NATIVE WHARTON'S JELLY STEM CELLS AND THEIR PURIFICATION
Noncultured Wharton's Jelly stem cells and methods of their purification, storage and use are provided.
ANTIBODY CONSTRUCTS FOR DLL3 AND CD3
The present invention relates to a bispecific antibody construct comprising a first binding domain which binds to human DLL3 on the surface of a target cell and a second binding domain which binds to human CD3 on the surface of a T cell. Moreover, the invention provides a polynucleotide encoding the antibody construct, a vector comprising said polynucleotide and a host cell transformed or transfected with said polynucleotide or vector. Furthermore, the invention provides a process for the production of the antibody construct of the invention, a medical use of said antibody construct and a kit comprising said antibody construct.
Cosmetic composition for improving condition of skin, containing cell culture medium, epidermal growth factor and bovine serum albumin
The present invention relates to: a cosmetic composition for improving the condition of the skin, containing, as active ingredients, a cell culture medium, an epidermal growth factor and a bovine serum albumin; a method for improving the condition of the skin by using the same; and a method for preventing or treating skin diseases. According to the present invention, the cosmetic composition can exhibit excellent wrinkle-reducing and wound-healing effects even when only a small amount of EGF is used, and thus can be useful in improving the condition of the skin or in preventing or treating skin diseases.
CHIMERIC ANTIGEN RECEPTORS TARGETED TO PSCA
Chimeric transmembrane immunoreceptors (CAR) targeted to PSCA are described.
RECOMBINANT EXPRESSION OF PCV2B ORF2 PROTEIN IN INSECT CELLS
The present invention relates to the field of veterinary vaccines, in particular to porcine vaccines against PCV2 and associated diseases. Specifically the invention relates to the finding that a mutation is required in PCV2b ORF2 protein, to prevent its nuclear accumulation upon expression in insect cells; the mutation introduces a Proline at amino acid position 131. This allows efficient expression in insect cells, easy harvesting, and generates large amounts of virus-like particles. The VLPs are highly effective in vaccines for porcines for reduction of infection by PCV2 or of associated signs of disease.
Methods and reagents for maintaining the visability of cancer cells in surgically removed tissue
A composition and method for generating reagents and the composition of these reagents for the stabilization and preservation of viability of cancer tissue which has been surgically excised and the suspension and/or termination of apoptosis (cell death) by significant modulation of cell metabolism by low molar concentrations of synergistic chemistries and hormonal growth enhancers while maintaining normal gene expression patterns of the surgically excised tissue.
Animal models and therapeutic molecules
The invention discloses methods for the generation of chimaeric humannon-human antibodies and chimaeric antibody chains, antibodies and antibody chains so produced, and derivatives thereof including fully humanised antibodies; compositions comprising said antibodies, antibody chains and derivatives, as well as cells, non-human mammals and vectors, suitable for use in said methods.
FILTERED CELL CULTURE CAPS AND CELL CULTURE METHODS
A bioreactor is provided herein. The bioreactor includes a vessel having a wall at least partially defining an interior compartment for receiving fluid, at least one port, and at least one cap configured to removably engage with the at least one port, the at least one cap comprising a filter material. A cell culture method is also provided herein which includes adding cells and cell growth medium to a vessel of a bioreactor and adding microcarriers to the vessel to form substantially confluent cells on the microcarriers. The cell culture method further includes washing the confluent cells, harvesting the confluent cells to form a solution containing the cells, and removing the solution containing the cells from the vessel by flowing the solution through a filter material in a cap removably engaged with at least one port of the bioreactor.
Recombinant RNA-Dependent RNA Polymerase of RNA Viruses
The present disclosure provides nucleic acids, expression vectors, host cells for producing recombinant viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) polypeptides of viruses such as Ebola virus. The present disclosure also provides methods and substrates for assaying activity of a RdRp polypeptide or a RdRp complex. Also provided herein are inhibitors of RdRp polypeptides of viruses such as Ebola virus for use in treating or preventing viral infection.
NOVEL EUKARYOTIC CELL TRANSFECTION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
The present invention provides robust, streamlined, reproducible and highly efficient eukaryotic cell transfection systems and related methods. The highly-efficient systems and methods of the present invention reduce the number of steps required to transfect cells and reduce, e.g., eliminate, the need for specialized equipment. In particular, the systems and related methods afford the ability for streamlining transfection while retaining and improving robust and reproducible transfection efficiencies, cell viability, and/or protein production. Furthermore, the highly-efficient systems and methods of the present invention for transfecting eukaryotic cells also eliminate the need for any specialized or complicated preparation of exogenous nucleic acid, which makes available high throughput and/or large scale transfection.
