Wireless Golf Ball Charging Apparatus
A method and system for charging an electronic golf ball are described herein. The system is made up of a charging apparatus and an electronic golf ball. The charging apparatus includes a holder for holding the electronic golf ball, a power transmitting apparatus mounted within the holder, the power transmitting apparatus encircling an area where the electronic golf ball is located when the electronic golf ball is to be charged, and a power supply electrically connected to the power transmitting device. The electronic golf ball includes an outer shell, a ball core covered by the outer shell, a power receiving apparatus within the ball core, wherein the power receiving apparatus receives power wirelessly from the power transmitting apparatus, a printed circuit board electrically connected to the power receiving apparatus, and a battery connected to the printed circuit board.
GOLF BALLS WITH KINETIC PROJECTILES
Golf balls are disclosed that include a centerline axis; an aperture located within the centerline axis; and a kinetic projectile located within the aperture. The kinetic projectile may consist of a hammer actuated .22 caliber single shot load or .27 caliber single shot load. The aperture may, optionally, further include an amount of black powder disposed therein. The golf balls are configured to launch farther and/or produce a striking sound greater than conventional golf balls—when the balls are struck on the backside of the kinetic projectile disposed within the aperture of the golf balls.
GOLF BALLS WITH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION COMPONENTS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEM
A method for manufacturing a golf ball. The method includes creating a core with a cavity therein and positioning electronics in the cavity. The method further includes filing the cavity with a fill material while the electronics are positioned in the cavity such that the core, the electronics, and the fill material together form a spherical body, and such that when the fill material is cured the spherical body is balanced about a center thereof. The method further includes curing the fill material and covering the spherical body with an exterior cover.
Golf Ball Cleaning Device
A golf ball cleaning device for on demand cleaning of golf balls includes a tube, which has a top that is open and a bottom that is closed. A cap is selectively engageable to the tube to close the top. The tube and the cap define an interior space. A plurality of scrubbing elements is engaged to the tube and is positioned in the interior space. A cleaning solution and a golf ball are insertable through the top into the tube, positioning a user to engage the cap to the tube and to shake the tube. The golf ball is motivated repeatedly across the plurality of scrubbing elements to clean the golf ball.
Novelty golf ball
The present invention relates generally to a novelty golf ball that has a plurality of internal electrical components capable of storing and playing a sound recording when motion of the novelty golf ball is detected. The body of the novelty golf ball may be of unitary construction or comprised of two separate halves that may be removably attached to one another to allow a user to access the electrical components stored on the interior of the novelty golf ball.

ETHYLENE ACID COPOLYMERS, THEIR IONOMERS, AND THEIR USE IN PACKAGING FILMS AND INJECTION MOLDED ARTICLES
Provided are novel ethylene acid copolymers, their ionomers and their use in various articles, including packaging films and injection molded articles. The ethylene acid copolymers comprise copolymerized units of ethylene, about 10 to about 30 wt % of copolymerized units of a first α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms; and about 5 to about 15 wt % of copolymerized units of a derivative of a second α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 10 carbon atoms. Preferred derivatives include esters, and in particular alkyl esters. These ethylene acid copolymers and ionomers have improved optical properties when compared to conventional ethylene acrylic or methacrylic acid copolymers and their ionomers.
MEDIUM GRADIENT MULTI-PIECE URETHANE COVERED GOLF BALL
A golf ball includes a core having an outer surface and a geometric center; an inner cover layer, and an outer cover layer. The inner cover layer includes an ionomeric material and has a material hardness of about 60 Shore D or greater. The outer cover layer is formed from a polyurea or polyurethane and has a material hardness of about 60 Shore M or greater. The outer surface of the core has a hardness of about 68 to 92 Shore C. The geometric center of the core has a hardness of about 45 to 85 Shore C. GOLF BALL MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method of manufacturing golf balls having a core and a cover of at least one layer encasing the core includes the steps of producing a core by molding and vulcanizing a rubber composition containing (A) a base rubber, (B) an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, and (C) an organic peroxide; and heat-treating the core for 1 to 24 hours at between 175 and 300° C. Golf balls which undergo little energy loss and have a high initial velocity can be obtained by this method.
GOLF BALL
In a golf ball having a core and a cover of at least one layer, the core and/or at least one layer of the cover are formed of a resin composition that includes (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin, and (B) 1 to 30 parts by weight of a compound having a fluorene skeleton, or a derivative thereof. This resin composition for golf balls has an improved injection-moldability and thus enables the ball to achieve both a reduced spin rate and a good durability (scuff resistance).
