COMMUNICATION APPARATUS GENERATING AND ELIMINATING REDUNDANT DATA PACKETS
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to eliminate redundant data packets. In at least one embodiment, a communication apparatus generates redundant data packets, and sends them in multiple packet streams. In at least one embodiment, a communication apparatus eliminates redundant data packets from received packet streams.
DISTRIBUTED NODE PROCESSING OF NETWORK TRAFFIC
A first network device may receive first traffic of a session that involves a service. The first network device may identify that the service is configured for distributed node processing. The first network device may identify a second network device that is configured for distributed node processing. The first network device may identify a state machine that is associated with the service. The first network device may determine, based on the state machine, a first function and a second function, wherein the first function is identified by a first label and the second function is identified by a second label. The first network device may process the first traffic based on the first function. The first network device may provide, to the second network device, the first traffic and the second label to permit the second network device to process second traffic in association with the second function.
Systems and methods for dynamic bandwidth allocation and optimization
In some embodiments, an amount of aggregated bandwidth consumption for a set of computing devices on a network may be determined for a first time period. An amount of available bandwidth on the network may be determined for the first time period. A ratio of the amount of aggregated bandwidth consumption to the amount of available bandwidth may be determined. A bandwidth threshold may be determined based on the ratio. A rate limit for a first computing device (of the set of computing devices) may be set based on a comparison of the bandwidth threshold to bandwidth consumption of the first computing device.
Traffic shaping over multiple hops in a network
A first network device receives a message from a second network device with an indication that the first network device is to adjust a data rate of data being received by the first network device. The first network device includes a first buffer space that is greater than a second buffer space of the second network device. The first network device determines a set of computing devices connected to the second network device based on receiving the indication and defines a set of first data rates to use to send data to respective computing devices. The first network device adjusts a second data rate of received data to send the received data through the second network device to a computing device at a first data rate defined in the set of first data rates. The first network device uses the first buffer space to perform the adjusting.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTENT BASED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
A system and a method for traffic management on a network. The method including: determining a desired intent for a network operator's traffic; determining a set of classes for a traffic flow through a link; determining a minimum and target bandwidth for each class in the set of class based on the desired intent; measure user score and bandwidth use for each class; allocate a bandwidth per class based on the minimum and target bandwidth and measured user score; and shape the traffic flow to the allocated bandwidth.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR APPLICATION AND POLICY BASED NETWORK TRAFFIC ISOLATION AND DATA TRANSFER
A method includes allocating an identifier to each of a plurality of policies each comprising a network-isolation identifier associated with a VXWAN directive and transmitting each of the plurality of policies to one or more devices in a network.
DETECTION BLOCK SENDING AND RECEIVING METHOD, AND NETWORK DEVICE AND SYSTEM
This application provides example detection block sending and receiving methods, and network devices and systems. One example detection block sending method includes obtaining, by a network device, an original bit block data flow. At least one detection block is generated, and the at least one detection block is inserted into a position of at least one idle block in the original bit block data flow. The bit block data flow including the at least one detection block is then sent.
Distributed processing system throttling using a timestamp
Methods, systems, and apparatus are described for throttling a distributed processing system. In one aspect, a method includes identifying records being processed by a distributed processing system that performs agent processes, each of the records including a corresponding timestamp; determining, based on timestamps of the records that have been processed by a first agent process, a first agent progress; identifying a dependent agent process performed by the distributed processing system, wherein the dependent agent process processes only records that have been processed by the first agent process; determining, based on timestamps of records that have been processed by the dependent agent process, a dependent agent progress; and throttling performance of the first process based on the first agent progress and the dependent agent progress.
System and method for supporting SMA level abstractions at router ports for inter-subnet exchange of management information in a high performance computing environment
Systems and methods for supporting SMA level abstractions at router ports for inter-subnet exchange of management information in a high performance computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, a subnet manager in a local subnet is responsible for establishing and configuring a remote attribute a switch having a switch port configured as a router port. This remote attribute can comprise certain information about the local subnet, including connectivity information and port status information. On receiving a query from a remote subnet manager, via a SMP (or a vendor specific SMP), information contained in the remote attribute can be communicated back to the remote subnet manager.
Multiplexed resource allocation architecture
A device configured to receive a data set and instructions for processing the data set from a network device. The device is further configured to parse the data set into a plurality of data segments to be processed, and generate a plurality of instruction segments from the received instructions. The device is further configured to assign each instruction segment to a resource unit, and to generate control information with instructions for combining processed data segments from the resource units. The device is further configured to receive processed data segments from the resource units, to generate the processed data set, and to output the processed data set to the network device.
