FACILITATION OF SESSION STATE DATA MANAGEMENT
20170374157 · 2017-12-28 ·

A more efficient wireless network can utilize network elements, a service controller, and agents associated with the network elements. Each network element can publish state information and resource information so that other network elements and the service controller can readily identify which network element has available resources. Therefore, each network element can be a resource consumer and a resource provider. Additionally, the network elements can register with the service controller and/or allow agents to act on their behalf in order to generate a more efficient network.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT CONFIGURATION

Methods, apparatus, and systems disclosed provide for the configuration of acknowledgments of data. In some aspects, a method includes generating an aggregated media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (A-MPDU) frame, comprising a media access control protocol data unit (MPDUs), the media access control protocol data unit (MPDUs) comprising a media access control (MAC) header and data, wherein the media access control (MAC) header comprises an indication of an acknowledgment type for the data of the MPDU; and transmitting the A-MPDU onto a wireless network.

DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION AND ATTRIBUTION
20170374015 · 2017-12-28 ·

Techniques are presented herein for a DNS resolver to encode a falsified IP address with a client identifier that identifies a client attempting to access a blocked domain. The DNS resolver receives, from a client, a DNS request that contains a requested domain name and a client identifier. The DNS resolver then determines the identity of the client from the client identifier in the DNS request. The DNS resolver then applies policies for the domain name system request to determine that the requested domain name should be blocked for the identity of the client. The DNS resolver may then construct a falsified Internet Protocol address when the domain name should be blocked for the identified client, where the falsified Internet Protocol is encoded with the client identifier. The DNS resolver then sends to the client, in response to the DNS request, the falsified Internet Protocol address.

USING DYNAMIC HOST CONFIGURATION PROTOCOL TO PROTECT DATA

Two or more nodes in a cluster are determined. The cluster manages one or more resources found on a device. An indication from a first node of the two or more nodes is received. The indication includes a request for an IP lease for the first node. A parity bit setting for the first node is determined. Responsive to determining the parity bit setting of the first node being set to one, an IP lease to the first node is indicated. Responsive to determining the parity bit setting of the first node being set to zero, a denial of an IP lease to the first node is indicated.

IDENTIFIER ASSIGNMENT FOR UNASSOCIATED STATIONS
20170374684 · 2017-12-28 ·

Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for identifier assignment for unassociated stations (STAs). An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry configured to: encode a high-efficiency (HE) trigger frame (TF)(HE TF) for uplink (UL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) random access (RA) including one or more resource units (RUs) for UL OFDMA random access. The processing circuitry may be further configured to decode a packet from a station, the packet including a media access control (MAC) address of the station, and wherein the packet is to be received on a RU of the one or more RUs for UL OFDMA random access, and to encode a response frame comprising a non-associated identification (NAID) for the station and the MAC address of the station.

System and method for providing virtual spaces for access by users via the web

A system configured to provide one or more virtual spaces that are accessible to users. The virtual spaces may be provided such that an enhanced level of interactivity between the virtual spaces and the Web, including resources that communicate with the system via the Internet (e.g., via users, websites, webpages, other web resources, etc.) and/or other networks. To provide this enhanced level of interactivity, the system may enable interactions between an instance of a virtual space and the Web (e.g., queries, commands, communication, administrative controls, etc.) via a standard web protocol, such as a HyperText Transfer Protocol (e.g., http, https, etc.) and/or other standard web protocols. Since interactions take place between the instance of the virtual space and the Web via a standard web protocol, the instance of the virtual space may interact directly with Web resources such as web servers, web browsers, websites, webpages, and/or other Web resources.

Downloadable ISIM

An IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) network contains at least one of (A) a discovery function (2) for providing ISIM (IP Multimedia Subscriber Identity Module) discovery information to the mobile device (1) and (B) a provisioning function (2, 5, 6) for providing, in response to a request from a mobile device, an ISIM to the mobile device (1). Where the IMS network contains the discovery function, the discovery function is adapted to provide ISIM discovery information to the mobile device, and where the IMS network contains the provisioning function, the provisioning function is adapted to provide an ISIM to the mobile device (1).

Power-preserving communications architecture with long-polling persistent cloud channel for wireless network-connected thermostat

Methods and systems facilitate network communications between a wireless network-connected thermostat and a cloud-based management server in a manner that promotes reduced power usage and extended service life of a energy-storage device of the thermostat, while at the same time accomplishing timely data transfer between the thermostat and the cloud-based management server for suitable and time-appropriate control of an HVAC system. The thermostat further comprises powering circuitry configured to: extract electrical power from one or more HVAC control wires in a manner that does not require a “common” wire; supply electrical power for thermostat operation; recharge the energy-storage device (if needed) using any surplus extracted power; and discharge the energy-storage device to assist in supplying electrical power for thermostat operation during intervals in which the extracted power alone is insufficient for thermostat operation.

System and method for facilitating communication

According to one embodiment, a system includes one or more memory units for storing an Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) table. The system further includes one or more processors. The processors receive, from a routing protocol, an Internet Protocol (IP)-Media Access Control (MAC) address pair for a first host computer. The processors further populate the ARP table with the IP-MAC address pair for the first host computer.
