The second includes coupling the internal combustion engine with the AC electric machine for charging the electric battery. The third includes decoupling the AC electric machine from the internal combustion engine and connecting an AC winding to a heating resistance of a catalyst device for electrically heating the catalyst device. The fourth includes coupling the internal combustion engine with the AC electric machine to the heating resistance for electrically heating the catalyst device.
CONTROL DEVICE OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND CONTROL PROGRAM OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A control device can execute a first diagnosis process of, when first execution conditions are met, diagnosing whether an air-fuel ratio sensor has an abnormality while executing a motoring process, and a second diagnosis process of, when second execution conditions are met, diagnosing whether a GPF has an abnormality while executing the motoring process. In an execution determination process, the control device prohibits execution of both the first diagnosis process and the second diagnosis process when at least either the first execution conditions or the second execution conditions are not met, and permits execution of both the first diagnosis process and the second diagnosis process when both the first execution conditions and the second execution conditions are met.
Operating method for a driver assistance system and motor vehicle
An operating method for a driver assistance system, in particular a cruise control system of a motor vehicle. The operating method comprises determining at least one operationally relevant road property of a road on an impending route of the motor vehicle, wherein the operationally relevant road property affects operation of an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle. The operating method comprises determining a driving recommendation in accordance with the operationally relevant road property on the impending route of the motor vehicle. The operating method comprises setting the variable valve gear in accordance with the driving recommendation determined.
Method for operating a motor vehicle with hybrid drive, and motor vehicle with hybrid drive
Method for operating a motor vehicle with a hybrid drive, which includes an internal combustion engine connected to an exhaust system of the motor vehicle along with at least one traction electric motor, which is operated via an electric energy accumulator of the motor vehicle and can be coupled to the internal combustion engine, wherein the motor vehicle can be moved via the internal combustion engine and/or the traction electric motor, wherein when movement of the motor vehicle via the internal combustion engine is switched to movement of the motor vehicle solely via the traction electric motor, and the internal combustion engine is decoupled from the traction electric motor, operation of the internal combustion engine is continued, dependent upon at least one piece of exhaust system information describing a condition of the exhaust system.
A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE BRAKING OF A VEHICLE COMPRISING A DIESEL ENGINE
The invention relates to a method for controlling braking of a vehicle (1), comprising a diesel engine (100) and an exhaust after treatment (EAT) system (200) for treating exhaust from said diesel engine (100), a set of ground engaging members (300), and a transmission (400) between said set of ground engaging members (300) and said diesel engine (100). The method comprises: In response to a determined present engine speed being equal to or less than a current engine braking minimum limit speed: changing the gear ratio of said transmission (400) such that an updated engine speed is obtained, whereby a determined present engine speed is above said current engine braking minimum limit speed (S60), and -In response to the determined present engine speed being above said current engine braking minimum limit speed: engine braking so as to decrease said present engine speed (S70). The invention also relates to a computer program, a computer readable medium, a control unit, and a vehicle comprising a control unit.
Fast cold start heat up and energy efficiency for commercial vehicle powertrain
A transmission system constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes an aftertreatment system and a controller. The transmission system is selectively coupled to an engine crankshaft of an internal combustion engine arranged on a vehicle. The aftertreatment system reduces emissions in an exhaust of the internal combustion engine. The controller operates in an aftertreatment heat-up mode such that the aftertreatment system is heated up to an elevated temperature and emissions are thereby reduced based on the elevated temperature. The controller operates in the aftertreatment heat-up mode when the internal combustion engine is operating at or below a brake mean effective pressure between three and four bar. The aftertreatment heat-up mode comprises increasing load on the internal combustion engine.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
A control system for a hybrid vehicle that reduces a change in an engine torque when warming a catalyst. The hybrid vehicle comprises a catalyst that purifies exhaust gas, a first motor, a differential mechanism having a plurality of rotary elements, and an engagement device that selectively connects the first motor to an engine. A controller is configured to determine whether it is necessary to warm the catalyst, and disengage the engagement device while retarding an ignition timing of the engine when it is necessary to warm the purifying device.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a control device for a vehicle. The vehicle includes an engine as a drive source, a motor generator as a drive source, a battery for storing electric power generated by the motor generator using an output of the engine, and an exhaust treatment device provided in an exhaust passage of the engine. The control device is configured to execute a temperature rise control that increases the output of the engine and raises a temperature of exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust treatment device.
