ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE BOOSTER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE BOOSTER
An electromechanical brake booster for a braking system of a vehicle. The brake booster includes a spindle nut that is movable into rotation using an electric motor that is intrinsic or external to the brake booster, a spindle situated at the spindle nut and rotatably fixedly held using a support plate in such a way that the spindle and the support plate are movable into pure translatory motion using the spindle nut that is moved into rotation, and a reaction disk receiving element that is also movable using the support plate that is moved into pure translatory motion. The reaction disk receiving element includes a receiving opening in which a reaction disk is situated. The support plate and the reaction disk receiving element are designed as a one-piece component. A method for manufacturing an electromechanical brake booster for a braking system of a vehicle, is also described.
System and method for locating wheels of vehicle
A system includes detecting devices secured respectively on wheels of a vehicle at different angular positions, sensors assigned respectively to the wheels and a control unit. Each detecting device emits a detecting signal when disposed at a first position and a second position different from the first position by a first angle. The first position where each detecting device emits the detecting signal during a current rotation cycle of the respective wheel differs from that during a next rotation cycle of the respective wheel by a second angle. The control device analyzes the detecting signals and tooth number signals from the sensors to associate the detecting devices respectively with the sensors.
Link and ball socket assembly for vehicle position sensor
A link and ball socket assembly for a vehicle position sensor comprising a first molded member including a link and a first socket and a second molded member including a second socket coupled to the first molded member. The first socket is molded to and integral with a first end of the link and the second socket is coupled to and rotatable relative to a second opposed end of the link. The first socket defines an interior ball receiving pocket. The interior pocket defines a first back pocket portion which opens into a second front ball shaped pocket portion. The ball is received in the first back pocket portion and slid and snapped into the second front pocket portion. A locking pin is inserted into the interior pocket into a relationship abutting against the ball for retaining the ball in the socket.
Wheel fastener alarm
A wheel fastener alarm is provided with a fastener body, a cap covering the fastener body, a sensor array disposed within the fastener body, and a cover disposed over an opening in the fastener body and a hole in the cap.
A SYSTEM TO BE COUPLED TO A CARDAN SHAFT, RELATED CARDAN SHAFT AND OPERATION METHOD OF SAID SYSTEM
A cardan shaft slip distance change detection system for determining the amount of length change of the cardan shaft, including a moveable element and a stationary element associated with a telescopic approach to compensate for the change of distance caused by the vehicle's axle movements. At least two conductive elements are configured as one of them connected to a fixed point, another to the moveable element. A power element is provided to supply power to at least one of the conductive elements. A detection unit measures the electrical value change provided by the electrical interaction between the conductive elements and correlating it with the distance between the conductive elements.
COMBINED RADAR AND LIGHTING UNIT AND LASER RADAR APPARATUS
A combined radar and lighting unit includes a laser radar apparatus, a lighting device, and a controller. The laser radar apparatus is mounted to a vehicle, emits laser light toward an outside of the vehicle, and detects reflected light. The lighting device is mounted to the vehicle and emits visible light toward the outside of the vehicle. The controller controls the lighting device to cause the lighting device to alternately operate in a first emission mode to perform emission of the visible light, and in a second emission mode to stop emission of the visible light or reduce a quantity of the visible light. The controller controls the laser radar apparatus to interrupt the measurement of the distance while the lighting device is operating in the first emission mode, and executes the measurement of the distance while the lighting device is operating in the second emission mode.
Smart wheel
A smart wheel is provided, including a main body, at least one wheel body and a GPS module. The main body includes a pin and a wheel seat, and the wheel seat is connected with the pin. The at least one wheel body is pivoted to the wheel seat along an axial direction. The GPS module is arranged on the main body and includes a GPS chip.
Axle assembly having a sensor for detecting a shift collar
An axle assembly having a shift collar and a sensor. The shift collar may be rotatable about a first axis and moveable along the first axis. The sensor may detect detection features associated with the shift collar and provide a signal that may be indicative of rotation of the shift collar about the first axis and positioning of the shift collar along the first axis.
Compressed natural gas vehicle safety system and method
A multiply-redundant system that prevents a driver from starting and/or moving a vehicle if a compressed natural gas fill system is not correctly and completely disconnected from the vehicle. One or more sensors in combination with one or more optional microswitches combine to lock-out the vehicle's ignition or otherwise prevent it from starting and/or moving. For different levels of safety, different combinations of sensors can be used with the lowest level having a single proximity sensor sensing the presence or absence of a high-pressure fill hose. The highest level of safety being achieved by having separate proximity sensors on the fuel fill hose fitting, the gas cap cover and a manual safety valve along with a redundant microswitch. An optional override that may be restricted as to the number of times it can be used can allow starting with a faulty sensor in order to allow maintenance.
Operating fluid container for a motor vehicle
The present invention discloses an operating fluid container for a motor vehicle, wherein the operating fluid container comprises a fill level sensor, a tank control device and an electrically and/or electromagnetically actuable actuator; the tank control device is connected to the actuator by means of a first data exchange connection and to the fill level sensor by means of a second data exchange connection; the fill level sensor is designed to transmit data representing a fill level of the operating fluid container to the tank control device via the second data exchange connection; the tank control device is designed to transmit a filling stop signal to the actuator via the first data exchange connection upon receiving data which represent a predetermined fill level of the operating fluid container; and the actuator initiates the termination of a filling procedure of the operating fluid container upon receiving the filling stop signal.
