SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC BICYCLES
A speed control system for electric bicycles includes a bicycle having pedals, a motor and a battery which provides electric power to the motor. The bicycle includes a speed detector to detect speed of the bicycle to create a current speed value. A controller is electrically connected to the motor, the battery and the speed detector. The controller has a preset constant-speed setting value. The controller receives the current speed value from the speed detector, and compares the current speed value with the preset constant-speed setting value to adjust output or the motor and the battery. The controller changes the output of the motor and the battery according to the current speed so that the motor assists the rider to operate the bicycle instantly.

ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEM
Provided is an electric brake system that changes responsiveness depending on responsiveness required for an electric brake device, thereby enabling operation sound and power consumption to be reduced without influencing movement of a vehicle. The electric brake system includes one or more electric brake device (3) each having a control operation module (12) for performing follow-up control for a target braking force. The electric brake system includes a response requirement determination module (14) for determining responsiveness required for the brake actuator (4) from one or both of a braking requirement and the vehicle travelling condition. The braking requirement is outputted from a brake operation member or a vehicle-stable-travelling control system. The electric brake system includes a control modification module (15) for changing a control operation formula to be used for follow-up control by the module (12), depending on responsiveness determined by the module (14).
CONTROL DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Greater one of a secondary pressure comparison reference value (Psec_b) and a primary pressure comparison reference value (Ppri_b) is set as a line pressure target value (Plin_tg). At a vehicle constant speed travel control, a value obtained by adding a first offset amount () to the secondary pressure target value (Psec_tg) is the secondary pressure comparison reference value (Psec_b) and a value obtained by adding a second offset amount () to the primary pressure target value (Ppri_tg) is the primary pressure comparison reference value (Ppri_b). By setting a line pressure in this manner, an occurrence of fluctuation of an engine speed at during executing the vehicle constant speed travel control is suppressed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MINIMIZING SHIFT CYCLING FOR ENGINE OPERATION USING CRUISE CONTROL
A system and method for minimizing shift cycling for low speed engine operation with a vehicle cruise control. A vehicle control system operating in a cruise control mode determines a deficiency in vehicle speed between a measured vehicle speed and a cruise set speed. The deficiency is determined by comparing the vehicle speed to the cruise set speed, and includes using the compared value to find a cruise speed margin, which is continuously updated. While the cruise control system is active, the control system logic determines the time at which a transmission upshift occurs based on the cruise speed margin. The vehicle speed, at which the upshift is made, is determined as a function of the updated cruise speed margin. An upshift is not made, if a likely drop in vehicle speed would result in the event a downshift would occur once the upshift is made.
EFFICIENT CONTROL OF FUEL CONSUMPTION IN CARS
A system that includes an accelerometer configured to measure acceleration of a vehicle, a gyroscope configured to measure orientation of the vehicle, a memory having computer readable instructions, and a processor for executing the computer readable instructions. The computer readable instructions include performing at intervals: receiving acceleration data from the accelerometer; receiving orientation data from the gyroscope; combining the acceleration data and the orientation data to generate speed fluctuation and slope data for the vehicle; and transmitting the fluctuation and slope data to a controller of the vehicle. The controller utilizes the speed fluctuation and slope data to modulate an engine throttle of the vehicle.
