Method for designing attachment abutments for attaching dentures to the mandible and/or maxilla
Disclosed is a method for digitally designing at least two attachment abutments, each attachment abutment comprising an implant connection section adapted for connection to a respective implant along an implant axis, a transition section separating the implant connection section and an attachment section, wherein the attachment section is adapted for receiving a mating part.
Method for the preparation of glasses and glass ceramics with SiO2 as main crystal phase
The invention relates to a method for the preparation of a glass ceramic or a glass, which comprise cerium ions and are suitable in particular for the preparation of dental restorations, the fluorescence properties of which largely correspond to those of natural teeth. The invention also relates to a glass ceramic and a glass which can be obtained using the method according to the invention, the use thereof as dental material and in particular for the preparation of dental restorations, as well as a glass-forming composition which is suitable for use in the method according to the invention.
Method and system for providing feedback data useful in prosthodontic procedures associated with the intra oral cavity
Feedback data useful in prosthodontic procedures associated with the intra oral cavity is provided. First, a 3D numerical model of the target zone in the intra oral cavity is provided, and this is manipulated so as to extract particular data that may be useful in a particular procedure, for example data relating to the finish line or to the shape and size of a preparation. The relationship between this data and the procedure is then determined, for example the clearance between the preparation and the intended crown. Feedback data, indicative of this relationship, is then generated, for example whether the preparation geometry is adequate for the particular type of prosthesis.
Dental appliance and method for making the same
Disclosed are example embodiments of methods and systems for improving teeth appearance and repositioning of the teeth. One of the systems is an appliance that includes: an outer shell with simulated teeth that approximate a final teeth arrangement; and inner cavities configured to receive a patient's teeth and to incrementally reposition the teeth toward the final teeth arrangement.
DENTAL PROSTHESIS AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
Disclosed herein are a dental prosthesis and its manufacturing method for restoring a lost tooth. The dental prosthesis has a male member formed on a holding part attached on an adjacent tooth for attaching an artificial tooth on the adjacent tooth and a female member formed in the artificial tooth so that the artificial tooth and the adjacent tooth can be connected with each other without grinding the adjacent tooth. The method for manufacturing the dental prosthesis includes the steps of duplicating an original model, waxing up the duplicated model, holding a sprue on the duplicated model in a state where the duplicated model is waxed up, and investing, burning out and casting the duplicating model.
Reinforced Resin-Retained Bridge
A resin-retained denture bridge having an improved bonding between a false tooth or teeth of the bridge and a retainer wire of the bridge is provided in the present invention, wherein a coupling recess is formed on a lingual side of the false tooth and a protrusion or an omega-shaped bend is formed on the retainer wire. The protrusion or omega-shaped bend is received in the coupling recess of the false tooth after or prior to a resin being filled in the coupling recess, which is then cured to form a secure engagement, so that the false tooth is bonded to the retainer with the end portions of the retainer wire extending laterally from the false tooth.
MULTI-UNIT DENTAL ASSEMBLY WITH OFF-AXIS FEATURE
A dental assembly includes a prosthesis having a base and a plurality of artificial teeth, and at least one connecting element coupled to the prosthesis and configured to facilitate coupling of the dental assembly to a patient's oral cavity. The at least one connecting element includes a cylinder with a body having a first end, a second end, and a passageway extending between the first and second ends. The connecting element further includes an opening through a sidewall of the cylinder that is open to the passageway. The slot allows access to a fixation screw positioned in the cylinder from a direction that is angled relative to an axis of the cylinder. A method of making a dental assembly is also disclosed.

MILLING BLANK FOR PRODUCING AN INDIRECT DENTAL RESTORATION, CORRESPONDING USES AND METHODS
Described is a milling blank for producing an indirect dental restoration, composed of resin or a resin-based composite, containing water in an amount of at least 25% of the water sorption W.sub.sp. Described is further a method for producing such a milling blank or a moulded part produced therefrom for use as an indirect dental restoration, a use of the water sorption method, a kit for producing indirect dental restorations and a method for indirect dental restoration.
Method of Making a Denture With Nature Bite and Wear Properties and Denture
The present invention to a method of denture manufacture that incorporates CAM-formed occlusal portions made of zirconia, resulting in a natural fit, feel, and wear essentially similar to the wear properties of natural teeth.
