Method and system for providing feedback data useful in prosthodontic procedures associated with the intra oral cavity
Feedback data useful in prosthodontic procedures associated with the intra oral cavity is provided. First, a 3D numerical model of the target zone in the intra oral cavity is provided, and this is manipulated so as to extract particular data that may be useful in a particular procedure, for example data relating to the finish line or to the shape and size of a preparation. The relationship between this data and the procedure is then determined, for example the clearance between the preparation and the intended crown. Feedback data, indicative of this relationship, is then generated, for example whether the preparation geometry is adequate for the particular type of prosthesis.
DENTAL ARTICLES AND METHODS OF USING SAME
Dental articles and methods of using same. The dental article (510) includes a shell defining a volume, the shell (512) comprising a circumferential base (514) and an incisal/occlusal region (516) distal from the circumferential base. The dental article (510) further includes a hardenable dental composition (518) located within the volume, and an isolation film (520) located at the circumferential base of the shell.
KIT OF PARTS CONTAINING DENTAL MILL BLANK COLOURING SOLUTION
The present invention relates to a kit of parts comprising a dental mill blank comprising a porous zirconia material and a colouring solution for colouring the porous zirconia material. The porous zirconia material comprises Zr oxide calculated as ZrO2: from 80 to 97 wt.-%, Al oxide calculated as Al2O3: from 0 to 0.15 wt.-%, Y oxide calculated as Y2O3: from 1 to 10 wt.-%, Bi oxide calculated as Bi2O3: from 0.01 to 0.2 wt.-%, the porous zirconia material not comprising Fe calculated as Fe2O3 in an amount of more than 0.01 wt.-%, wt.-% with respect to the weight of the porous zirconia material. The colouring solution comprises solvent(s), colouring agent(s) comprising metal ions selected from Tb, Er, Pr, Mn or combinations thereof, the solution not comprising Fe ions in an amount of more than 0.01 wt.-%, the solution not comprising Bi ions in an amount of more than 0.01 wt.-%, wt.-% with respect to the weight of the colouring solution. The invention also relates to a process of producing a dental restoration, the process comprising the steps: providing a dental mill blank comprising a porous zirconia material as described in any of the preceding claims, machining an article out of the porous zirconia material, the article having the shape of a dental restoration with an outer and inner surface, providing a colouring solution as described in any of the preceding claims, applying the colouring solution to at least portions of the surface of the article having the shape of a dental restoration.
Method of Making a Denture With Nature Bite and Wear Properties and Denture
The present invention to a method of denture manufacture that incorporates CAM-formed occlusal inserts, crowns, or overlays made of zirconia, resulting in a natural fit, feel, and wear essentially equivalent to the wear properties of natural teeth.
System and process for duplication of dentures
Systems and processes for the duplication of dentures from existing dentures. The interior and exterior of the dentures are scanned and a best fit procedure is used to create a fully digitized denture. The denture teeth are selected from a library that is the closest fit to the original denture teeth. The library teeth are offset a preset distance to compensate for the best fit. The teeth are then subtracted from the digitized denture. The margins of the denture are then cleaned after subtracting the teeth. The denture base is then ready for manufacturing. The teeth are then installed onto the denture base and provided to the patient.
ONE VISIT DENTURE
A denture is manufactured in a single visit using a pre-formed thermoplastic acrylic dental template chosen from a plurality of different sized dental templates, based on the size of a patient's alveolar edentulous ridge. The dental template includes a base thermoplastic acrylic with prosthetic teeth attached thereto. A viscous material such as an acrylic is added to the selected dental template and the dental template with the added viscous material is placed on the patient's alveolar edentulous ridge. The viscous material is then allowed to solidify to form a rigid or semi-rigid material with the template in proper position in three planes and properly border molded. After solidification a denture is formed that consists of a first base thermoplastic acrylic portion in conterminous relation with a second portion formed of the solidified material that had been added as a viscous material, and with teeth joined to the base thermoplastic acrylic portion.
DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND MOULDING METHOD
A dental prosthesis is disclosed includes a prosthetic tooth element comprising ceramic and a veneer located on a surface of the prosthetic tooth element, the veneer comprising cured dental composite. The prosthetic tooth element can be fixed to a mount in a patient's mouth using the same dental composite used for the veneer. A method of forming a prosthetic tooth element is disclosed including filling a mould that is formed at least partially from flexible polymeric material with a dental mixture comprising ceramic, and applying pressure to the filled mould to form a prosthetic tooth element comprising ceramic with a roughened surface.
A DENTAL PROSTHESIS
The invention provides a dental prosthesis, comprising: an implant frame configured to be fixed into the mouth of a patient to support replacement of two or more teeth of the patient, the implant frame having an exterior surface, the exterior surface defining a first engagement profile; and an overlay adapted to be secured to the implant frame and to provide, or afford mounting of, the two or more teeth, the overlay having an internal cavity that extends along a substantial length of the overlay, the internal cavity defining a second engagement profile, wherein the second engagement profile is complementary to the first engagement profile, thereby allowing fitment of a substantial portion of the exterior surface of the implant frame within the internal cavity.
Method for producing a dental prosthesis part, and dental prosthesis part
The invention relates to a dental prosthesis part production method, wherein: a dental prosthesis part model is generated taking into account a dental model; a load analysis of the dental prosthesis part model is carried out; a first reinforcing structure model having a first shape and position is arranged inside the dental prosthesis part model and the dental prosthesis part model is reduced by a volume corresponding to the arranged first reinforcing structure model; the reduced dental prosthesis part model is divided into a lower partial volume and an upper partial volume; a lower part of the dental prosthesis part is produced from a first composite material according to the lower partial volume by means of the 3D printer; a first reinforcing structure corresponding to the first reinforcing structure model is arranged on the first part of the dental prosthesis part; and, by means of the 3D printer using the first composite material, an upper part of the dental prosthesis part according to the upper partial volume is placed onto the lower part of the dental prosthesis part comprising the arranged first reinforcing structure.
Overdenture with horizontal implant
Apparatus is provided for overdenture with horizontal implant. The apparatus presented comprises an overdenture and a horizontal implant. The horizontal implant is surgically implanted onto the patient's maxilla or mandible, typically on the outside of the bone. The overdenture and the horizontal implant have attachment components which couple together to attach the overdenture to the horizontal implant. The attachment components may comprise ball-and-socket attachments, with the ball components affixed to the overdenture and the socket components affixed to the horizontal implants. The present invention solves problems with currently available dental implants and overdentures.
