ELECTRIC DRIVE SYSTEM AND METHOD
An electric drive system, method and apparatus includes a rechargeable energy storage unit, a power inverter, and a rotary electric machine. Transfer of electrical power between the rechargeable energy storage unit and the rotary electric machine is governed by a pulse width modulation (PWM) switching frequency, which is one of a non-six-step switching mode or a six-step switching mode. Executable instructions determine a rotational speed, a torque command, a torque direction, a bus voltage, and a hysteresis band, determine a modulation index command in response to the rotational speed, the torque command, the torque direction, and the bus voltage, and command operation of the rotary electric machine in one of the non-six-step switching mode or the six-step switching mode employing the modulation index command.
VEHICLE DRIVE DEVICE
A vehicle drive device includes a first drive unit that drives first wheels; a second drive unit that drives second wheels; and a control device. When the state of charge of an electrical storage device is less than a first threshold value and a vehicle speed is less than a second threshold value, the control device performs control such that when the vehicle speed is greater than or equal to zero and required drive power is greater than or equal to zero, the operating mode of the first drive unit is set to a second mode to output the required drive power from the second drive unit, and when the vehicle speed is greater than zero and the required drive power is less than zero, the operating mode of the first drive unit is set to a first mode so the first drive power source can generate electric power.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A TWO-WHEELER
A method for operating a two-wheeler. The two-wheeler includes a drive unit and a sensor system, the sensor system including a rotation rate sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a wheel speed sensor. The wheel speed sensor detects at least one measuring pulse per revolution of a wheel of the two-wheeler. The method includes: detecting three-dimensional rotation rates of the two-wheeler, detecting acceleration values of the two-wheeler, and estimating a motion state of the two-wheeler based on the detected rotation rates, the motion state including estimated values for estimated acceleration values and an estimated speed and an estimated distance covered, first correction of the estimated motion state based on the detected acceleration values, ascertaining an instantaneous steering angle of the two-wheeler based on the corrected estimated motion state, and actuating the drive unit and/or an antilocking system of the two-wheeler as a function of the ascertained instantaneous steering angle.
Vehicle control method and vehicle control device
In a vehicle control method, when drive force which a second electric motor is requested to output increases in a state where an internal combustion engine is stopped, drive force which the second electric motor outputs by using electric power supplied by a battery is limited to a lower level than maximum drive force determined from electric power which can be supplied by the battery to drive an electric-powered vehicle. Then, the drive force which the second electric motor outputs by using the electric power supplied by the battery is increased over time in a period from when the second electric motor outputs the drive force limited to the lower level to when the internal combustion engine is fired up and a first electric motor starts power generation.
Control system for hybrid vehicle
A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to reduce electricity consumption by a motor in a condition where a maximum output torque of an engine is restricted. A controller is configured to: calculate a current maximum torque of the engine when increasing a speed of the engine to achieve an acceleration demand; determine whether the current maximum torque of the engine is less than an inertia torque required to increase the speed of the engine; and adjust the reaction torque of the first motor to a value less than a predetermined value, if the current maximum torque of the engine is less than the inertia torque required to increase the speed of the engine.
Control device for vehicle
A control device, for a vehicle, comprising an electronic control unit configured to: output a first command value, for tightening a pack clearance, to a hydraulic control circuit system prior to output of a second command value, for transmitting cranking torque that raises a rotation speed of the engine, during a transition of switching a control state of a clutch from a released state to an engaged state when an engine is started; and perform, when the engine is started, first control for outputting the cranking torque by an electric motor and second control for starting operation of the engine, wherein the electronic control unit is configured to set the first command value to a first hydraulic pressure when the engine is started in a first situation, and set the first command value to a higher second hydraulic pressure higher when the engine is started in a second situation.
Efficient and robust methodology for traction control system
A vehicle includes a system and method of modeling and controlling a traction of a wheel of the vehicle. The system includes an observer, a predictive controller and an online solver. The observer receives a dynamic model parameter of the wheel and determines an estimate of a wheel velocity and an uncertainty in the wheel velocity using a non-linear model of the wheel. The predictive controller determines an average gain and differential gain from the estimate of the wheel velocity and the uncertainty in the wheel velocity. The online solver calculates a motor torque and a wheel brake torque for increasing the traction of the wheel with a road based on the average gain and the differential gain. The motor torque and the wheel brake torque are applied at the vehicle.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating a dual clutch transmission of a motor vehicle having a first partial transmission, a second partial transmission, and a transmission output shaft common to the partial transmissions and drivable both by the first partial transmission and by the second partial transmission, in which the dual clutch transmission is in a parking lock state in which two gears of one of the partial transmissions are engaged simultaneously. The following steps are carried out to exit the parking lock state: Introducing a torque caused by a drive element of the motor vehicle via the transmission output shaft common to the one partial transmissions into the one and/or other partial transmission while the gears of the partial transmission are engaged; and disengaging at least one of the gears of the one partial transmission engaged simultaneously in step a).
Vehicle control device and vehicle
A vehicle control device includes a control unit. In a state where a first electric motor generates electricity by rotating an internal combustion engine and a target driving force is decided based on an operation for an accelerator pedal, the control unit performs a first driving control in which driving of a vehicle by a first driving force, which is a driving force of a first driving device including the internal combustion engine and the first electric motor, is prioritized. In a state where the first electric motor generates electricity by rotating the internal combustion engine and the target driving force is decided without being based on the operation for the accelerator pedal, the control unit performs a second driving control in which driving of the vehicle by a second driving force, which is a driving force of a second driving device including a second electric motor, is prioritized.
Motor driving control method and system
A motor driving control method for controlling a motor speed so that a speed measured value of a motor follows a speed command value is provided. The method includes driving the motor by repeating an on section where a torque is generated in the motor and an off section where a torque is not generated in the motor at a regular period, based on the speed command value, wherein the driving includes applying a phase voltage to only one of multiple phases of the motor in the on section by a pulse width modulation scheme.
