Tossing balls
Tossing balls having a resilient skeletal body formed from a plurality of interconnected resilient ribs and defining an open internal volume and a plurality of passages between adjacent resilient ribs. The passages extend from an outwardly facing body portion of the body to the internal volume. The tossing balls may include an array of force-absorbing resilient fingers extending from the plurality of interconnected resilient ribs. The resilient fingers extend at least one of away from and toward the open internal volume. The tossing balls may have a nominal configuration in which the array of force-absorbing resilient fingers extends away from the open internal volume and is configured to cushion impact between the tossing ball and an external object. The tossing balls may include an everted configuration in which the resilient fingers that extended away from the open internal volume in the nominal configuration extend into the open internal volume.
Elongated hand thrown projectile
An elongated hand thrown projectile comprises a projectile body having a forward end and a rearward end with a projectile axis extending between the forward end and the rearward end. A finger grip having a longitudinal grip axis is attached to the projectile body. In an exemplary embodiment, a thumb grip comprising a planar portion is attached to the projectile body at a position longitudinally between the projectile forward end and the finger grip. The thumb grip and the finger grip are separated by a distance such that the thumb and finger of a single hand can simultaneously grip the thumb grip and finger grip. The elongated hand thrown projectile assists a pitcher in learning to throw with a linear, single-plane motion.
Synthetic fiber ball
A synthetic fiber ball and method of manufacturing the same is disclosed. The fiber ball includes a plurality of fibers having a predetermined length bound together with a fastening fiber at a central core. The plurality of fibers extend outwardly from the fastening fiber at the central core to form a generally spherical shaped ball. The plurality of fibers are heat shrunk in a spinning oven from a generally cylindrical shaped fiber bundle having a predetermined diameter to form the fiber ball.
Slingshot football
A launching and/or catching toy kit has a football and at least one associated slingshot. The football includes a generally elongated spheroidal body, a support non-movably attached to the body, a tail, a first and a second elastic band hook oppositely disposed, and a lift-generating wing. The slingshot is configured to launch the football from a first user to a second user. The slingshot includes a handle and a pair of prongs connected and/or extending from the handle top. At least one elastic band is connected to each prong. Each of the at least one elastic bands are releasably captured by their respective first or second elastic band hook on the football during launching by the first user. When two slingshots are available, the users can shoot and catch the football between each other allowing for a game of catch.
Spiked ball
A spiked ball includes an inflatable ball having an outer surface and a series of protrusions on the outer surface. The protrusion each appear as a tear-dropped shape mass that includes a base having a relatively flat bottom adhered to the outer surface and a narrow tip extending away from the outer surface. The narrow tip may also appear as a curved tale. The spikes provide a unique tactile feel and a surface for gripping that is different than other balls. The spikes also cause the ball to contact or grab the ground to create a unique bounce.
Tactile biofeedback reference attachment
A tactile reference attachment for providing a user with tactile biofeedback. The attachment includes a tactile reference feature that extends longitudinally along an exterior body surface and is formed with dimensions specifically tailored to harness the user's natural attributes of sensibility, proprioception, and neuromuscular memory to improve a user's performance.
Lightweight Inflatable Device For Play or Training
A device has a lightweight inner bladder and an outer layer that covers the inner bladder. The inner bladder bunches up, crunches, becomes pleated, folded or the like against the inner surface of the outer layer. The bunched up surface of the inner bladder may be flattened and/or reconfigured upon impact, thereby absorbing energy. The bunched up inner bladder may create an uneven surface on the outer layer thereby altering the manner through which the device travels through the air. The device may be configured for any of a variety of sports or games such as, for example, a simulated soccer ball, football, rugby ball, baseball and/or softball, a tennis ball, a beachball or other oversized ball, a golf ball, a flying disc, a weighted punching bag, or any of a wide variety of devices for play and/or training.
Game kit and assembly
A game kit, including a generally rectangular box portion defining a recess, the box portion further including a case portion and a cover portion hingedly connected thereto, a generally flat support member hingedly connected to the case portion, a lockable armature assembly operationally connected to the generally flat support member and to the case portion, a first pipe operationally connected to the cover portion, a pair of ancillary pipes connected to the cover portion, wherein each respective ancillary pipe is positioned opposite the first pipe from the other respective ancillary pipe and wherein each ancillary pipe is equidistant from the first pipe, and a plurality of bean bags. The cover portion is pivotably connected to the case portion and pivotable between a closed position parallel to and engaging the case portion and an open position parallel to and extending away from the case portion. The case portion placed on a generally flat surface, pivoting the first cover portion away from the case portion and into a generally vertical orientation and pivoting the support member away from the case portion and locking the armature assembly deploys the first and ancillary pipes in a generally vertical orientation for receiving tossed bags.
IMPACT RESISTANT BALL
An impact resistant ball and process of forming an impact resistant ball are provided. The impact resistant ball has an increased resistance to damage caused to a ball by repeated impact with objects such as a game board and game pins thereby decreasing the frequency with which the ball must be replaced. The impact resistant ball also has utility to afford a larger segment of the population the ability to properly grip and throw the impact resistant ball by providing an increased length gripper able to accommodate a greater range of hand sizes. In impact resistant ball has further utility to automatically identify and transmit data including the impact of the ball with the game pins and ball metrics including speed, pressure and weight.
