Container

Problem A container for viscous substances, especially liquids, is typically operated such that discharge is effected by, for example, folding or pumping action exerted by a means provided atop the container. Complete emptying of a conventional container in most cases cannot be achieved. Some residues may be removed by the action of gravity. However, for substances of higher viscosity, retrieving residues from the container remains a challenge. Furthermore, the shelf life of the fluid may be adversely affected by ambient air entering the container as it is being emptied. The invention aims to facilitate an almost complete discharge of a container, regardless of gravity. Moreover, the viscous fluid is to be preserved in vacuum to prolong its shelf life. Solution Container for a preferably viscous fluid having a compressible, preferably elastic, outer body (1) and an inner body (2) opening out of the container and comprising the fluid, characterized in that captive air is enclosed between the outer body (1) and inner body (2) and the inner body (2) is affixed within the outer body (1) such that when compressive force is applied upon the outer body (1), the captive air transfers the force unto the inner body (2), displacing and discharging the fluid from the container.

The method for producing a container consisting of a rigid outer container and a deformable inner bag. A first screw conveyor supplies a first thermoplastic plastics material for the outer container and at least a second and a third screw conveyor supplies at least a second and a third thermoplastic plastics material for the inner bag to an extruder which coextrudes a parison consisting of at least the first, second and third layers. The parison is inflated by a pressure medium to bring it into contact with the wall of the blow mould, where excess material below the welded seam is cut off and the container is removed from the blow mould. The second thermoplastic plastics material forming the outer layer of the inner bag consists of a material which, in the hardened state, has a rough surface having microscopically small elevations and depressions.

In one aspect, a condiment dispenser for discharging condiment from a condiment container is disclosed. The condiment dispenser includes a housing configured to surround at least a portion of the condiment container when installed in the housing. A spout extends from the condiment dispenser for discharging the condiment from the dispenser. A pump is positioned within the housing to force condiment to the spout and out of the condiment dispenser. The condiment dispenser further includes a substantially continuous flow path having an inlet configured to couple to the condiment container and an outlet in the spout for discharging the condiment, the substantially continuous flow path installed as a single unit from the inlet to the outlet and extending through the pump.

CARTRIDGE AND WET CLEANING ASSEMBLY

Provided is a cartridge (100) attachable to a wet cleaning apparatus, in particular a wet floor cleaning apparatus. The wet cleaning apparatus has a volume displacement device (102) for dosing surface treating agent from the cartridge when the cartridge is attached to the wet cleaning apparatus. The cartridge comprises a chamber (106) for containing surface treating agent. The cartridge also has an interfacial portion (107) for interfacing with the volume displacement device during attachment of the cartridge to define a dosing assembly (108). At least one way valve (116, 120) is configured to enable fluid to exit the chamber and/or the dosing assembly by operation of the volume displacement device, and restrict passage of the surface treating agent therethrough prior to attachment of the cartridge. Further provided a cleaning assembly comprising a cartridge and a wet cleaning apparatus.

CARTRIDGE AND WET CLEANING ASSEMBLY

Provided is a cartridge attachable to a wet cleaning apparatus for dosing surface treating agent from the cartridge. The cartridge including a chamber for containing surface treating agent, an interfacial portion for interfacing with the wet cleaning apparatus, and a covering assembly for covering at least part of the interfacial portion prior to attachment of the cartridge. The interfacial portion including a coupling part for coupling the cartridge to a complementary coupling part of the wet cleaning apparatus. The covering assembly includes a further complementary coupling part configured to detachably couple to the coupling part so that the covering assembly covers the at least part of the interfacial portion when the cartridge is not attached to the wet cleaning apparatus, with detachment of the further complementary coupling part from the coupling part enabling attachment of the cartridge to the wet cleaning apparatus using the coupling part.
