IDENTIFICATION OF USERS IN A PREDEFINED ENVIRONMENT
A method is provided for obtaining a graph by a terminal able to communicate with an item of equipment via a telecommunications network. The method is adapted to obtain a medium identifier emitted, via a near-field wireless communication technology, by a data medium situated in a predefined environment, to dispatch to the item of equipment a notification signaling the presence of the user in the environment, to receive identification data in respect of users present and at least one item of position information, and to highlight on a displayed graph at least one position allocated to a user and to display on said graph, in conjunction with a highlighted position, data of the user. Also provided are a method of presence management adapted to receive presence notifications and to transmit to the terminal identification data in respect of users present in the environment. Also provided are the terminal and equipment.
Indication of Attributes of Backhaul Connections of Access Points
Embodiments include methods and devices enabling an access point to indicate an attribute of the backhaul connection of the access point. Embodiments include methods and devices for notifying a user of a computing device of backhaul connection attributes of available access points.
COMBINED FINE TIMING MEASUREMENT (FTM) AND NON-FTM MESSAGING FOR POSITION DETERMINATION
In one aspect, a method includes performing, by a wireless station, a fine timing measurement (FTM) procedure with each of one or more FTM-enabled access points (APs) to obtain a respective one or more FTM-based round-trip time (RTT) measurement between the wireless station and each of the one or more FTM-enabled APs. The method also includes performing a non-FTM procedure with each of one or more non-FTM-enabled APs to obtain a respective one or more non-FTM-based RTT measurement. The wireless station then calculates a position of the wireless device based on both the one or more FTM-based RTT measurements and the one or more non-FTM-based RTT measurements.
SENSOR DATA ACQUISITION IN A USER EQUIPMENT
The present application relates to acquiring sensor data at a user equipment (UE). The described aspects include receiving a first input representing a request to activate one or more sensors. The described aspects further include activating, by a controller at the UE, the one or more sensors in response to receiving the first input. Further, the described aspects include receiving the sensor data from each of the one or more sensors in response to activating the one or more sensors. The described aspects include determining whether a sensor adjustment condition has been satisfied. Additionally, the described aspects include adjusting an acquisition characteristic of the one or more sensors based on determining that the sensor adjustment condition has been satisfied.
LOW POWER V2I/V2V MODE FOR MOBILE DEVICES
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus may be configured to obtain location information associated with the apparatus. The apparatus may be configured to determine routing information from the apparatus to a geographical area based on the obtained location information. The apparatus may be configured to adjust a periodicity for safety reporting based on the determined routing information.
PROVIDING COMMUNICATION RANKING SCHEME BASED ON RELATIONSHIP GRAPH
A communication ranking scheme is provided based on a relationship graph. A communication service initiates operations to provide the communication ranking scheme by identifying an attribute of a communication upon receiving the communication intended for a recipient. A relationship graph is queried to retrieve a signal and a signal value associated with the attribute. The signal value is processed with a weight value to generate a weighted signal value that is used to compute a rank value for the communication. The rank value is provided along with the communication to a client application for ordering the communication based on the rank value.
INTELLIGENT CONFIGURATION DISCOVERY TECHNIQUES
At a configuration discovery service, a unique service-side identifier is generated for a configuration item based on analysis of a data set obtained from a first data source. A determination is made that a second data set, which does not contain the service-side identifier and is obtained from a different data source, also includes information pertaining to the same configuration item. A coalesced configuration record for the configuration item is prepared. The coalesced configuration record is stored at a repository and used to respond to a programmatic query.
Method and System for Transmission and Low-Latency Real-Time Output and/or Processing of an Audio Data Stream
A method for transmission and low-latency real-time output and/or processing of an audio data stream that is transmitted from at least one transmitter to at least one receiver over a jittering transmission path. The method includes a calibration for determining a distribution of latencies in transmission of packets of the audio data stream, whereby a group of packets of the audio data stream is used as calibration packets and wherein a reference time grid and an offset of a fastest calibration packet are determined. Then, a shift of an output time grid for audio output and/or processing, based on the reference time grid and the determined offset of the fastest calibration packet, and the audio packets of the audio data stream are provided according to the output time grid for audio output and/or processing.
ADAPTIVE TESTING USING DYNAMICALLY DETERMINED SYSTEM RESOURCES OF A COMPUTER SYSTEM
Embodiments include methods, and adaptive testing systems, and computer program products for performing adaptive testing using one or more system resources of a computer system dynamically determined from a platform on which a test program is executing. Aspects include: test program sending a resource query based on certain criteria to a resource query module to inquire one or more available system resources of computer system, the resource query module using certain operating system commands of computer system to determine appropriate system resources available for use on the computer system, the computer system returning the appropriate system resources determined on the computer system to the resource query module of the test program, the test program deciding one or more system resources that best meet a need of the test program, and the test program performing the adaptive testing on the computer system based on the one or more system resources decided.
DYNAMIC HEARTBEATING MECHANISM
System and method for providing failover protection for a cluster of host computers operates in one of two modes. When the number of host computers in the cluster is equal to or less than a threshold number, the host computers in the cluster operate in an all-active heartbeating mode in which each of the host computers is enabled to function as a master node. When the number of host computers in the cluster is greater than the threshold number, the host computers in the cluster operate in a distributed heartbeating mode in which some of the host computers function as master nodes and at least one of the host computers functions as a slave node.
