Control system of hybrid vehicle
When a vehicle is in a traveling state having a low necessity to quickly increase required traveling torque, high-rotational-speed engine starting unit that reduces an emission amount of particulate matter emitted during engine starting starts the engine. Since quick torque response is not required when the vehicle is in the traveling state having the low necessity to quickly increase the required traveling torque, the high-rotational-speed engine starting unit starts the engine, so that increase of the emission amount of particulate matter emitted during engine starting can be curbed.
Electrified military vehicle
A military vehicle includes a chassis, a front end accessory drive (FEAD), and circuitry. The chassis includes an engine and an integrated motor generator (IMG). The FEAD includes multiple accessories and an electric motor-generator. The circuitry is configured to operate the military vehicle according to different modes. The circuitry is configured to receive a user input indicating a selected mode of the modes, and operate the chassis and the FEAD of the military vehicle according to the selected mode. The modes include an engine mode and an electric mode. In the engine mode, the engine drives the FEAD and the tractive elements of the military vehicle through the IMG for transportation. In the electric mode, the engine is shut off to reduce a sound output of the military vehicle and the IMG drives the tractive elements of the military vehicle for transportation and the electric motor-generator drives the FEAD.

A hybrid electric vehicle includes an engine equipped with a filter that removes particulate matter in an exhaust system, a motor for traveling, an electric power storage device that exchanges electric power with the motor, and a control device that controls the engine and the motor. The control device stops, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, rotation of the engine and inhibits, when a filter temperature as a temperature of the filter is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the rotation stop of the engine regardless of whether or not the predetermined condition is satisfied.

When an acceleration request is issued, an electronic control unit for a hybrid vehicle performs control for producing an acceleration feeling of setting a target engine rotation speed to an initial rotation speed (=basic initial value+initial value correction value) which is lower than an optimal-fuel-efficiency rotation speed at which required engine power is able to be most efficiently output and increasing the engine rotation speed from the initial rotation speed to the optimal-fuel-efficiency rotation speed at a rotation speed increase rate (=basic increase rate+increase rate correction value) based on the elapse of time. When the target supercharging pressure is high, the initial value correction value is set to a greater value and the increase rate correction value is set to a greater value than when the target supercharging pressure is low.
Hybrid electric vehicle and method of controlling the same to avoid collision thereof
A hybrid electric vehicle and a method of controlling the same are provided to avoid a collision thereof attributable to erroneous operation of an accelerator pedal. The method includes determining whether an accelerator pedal is erroneously operated in the situation in which an obstacle is detected to be present in the traveling path. In response to determining that the accelerator pedal is erroneously operated, the method includes switching the driving mode to a mode in which an engine is disconnected from a driving shaft and a motor generates driving force. The number of revolutions per minute (RPM) of the engine is then adjusted based on the extent to which the accelerator pedal is operated and the torque of the motor is adjusted based on a first vehicle speed and the distance to the obstacle.

Active purge system and purging method according to operating state of hybrid vehicle
An active purge system (APS) according to a driving state of a hybrid vehicle includes an active purge unit (APU) configured to pressurize a vaporized gas generated in a fuel tank of the hybrid vehicle and supply the pressurized vaporized gas to an intake pipe, and a control unit configured to control the APU, where the control unit gradually controls a processing amount of the vaporized gas according to the driving state of the hybrid vehicle. The processing amount of the vaporized gas is gradually controlled using the APS according to the driving state of the hybrid vehicle, particularly, a number of places at which slip occurs in a power transmission system of the hybrid vehicle so that degradation of driving ability due to the occurrence of slip is reduced.
