the possibility of the collision is a threshold point or higher.

HOLDING STRUCTURE FOR OPTIONAL COMPONENT
20230071497 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A holding structure for an optional component, the optional component configured to be added to a saddle-type vehicle, the holding structure includes a brace extending forward from a head pipe of a vehicle front portion, a plate supported from below by the brace, and a holder for the optional component provided on the plate. A periphery of a meter configured to display vehicle information is covered with a meter cover. The meter is supported by the plate so as to be exposed from the meter cover, and the optional component is held inside the meter cover by the holder.

Driving cues and coaching

A method, medium, and apparatus for educating and reducing risk to inexperienced drivers using vehicles with autonomous navigation systems. Data regarding a driver's past experience with vehicles and operating environments may be used to proactively warn the driver about a potential danger detected or predicted by the vehicle. An autonomous vehicle may prevent the driver from operating the vehicle under unfamiliar circumstances or from causing a collision. Data regarding a driver's past experience with vehicles and the safety features thereof may be used to mitigate risk of injury or property damage by selectively activating safety features in a new vehicle which the driver has not previously driven. Data regarding a driver's past experience with vehicles and safety features thereof may be used to determine a decreased or increased rental rate for a particular vehicle.

Apparatus, method, computer program, base station and vehicle for providing information related to an approaching vehicle

Embodiments relate to a method, an apparatus, a computer program, a base station and a vehicle for providing information related to an approaching vehicle. The method comprises Receiving (110) information related to a velocity of a plurality of vehicles. The method further comprises Determining (120) the information related to the approaching vehicle based on the information related to the velocity of the plurality of vehicles. The information related to the approaching vehicle indicates a presence of a vehicle of the plurality of vehicles having a velocity higher than an average velocity of the plurality of vehicles. The method further comprises Providing (130) the information related to the approaching vehicle to at least a subset of vehicles of the plurality of vehicles.

Method and system for detecting a lane

A method detects a lane for a transverse guidance of a vehicle. The transverse guidance of the vehicle is based on a roadway model. The method has the steps of ascertaining one or more features which are suitable for influencing the detection of the lane; detecting a lane on the basis of a sensor system of the vehicle; and ascertaining the roadway model on the basis of the detected lane and the ascertained one or more features. The method optionally has the steps of additionally receiving navigation data and transversely guiding the vehicle on the basis of the ascertained roadway model.

Determining an undesired action of a vehicle

It is presented a method performed in a vehicle action determiner for determining an undesired action of a first vehicle and a resulting action. The method comprises: detecting that a first user is focusing on the first vehicle; acquiring brain activity data of the first user; determining a negative reaction of the first user based on the brain activity data; determining when the first vehicle is performing an undesired action based on the first user focusing on the first vehicle and the negative reaction of the first user; determining the resulting action taken by an autonomous vehicle, based on the first vehicle performing the undesired action; and triggering the autonomous vehicle to perform the resulting action.
