Hybrid vehicle
A hybrid vehicle with an engine and a rotary machine each coupled to a drive wheel in a power transmittable manner, comprises: an electronic control device that makes the rotary machine output a starting-time compensation torque to compensate a drop in a drive torque caused in a starting process of the engine in addition to a running torque when the engine is started while the vehicle is in a running state in which the drive torque is generated by the rotary machine and the engine is in a stopped state. The electronic control device starts the engine such that a starting-time inertia torque that is generated according to starting of the engine and causes the drop in the drive torque is made smaller when a torque margin of the rotary machine which is applied to the starting-time compensation torque is relatively small than when the torque margin is relatively large.
Methods and system for starting an engine
Systems and methods for starting an engine that is incorporated into a hybrid vehicle driveline are described. In one example, a torque converter clutch is fully opened if a threshold amount has transpired after a request for torque converter clutch slip is requested but not delivered. Further, the torque converter clutch may be fully opened if a commanded torque converter clutch torque capacity is less than a threshold torque capacity.
Systems and methods for controlling stop/start events for a hybrid electric vehicle
Methods and systems are provided for controlling engine operation in a hybrid electric vehicle equipped with stop/start capabilities under conditions where requested power or torque is in a hysteresis region between an engine pull up threshold and an engine pull down threshold. In one example, a method comprises obtaining an adjusted engine pull down threshold upon the requested power or torque remaining in the hysteresis region for more than a threshold duration, and commanding the engine deactivated in response to the adjusted engine pull down threshold being equivalent to the requested power or torque. In this way, a motor/generator may be used to meet the requested torque response rather than the engine under such conditions, which may improve fuel economy.
HOME POSITION ESTIMATION SYSTEM AND HOME POSITION ESTIMATION METHOD
The home position estimation system includes a GNSS receiver, an object detection device for detecting an object in surroundings of the hybrid vehicle, an identifying part configured to identify the object detected by the object detection device, and a position estimating part configured to estimate a position of the hybrid vehicle based on an output of the GNSS receiver. If a predetermined condition is satisfied and the object identified by the identifying part is an object indicating a boundary of a low emission zone which requires that the internal combustion engine be stopped, the position estimating part is configured to judge whether the hybrid vehicle is located within the low emission zone, regardless of the output of the GNSS receiver, based on a result of identification by the identifying part.
Vehicle system
A vehicle system includes an internal combustion engine including a fuel injection valve configured to inject fuel into an intake port and a throttle valve configured to control intake air amount for controlling engine torque, and being mounted on a vehicle. The vehicle system further includes a control device configured to control the vehicle. The control device includes a fuel increment controlling component that executes a fuel increment control to make the air-fuel ratio richer than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio in a plurality of cycles started from a fuel injection start cycle at the time of engine start-up. Where a torque rate correlation value correlated with a torque rate that is a time rate of increase of the engine torque is lower, the fuel increment controlling component decreases a total fuel injection amount in the plurality of cycles.
Method for operating a hybrid drive apparatus for a motor vehicle as well as a corresponding hybrid drive apparatus
A method for operating a hybrid drive apparatus for a motor vehicle, having an exhaust-gas-producing internal combustion engine and an electric motor. The internal combustion engine and the electric motor, respectively alone or at least sometimes jointly, provide a drive torque, wherein, when a start threshold value is exceeded by a demand variable. The internal combustion engine is started and the drive torque is at least partially generated by the internal combustion engine, and, when a stop threshold value is not met by the demand variable, the internal combustion engine is stopped and the drive torque is generated solely by means of the electric motor.
Control apparatus for vehicle
A control apparatus for a vehicle controls the supply of electric power from a battery to first and/or second heat generating element(s), before starting of the internal combustion engine. When a suppliable amount of electric power is equal to or less than a first amount of electric power, the control apparatus controls the supply of electric power so that a whole amount of electric power within the suppliable amount of electric power is supplied to the second heat generating element, whereas when the suppliable amount of electric power is larger than the first amount of electric power but is equal to or less than a second amount of electric power, the control apparatus controls the supply of electric power so that the whole amount of electric power within the suppliable amount of electric power is supplied to the first heat generating element.
HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROLLER
A hybrid vehicle controller is configured to: upon receiving a predetermined mode switching request, bring a clutch into a half-clutch state to start an engine using rotation of a transmission shaft; and upon determining that the engine has started, shift the clutch from the half-clutch state to a stand-by state and subsequently shift the clutch to an engaged state, the stand-by state being a state which is intermediate between the half-clutch state and a disengaged state and in which drive power of the engine is not transmitted to the transmission shaft.
Start control device, start control method, and vehicle
A start control device is a start control device that controls start of a vehicle including a clutch that is engaged by the hydraulic pressure supplied from a hydraulic pressure supply source and a start device that starts a vehicle driving source, and includes: a hydraulic pressure control unit that controls so that the hydraulic pressure supply source supplies the hydraulic pressure to the clutch if a start condition for the vehicle is satisfied; and a start device control unit that controls the start device so that the rotation speed of the vehicle driving source reaches the predetermined rotation speed after the clutch is engaged.
Electric Device Control Method and Electric Device
In an electric device control method and an electric device of the present invention, during a period in which a rotational speed of an internal combustion engine shifting from a non-combustion mode to a combustion mode is decreased to a rotational speed within a predetermined rotational-speed range by a first electric motor connected to the internal combustion engine, a torque generated by the internal combustion engine is set lower than a required torque within the predetermined rotational-speed range for the internal combustion engine in the combustion mode.
