Electronic device for aligning a marked golf ball
A small electronic device used to perform alignment of a lined golf ball in preparation for putting. The device is battery powered and includes one or more motors for rotating the golf ball at a high speed. The device further includes one or more photonic line sensors disposed at the golf ball for identifying the line on the golf ball and for communicating with a microcontroller which coordinates the electric rotation motors to align the golf ball to the device. The electronic device also features a mechanical loading mechanism which holds the golf ball for rotation during the alignment process and releases the golf ball to the putting green without rotation when alignment is complete.
Systems and methods for storing and analyzing golf data, including community and individual golf data collection and storage at a central hub
Systems and methods are described for providing coaching, training, or equipment specification information to individual golfers based on data generated during their individual golf swings. Additionally, data hubs are described that provide information and services to individuals based on data collected for a community of multiple golfers. Such community data hub systems and methods may provide one or more of the following: (a) storage of scoring data, swing data, ball flight data, and/or equipment data for multiple golfers; (b) at least some level of individual access to the stored data for the community; and/or (c) electronic interaction between golfers within the community.
Liquid discharge head and liquid discharge apparatus provided with the same
A liquid discharge head includes: an individual channel having an inlet and an outlet, the individual channel including: a nozzle, an upstream-side pressure chamber arranged between the inlet and the nozzle, a downstream-side pressure chamber arranged between the outlet and the nozzle, an upstream-side throttle channel connecting the inlet and the upstream-side pressure chamber, and a downstream-side throttle channel connecting the outlet and the downstream-side pressure chamber; a supply channel connected to the inlet and configured to supply liquid to the individual channel; a recovery channel connected to the outlet and configured to recover the liquid from the individual channel; an upstream-side actuator configured to apply pressure to the liquid inside the upstream-side pressure chamber; and a downstream-side actuator configured to apply the pressure to the liquid inside the downstream-side pressure chamber. The channel resistance of the downstream-side throttle channel is smaller than that of the upstream-side throttle channel.
Bluetooth enabled ball analyzer and locator
A Bluetooth chip designed to track proximity and play a sound, along with an accelerometer, that is embedded inside of a golf ball is disclosed. The technology inside the balls allows it to be found quickly through proximity and sound, and the app gives a golfer helpful analytical data.
Carbon nanotube golf ball having improved hitting feel, durability, and antistatic property
Disclosed is a carbon nanotube golf ball having improved hitting feel and durability, and antistatic property comprising: a core having CNT/ionomer-dispersion; a cover formed on the core; and an antistatic finish on the top cover. Herein, CNT/ionomer-dispersions having a diameter of 10 to 3,000 m are produced in advance using an independent process, and then applied to the present art. The top cover is provided with antistatic finish using a CNT coating solution for keeping the clean surface during the golf play.
Systems and methods for tracking sports balls configured with electronic components
Systems and methods for tracking a sports ball assembly in real time during a sporting event are disclosed. A structure of the sports ball assembly is also disclosed. The sports ball assembly comprises at least one electronic circuit embedded or attached to a sports ball. The sports ball assembly is in network communication with a server processor via at least two receivers within a sports arena. The sports ball assembly generates and transmits UWB data packets comprising movement-related data for the sports ball assembly in real time at a predetermined rate. The at least two receivers receive the UWB data packets and transmit to the server processor with time stamps. The server processor is operable to determine a movement of the sports ball assembly based on the UWB data packets and the time stamps received from the at least two receivers.

Multi-layer golf ball
Multi-piece golf balls having a multi-layered solid core and multi-layered cover are provided.
GOLF BALL WITH SOFTER FEEL AND HIGHER IRON SPIN
A golf ball comprising: (a) a core; (b) at least one mantle layer adjacent to the core; (c) an inner cover layer adjacent to the mantle layer; and (d) an outer cover layer adjacent to the inner cover layer, wherein the inner cover layer has a material Shore D hardness that is at least 3 less than the material Shore D hardness of the outer cover layer, and the inner cover layer has a thickness of less than 0.050 in.
