Locking Release Lever for Securing a Bicycle on a Bicycle Rack
A locking release lever for engaging or disengaging a bicycle rack ratcheting mechanism. The ratcheting mechanism for securing a bicycle on a bike rack when engaged and for freeing the bicycle when disengaged. A locking release lever includes (1) an anchor fixedly secured to the ratcheting mechanism (2) a swing lever with first and second ends, the first end connected or integral with the anchor, the swing lever for swinging between a first position for engaging the ratcheting mechanism and a second position for disengaging the ratcheting mechanism, and (3) a lock connected or integral with the second end of the swing lever, the lock including a bolt for being engaged when the swing lever is in the first position, the engaged bolt extending from the lock and preventing the swing lever from disengaging the ratcheting mechanism.
Automotive vision system
The present invention relates to an automotive vision system, in particular for providing rear and/or side view, comprising; an image capturing device, and an optical filter device included in an optical path to the image capturing device, wherein the optical filter device comprises an optical filter medium that is moveable by a driving device with respect to the optical path in order to adjust filter characteristics,
wherein the driving device comprises a cam transmission that imposes a reciprocating movement on the optical filter medium over an adjustment range between two extreme positions and wherein the cam transmission has a stop arrangement defining an operative position of the optical filter medium with respect to the optical path, wherein the operative position is within the adjustment range and the operative position is in the vicinity of any of the two extreme position.
Composite running board
A composite running board for use with an automotive vehicle. The running board includes a step portion formed by a top deck and an aerodynamic bottom cover. A mounting portion is formed integrally with the step portion and includes a vertical mounting plate and a horizontal mounting plate for attaching the running board to the vehicle. A plurality of support ribs are sandwiched between the top deck and the bottom cover and connected to the mounting portion to provide structural rigidity to the running board.
ACCESSORY PLATE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND METHODS OF CONVERTING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE VEHICLE INTO AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A system for converting an internal combustion engine vehicle having an arrangement of vehicle accessories into an electric vehicle. The system includes an accessory plate having a series of openings for coupling the vehicle accessories to the accessory plate. The openings are arranged corresponding to the arrangement of the vehicle accessories in the internal combustion engine vehicle such that the vehicle accessories are supported in the same configuration in the electric vehicle as in the internal combustion engine vehicle.
A FUEL TO ELECTRIC REUSABLE CONVERSION KIT AND A METHOD OF CONVERTING AND REUSING THE CONVERSION KIT
Suitable for frame vehicles, the kit provides a frame to be mounted on the chassis with attachment devices at a head section and at a middle section of the frame that supports an electric motor, a transmission and at least one battery system. Replacement of the conventional engine and transmission by the frame-mounted unit can be fast. The frame can be attached at the middle section using shear bolts to avoid impeding a crumple of the chassis during a front impact.
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC HYBRID SYSTEM
An electro-hydraulic hybrid system for a vehicle utilizes both the advantages of the hydraulic hybrid system and the electric hybrid system to maximize the collection of energy lost during a braking process and to provide launch assists in an acceleration process. The electro-hydraulic hybrid system includes an ECU that controls the electro-hydraulic hybrid system, a hydraulic drive pump, an accumulator, a hydraulic reservoir, a hydraulic pump, an electric motor, a power converter, and a battery. The hydraulic reservoir is in fluid communication with the accumulator through the hydraulic drive pump that functions as the main component of the hydraulic regenerative braking system. The hydraulic reservoir is also in fluid communication with the accumulator through the hydraulic pump that acts as the main component of the electro-hydraulic inter-conversion unit along with the electric motor, the at least one battery, and power converter that are electrically connected to each other.
CONTROL SYSTEM, RELAY DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD
A control system 9 according to the present invention is mounted on a moving object. The control system 9 includes: an observing device 92 which transmits observation result data indicating an observation result of surroundings of the moving object; a first control instruction device 91 which transmits first control data indicating the control contents determined based on the observation result data; a movement control device 93 which controls movement of the moving object; and a relay device 95 which relays the first control data transmitted from the first control instruction device 91, to the movement control device 93. When a second control instruction device 94 which transmits second control data indicating the control contents determined based on the observation result data is provided to the control system 9, the relay device 95 transmits the second control data instead of the first control data, to the movement control device 93.
Electric hybrid drive for retrofitting to internal combustion vehicles
The subject invention is directed to a class of electric hybrid drives that can be retrofit easily to cars and trucks to reduce transportation costs. Certain embodiments include mechanisms for attachment to an existing powertrain, regenerative braking, on-the-road optimization of transportation costs depending on road and route conditions, or an operational mode in which motive power for a vehicle is solely derived from electric energy stored in a battery.
