INSECT-LARVAE BREEDING APPARATUS HAVING AN ACTIVITY-SENSOR DEVICE
A rearing device for black soldier fly larvae includes a first insect fattening container that accommodates a first insect larvae cohort for fattening, an activity sensor device, and a processing unit. The activity sensor device detects a humidity measurement value at an insect fattening container humidity measurement point and provides the value to the processing unit. The insect fattening container humidity measurement point is in a central section of the insect fattening container. The activity sensor device also detects a temperature measurement value at an insect fattening container temperature measurement point and provides the value to the processing unit. The insect fattening container temperature measurement point is in the central portion of the first insect fattening container. The processing unit is designed to process the measured humidity value and the measured temperature value and to determine the activity of the black soldier fly larvae based on the processing.
INSECT FARMING WITH PRE-DOSED UNITS
A dosing device, arrangement and method for insect farming. The dosing device includes a storage unit designed to store a package containing a predetermined quantity of insects; a package containing insects stored in the storage unit; and a robot, which is arranged in a region of the at least one storage unit and at least one container, which is provided with a container substrate, is configured to remove the package containing the insects from the storage unit and to move the package with the insects to the container. The robot unit is further configured to directly or indirectly deposit the insects from the package into the container substrate.
PACKAGE FOR PRE-DOSED UNITS FOR INSECT FARMING
A package, method and arrangement for insect farming. The package is filled with a predetermined quantity of insects, and includes a package body; and a package closure configured to close the package body to prevent the insects from escaping from the package. The closed package body is configured to open at least partially under at least one of: at least one predetermined environmental condition, or in an event of consumption by the insects in the package body in order to release the insects.
FLY CAGE MODULE WITH CONVEYOR BELT
An apparatus, arrangement and method for producing insect eggs. The apparatus includes a container to accommodate insects in a container interior and prevent the insects from escaping; at least one egg-laying apparatus is arranged in the container and is configured to accommodate insect eggs laid in the container by the insects in the container; and at least one attractant arranged in an area of the at least one egg-laying apparatus that emits stimulants to lure the insects to the at least one egg-laying apparatus to lay the insect eggs. The at least one egg-laying apparatus is at least partially removable from the container, the at least one attractant is spatially separated from the at least one egg-laying apparatus and is separated from the container interior, and wherein the stimulants emitted by the attractant pass through the at least one egg-laying apparatus into the container interior.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BREEDING AND HARVESTING INSECTS
In an aspect, a system for breeding and harvesting insects is provided and includes an egg-producing chamber structure configured to receive insect pupae for pupation and to permit emerged adult insects to mate and oviposit insect eggs, at least one oviposition region in the egg-producing chamber structure configured to receive the insect eggs and apertured to permit at least one of the insect eggs and neonates of the insect eggs to pass therethrough, at least one larvae-growth chamber in communication with the at least one oviposition region so as to be configured to receive the at least one of the insect eggs and neonates of the insect eggs, wherein the larvae-growth chamber is further configured to permit the at least one of the insect eggs and neonates of the insect eggs to transition into larvae and to hold feed material for the larvae, a harvesting receptacle positioned to hold larvae, and an inclined surface positioned to receive larvae from the at least one larvae-growth chamber, and to provide a passageway for the larvae to travel to the harvesting receptacle.
SYSTEM AND METHODOLOGY FOR CULTURING COCHINEAL INSECTS ON AN ARTIFICIAL MEDIUM
A method is provided for culturing cochineal insects. In accordance with the method, a medium is created (101-109) from a mixture comprising a plant or cactus additive and a polymeric material. The medium is then inoculated (111) with a species selected from the group consisting of the genus Dactylopius.
N-way redundant air-powered aquaponics system
A fully air-powered, n-way redundant aquaponic system for integrated cultivation of various fish, plant, and mushroom species, off-grid, with each grow bed including a respective DC air pump, solar panel, and battery to ensure self-sufficiency, redundancy, and enhanced resilience. Each mushroom grow bed also includes an evaporative cooling system for year-round mushroom production.
