HYBRID STYLE DENTURE SYSTEM FOR PARTIAL OR COMPLETE DENTURES
20250032230 · 2025-01-30 ·

A dental implant method comprises securing a denture to a denture receiving component installed to a wearer's dental arch, using normal hand force. The denture receiving component includes a first interlocking platform configured to mate lock with a second interlocking platform in the denture to secure the denture. The second interlocking platform is further configured to detach from the first interlocking platform to release the denture using normal hand force. The denture can be fully held in place by the denture receiving component and does not require gum tissue coverage or extraneous elements for support.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING FEEDBACK DATA USEFUL IN PROSTHODONTIC PROCEDURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE INTRA ORAL CAVITY
20170312063 · 2017-11-02 ·

Feedback data useful in prosthodontic procedures associated with the intra oral cavity is provided. First, a 3D numerical model of the target zone in the intra oral cavity is provided, and this is manipulated so as to extract particular data that may be useful in a particular procedure, for example data relating to the finish line or to the shape and size of a preparation. The relationship between this data and the procedure is then determined, for example the clearance between the preparation and the intended crown. Feedback data, indicative of this relationship, is then generated, for example whether the preparation geometry is adequate for the particular type of prosthesis.

DENTAL PROSTHESIS MODIFIED WITH FILM AND HAVING IMPROVED PROPERTIES

The invention relates to a dental prosthesis, in particular prefabricated tooth replacements, whereby a layer of a film is integrated into the dental prosthesis. Preferably, the dental prosthesis is built up layer-wise, whereby the prosthesis comprises an inner tooth portion, a film on the inner tooth portion, and a further tooth portion outside on the film, such as a veneer and/or incisor shell. The method for producing said dental prostheses is also a subject matter of the invention.

A system for attaching a natural tooth to a dental implant includes a dental prosthesis and an elastomeric cushion. The elastomeric cushion is positioned in contact, either directly or indirectly, with at least a portion of the dental implant and at least a portion of the dental prosthesis such that the elastomeric cushion permits movement of the dental prosthesis relative to the dental implant in response to movement of the natural tooth transferred through the dental prosthesis.

WINGED PONTIC AND RELATED METHOD
20170156827 · 2017-06-08 ·

A double linked winged pontic is provided having four extending wings of a flexible, bondable material. A method for constructing the double linked winged pontic is also provided. The extending wings, secured within the pontic, allow the pontic to be permanently secured to abutting teeth on both sides. The four extended wings are actually the end of two straps of a flexible, bondable, mesh material that extend through and are locked into the mesial and distal of the pontic. The pontic is placed in an opening resulting from a missing tooth, and secured in place by overlaying the flexible wings onto both the facial and the lingual sides of abutting teeth on both sides of the pontic. The pontic is positioned with the opening such that its face will follow the contour of and appear to be in alignment with the abutting teeth. The method of producing the pontic of the present invention includes the alternative methods of drilling channels of both sides of the channel, threading the strap of flexible bondable material through the channels and then filling and securing the straps therein with flowable bonding injected in the channels. Alternatively, a mold is provided and two straps of flexible bondable material are threaded through the mold and acrylic for the pontic is then poured in over the length of the straps.

MONOMER MIXTURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF DENTAL MATERIALS
20170143592 · 2017-05-25 ·

Monomer mixture for the preparation of dental materials, which contains at least one low-volatile monomethacrylate, at least one highly viscous polyfunctional methacrylate and at least one low-viscosity polyfunctional methacrylate.

Devices, systems, and methods for orthodontic hardware

An appliance for orthodontic hardware in the form of a cap sized to fit over a bracket and arch wire braces system. The cap includes a hollowed, mound shaped body with a bottom edge defining an opening on one side of the body. The cap also includes multiple tabs extending from the edge and partially over the opening. The bottom edge also defines two channels aligned opposite each other and extending from the bottom edge. With this arrangement, the cap can be positioned over a bracket with the tabs engaging the bracket and retaining the cap thereto while the channels defined in the body prevent the cap from engaging the arch wire.

Dental Bar Implant and Overdenture and Process for Using.

A two-part denture and inlay for implanting within the jaw of an edentulous patient thereby restoring the aesthetics and ability of the patient to eat. The denture has a blade-like lower edge that fits into a corresponding groove in the upper surface of the inlay, in a friction-fit manner, so that the patient cannot easily remove the denture. However, using screws in threaded holes provided in the denture, the dental practitioner can disengage the denture from the inlay and replace the denture, when necessary. Also, a method of using the two-part denture and inlay is provided.

Hollow superstructure for a dental prosthesis

A superstructure for oral, dental and maxillofacial prostheses includes at least one anchoring dental element and at least one additional dental element, wherein the additional dental element has an internal hollow portion forming a closed cavity inside the same element. With respect to the known technology in the field, the superstructure of the invention offers the advantage of being lighter, more comfortable and less bothersome for the user, thanks to the substantial reduction in weight due to the smaller quantities of material used for producing it.

Partial dental prosthesis

A method for producing partial dental prosthesis having at least one surface for forming a chewing surface of a posterior tooth is provided. The method includes (i) providing a composite material with at least one organic binding agent and solid particles that consist of glass as filler; and (ii) applying a laser to at least some regions of a surface of the chewing surface such that the at least one organic binding agent is burnt off in laser-treated regions and the solid particles are melted and fused together to form a continuous enamel layer.
