RADIOMETRY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DENTAL APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for radiometry in dental applications. The disclosed systems include a radiometer, a dental curing light, a composite material reader, and a restoration data storage device, where one or more of the radiometer, dental curing light, composite material reader, and restoration data storage device include one or more communication modules that enable wireless communication between one or more components. The radiometer is preferably programmed to determine the change in a rate of cure of a light-curable composite material and thereby determine whether an optimum cure time has been reached for the light-curable composite material. The communication modules may be used to transmit information between the radiometer and the curing light, and between one or more of the radiometer and curing light and one or more of the composite material reader and restoration data storage device.
Phototherapy devices and methods
The present disclosure relates to a phototherapy device that can deliver light to tissues to activate photoactive agents that have been applied to the tissues or that are included within a fiber optic tip member of the device which may be coupled to a light source using a sleeve. The present disclosure also relates to methods of phototherapy using the phototherapy device such as anti-bactericidal treatment, anti-fungal treatment, anti-parasitic treatment, anti-viral treatment.
Heating of dental materials using overtone signatures, absorbing dyes and material properties
The invention relates to the application of photon energy to energize dental materials to enhance their physical handling characteristics, efficacy, ability to be delivered, reactivity, polymerization, and/or post-cure mechanical properties, among other attributes.
LIGHT CURING DENTAL SYSTEM
A light curing dental system comprising a light emitting tray that precisely distributes an optimal amount of curing light energy to internal, external and extra oral portions of the dental arch to cure a dental material. The light curing dental system generally includes a light source, a light emitting dental tray, an activation module and a photocurable dental material.
High Productivity System for Printing Precision Articles
A three-dimensional printing system includes a resin vessel, a support tray, a motorized carriage, a light engine, and a controller. The resin vessel has a lower side with a transparent sheet which provides a lower bound for photocurable resin contained within the vessel. The support tray has a lower face for supporting an object being fabricated. The motorized carriage is for supporting and vertically positioning the support tray. The light engine is for projecting radiation up through the transparent sheet to a build plane. The controller operates the motorized carriage and the light engine to fabricate the object. The object includes a vertical arrangement of dental arches suspended from the lower face and a plurality couplings that connect pairs of the dental arches.
DEVICE FOR CURING LIGHT HARDENING RESIN
The device generally relates to a device for curing light hardening resin or resins, and more specifically, to a device for curing light hardening resins by exposure to selected light spectrum or spectrums for curing of light hardening resins through the incorporation of at least one light source which produces radiant light with the proper spectral frequency or frequencies to effect curing of light hardening resins used in combination with a gimbal wherein the resin or resins is placed.
DENTAL ATTACHMENT FORMATION STRUCTURE
The present disclosure provides methods, computing device readable medium, devices, and systems having a dental attachment formation structure. One dental attachment formation apparatus includes a body having a first surface shaped to conform to the contours of an exterior surface of a tooth and including a portion of the first surface shaped to accommodate an attachment that is to be attached to the exterior surface of the tooth and a light source attachment structure for attachment of a light source to the body.
METAL-MODIFIED NANOPARTICLE ENABLED DENTAL RESINS FOR PREVENTION OF DENTAL CARIES
A dental resin composition that includes a dental resin. The composition includes metal-modified cerium oxide nanoparticles (mCNPs) having a predominantly 3+ cerium surface charge and in a range of about 3-25 nm in size and mixed in an amount that is in a range of about 0.01 to 0.1 weight percentage of a mixture having the dental resin and the mCNPs. The m is an antimicrobial promoting metal that is non-ionizing. The mCNPs effectuate release directed hydrogen peroxide (H.sub.2O.sub.2) in an oral cavity that is then used against bacteria in the oral cavity to prevent local acidification of a tooth on which a therapeutically effect amount of the mixture is applied and cured. The dental resin composition includes one of an acrylic-based polymer resin, a methyl methacrylate-based resin, photopolimerisable resin composite, and urethane dimethacrylate-based dental resin.
USING AN INTRAORAL MIRROR WITH AN INTEGRATED CAMERA TO RECORD DENTAL STATUS, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
Method and arrangement for cleaning of a canal
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the cleaning of a circumferentially closed canal by means of a light guide conducting a laser beam. The entry of the laser beam into the light guide is interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside of the canal and/or the movement of the light guide within the canal is monitored and that if there is no movement or the movement is below a threshold value then a signal is triggered and/or the laser radiation is turned off or its output is reduced.
