Method of controlling launch of vehicle
A method of controlling launch of a vehicle, may include setting step in which a controller sets a basic target engine speed; a transient control step in which the controller controls a clutch torque based on the basic target engine speed; a transient state determining step in which the controller determines, whether a transition period of change of the engine speed elapsed; a first correction amount determination step in which the controller determines a correction amount; a correction applying step in which the controller adds the correction amount to the predetermined target engine speed and then determines a final target engine speed; an error determination step in which the controller determines the engine speed control error; and a feedback determination step in which the controller uses the engine speed control error and determines a feedback control amount for feedback-controlling a clutch actuator.
Methods and systems for a four wheel drive vehicle driveline
Systems and methods for improving operation of a hybrid vehicle are presented. In one example, driveline operation may be adjusted in response to operating the hybrid vehicle in a four wheel drivel low gear range. The approaches may improve vehicle drivability and reduce driveline degradation.
Method for turning off an internal combustion engine of a vehicle powertrain system and a vehicle powertrain system
A method for turning off an internal combustion engine (ICE) where a clutch arrangement has first and second clutches that respectively couple the ICE to first and second input shafts of a transmission. The input shafts are drivingly connected to first and second sets of gears, respectively. The sets of gears are connected to an output shaft of the transmission. The method includes: controlling the ICE in an idling state when the vehicle is in standstill, wherein the clutches are in open positions; engaging the first input shaft with a first pre-selected gear, and engaging the second input shaft with a second pre-selected gear; initiating an engine turning off command; stopping the ICE by at least partly closing the clutches for simultaneously introducing torque transfer to the clutches into a transmission tie-up state for a controlled engine stop, wherein engine inertia of the ICE is captured in the clutches.
Driveline disconnect clutch operating methods and system
Systems and methods for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle are presented. In one example, a boost phase of a procedure to close a driveline disconnect clutch may be cut short in response to an engine changing state from not rotating to rotating so that the engine may be restarted in an alternative way. The system and methods may also predict a degraded engine start from a low engine cranking speed or a long cranking time duration so that the engine may be started in an alternative way to increase a possibility of starting the engine and decrease the severity of degraded driveline disturbance.
VEHICLE DRIVE TRAIN OF A VEHICLE
The disclosure relates to a vehicle drive train of a vehicle comprising an engine which serves to drive at least one vehicle wheel, a multidisk brake assigned only to this driven vehicle wheel, and a clutch assigned only to this driven vehicle wheel, wherein the clutch is arranged between the engine and the vehicle wheel and, in the open state, decouples its associated vehicle wheel from the entire remaining vehicle drive train.
Control apparatus for vehicle
A vehicle control apparatus output a packing hydraulic-pressure command value and a cranking hydraulic-pressure command value higher than the packing hydraulic-pressure command value. The packing hydraulic-pressure command value is outputted to place a clutch in a pack-clearance-elimination completion state in a process of switching of the clutch from a released state to an engaged state. The cranking hydraulic-pressure command value is outputted, after elapse of a predetermined time required to place the clutch in the pack-clearance-elimination completion state, to cause the clutch to transmit a cranking torque required by a cranking by which a rotational speed of an engine is increased. In a case in which it is determined that a request to increase a vehicle power performance during output of the packing hydraulic-pressure command value, the cranking hydraulic-pressure command value is outputted in place of the packing hydraulic-pressure command value even before the elapse of the predetermined time.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE
A driver assistance device for a motor vehicle with a drive assembly, which can be connected to a drivetrain via a clutch that can be activated by an actuator. The clutch being a component of an electronically controlled clutch system, in which a clutch pedal sensor detects an actuation of a clutch pedal on the driver's side and in which an analysis unit determines, in a first control mode on the basis of the detected clutch pedal actuation, a clutch torque and actuates the clutch with a corresponding clutch signal. For an adjustment of the clutch response on the driver's side, the analysis unit is associated with an input unit, for the actuation of which, on the driver's side, it is possible to shift between the first control mode and at least one second control mode.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFTING
Methods and systems are provided for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle that includes an internal combustion engine, a rear drive unit electric machine, an integrated starter/generator, and a transmission are described. In one example, inertia torque compensation is provided to counter inertia torque during a power-on upshift.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFTING
Methods and systems are provided for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle that may include an internal combustion engine, a rear drive unit electric machine, an integrated starter/generator, and a transmission are described. In one example, torque capacity of an on-coming clutch is adjusted during an inertia phase of a power-on upshift to improve shift smoothness.
Method for non-microslip based dual clutch transmission power on up shift
A method of controlling a dual clutch transmission power on up shift including an on-coming clutch and an off-going clutch. The method includes implementing a prep phase comprised of decreasing torque on the off-going clutch, monitoring the off-going clutch speed to determine a slip point, and adding a bump torque to the off-going clutch when the off-going clutch reaches the slip point. The method implements a torque phase transferring torque from the off-going clutch to the on-coming clutch by increasing torque on the on-coming clutch towards an engine torque, decreasing torque on the off-going clutch, and simultaneously keeping the combination of torques greater than the slip point.
