Compositions and methods for inhibiting biofilm deposition and production
The invention provides a method for combating biofilm, said method comprising contacting a biofilm with a composition comprising an effective amount of antimicrobial peptide biofilm enzyme combinations, preferably in the form of a fusion protein. The biofilm may be on an animate or inanimate surface and both medical and non-medical uses and methods are provided. In one aspect the invention provides a composition for use in the treatment or prevention of a biofilm in a subject, particularly in the oral cavity.
CHEWING GUM INCLUDING NANOZOME ENCAPSULATED CANNABIDIOL
Chewing gum including a liquid center, a chewy layer surrounding the liquid center, and a coating surrounding the chewy layer. The liquid center includes a nanozome encapsulated dose of a cannabinoid such as cannabidiol of approximately 1-30 mg. The nanozome is preferably a phospholipid such as a Phosphatidyl Choline. In another embodiment the nanozome is unsaturated Phosphatidyl Choline to improve bioavailability of the cannabidiol, or other cannabinoid.

In other embodiments, materials and methods of treating certain psychological disorders are disclosed involving satiation gut peptides. In exemplary embodiments, the satiation gut peptide pertains to PYY.
Probiotics for altering the composition of oral biofilms
The present invention relates to a certain microorganism for altering the composition of oral biofilms, in particular for use in the treatment and/or prevention of dental caries and/or periodontal disease. In particular, the present invention relates to a microorganism for use as a probiotic agent for altering the bacterial composition of oral biofilms derived from saliva, preferably for reducing the proportions of Gram-negative anaerobic genera and/or increasing the proportions of aerobic or facultatively anaerobic genera. Furthermore, the present invention provides oral pharmaceutical compositions, oral care products or products for nutrition or pleasure comprising the microorganism as probiotic agents as well as a method of production thereof.
ANTIBACTERIAL PRO-COAGULANT FORMULA
The disclosed invention provides an antibacterial pro-coagulant formula for assisting in combating the condition of bleeding gums caused by periodontal disease and gingivitis that enhances the natural healing process by assisting in the of cessation of bleeding by providing an “anti-bacterial oral healing environment” accompanied by enhanced blood flow to the affected bleeding area for more rapid blood clotting and increased blood flow to the affected area to assist the body's natural process of rebuilding healthy gum-tissue. Further described is a method of promoting hair follicle growth by application of the presented invention to a human scalp to promote blood flow to the scalp through below skin surface blood vessel dilation and below surface anti-bacterial cleansing of the scalp effecting an unrestricted and healthy skin tissue environment conducive to promoting hair follicle re-growth.
Pharmaceutical formulations containing cannabidiol and nicotine for treating smokeless tobacco addiction
In one aspect, a method of treating smokeless tobacco addiction comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising nicotine, a therapeutically effective amount of cannabidiol, and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle therefor. In some aspects, the composition is administered transmucosally, such as in an oral dosage form or nasal spray. In other aspects, the composition is administered transdermally. In another aspect, a chewable gum contains nicotine in at least a base portion and cannabidiol in at least an outer portion thereof.
Chewing gum with improved delivery of cannabinoids
A chewing gum for mucosal delivery of cannabinoids, the chewing gum being formulated as an extruded chewing gum including water-soluble chewing gum ingredients mixed into water-insoluble gum base, wherein the chewing gum has one or more cannabinoids, and wherein the chewing gum generates saliva and delivers at least 10% by weight of the one or more cannabinoids to the oral mucosa during the first 5 minutes of chewing.

The invention provides a probiotic formulation that includes an LDH-deficient mutans streptococcus strain and an attenuated S. oralis strain. S. uberis strains can be included in the probiotic formulation. Such a probiotic formulation is suitable for transiently colonizing the oral cavity with beneficial bacteria.

A composition comprising a combination of N-Phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester and cannabidiol for oral administration to humans and other animals and a method for administering said composition are described.
