Pitch training device
A pitch training device used to improve the throwing technique of balls used in sports. The device includes a core and a substantially disk-shaped body that provides immediate visual feedback as to whether the device was properly thrown. The core exhibits a density greater than the density of the body, thereby mimicking the moment of inertia of many sports balls. This, in turn, allows the user of the device to improve the training techniques used to increase spin efficiency of a ball while also helping train and improve other throwing techniques.

Systems and methods utilizing a ball including one or more sensors to improve pitching performance
A ball, and in particular a baseball or softball, including one or more sensors such as accelerometers and/or inertial measurement units, and systems and methods using the same to improve a pitcher's pitching performance are described herein. In some embodiments, the ball may include one or more inertial measurement units and/or accelerometers capable of monitoring motion of the ball while it is thrown. Once a ball is thrown, in response to the inertial measurement unit(s) and/or accelerometer(s), one or more indicators may be caused to perform an action. For example, one or more user interfaces may be used to display graphs for illustrating a trajectory of a ball after it has been thrown. Various statistics, such as velocity, a change in vertical displacement, a change in horizontal displacement, and a spin rate may also be indicated on the user interface.
GOLF BALL
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having improved ball speed or aerodynamic performance on a rainy day or the like by controlling the formulation of the paint film. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein a paint film surface of the golf ball has a water contact angle A1 of 70 or more and a water sliding angle B1 of less than 50. The present invention also provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein when a sheet consisting of a slab formed from a composition constituting a golf ball body surface and a coating film formed by applying a paint constituting the paint film on the slab is prepared, a coating film surface of the sheet has a water contact angle A2 of 90 or more and a water sliding angle B2 of less than 52.
Polyurethane-ionomer hybrid resin composition for golf ball cover and golf ball including cover formed using the same
A polyurethane-ionomer hybrid resin composition for a golf ball cover having excellent elastic reaction force and backspin performance comprises 100 parts by weight of a modified ionomer having a number average molecular weight in a range of 1,000 to 2,400, provided as a reaction product generated by a reaction among a polyol including hydroxyl groups on opposing ends of the polyol, a monomer of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid having 2 to 3 functional groups, and zirconia, and modified in such a manner that a polyester oligomer in a zirconia complex state and a zirconia filled state is added to an ionomer resin to be reacted, and a portion of unsaturated carboxylic acid of an ionomer is neutralized to be zirconium and additionally polymerized to be the polyester oligomer; 20 to 40 parts by weight of a block polyurethane prepolymer with respect to 100 parts by weight of the modified ionomer; 70 to 100 parts by weight of the ionomer with respect to 100 parts by weight of the modified ionomer; and 1 to 10 parts by weight of a chain extender with respect to 100 parts by weight of the block polyurethane prepolymer.
Golf ball
A golf ball 2 includes a main body 4 and a paint layer 6 positioned outside the main body 4. The paint layer 6 includes an inner layer 14 and an outer layer 16 positioned outside the inner layer 14. When an indentation depth (nm) is measured on a cross-section along a plane passing through a central point of the golf ball 2 when a force of 30 mgf is applied to the cross-section in a direction perpendicular to the cross-section, an indentation depth Di on a cross-section of the inner layer 14 is smaller than an indentation depth Do on a cross-section of the outer layer 16. A thickness To of the outer layer 16 is smaller than a thickness Ti of the inner layer 14.
Sports training ball with enhanced gripping surface
A sports ball, such as a lacrosse ball, comprising, an outer shell layer defining an enclosure having an interior volume for housing a filler material, the outer shell layer comprising a plurality of sections (pads or panels) connected along a plurality of seams, the sections having an outer surface comprising one or more layers of a substantially smooth non-woven synthetic leather, such as a synthetic suede, microfiber, or micro-velour, with an optional surface coating, which produce a frictional resistance (coefficient of friction) which decreases ball slippage against a surface or when released from the strings of a lacrosse stick.
