COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT MODIFICATION BASED ON AN IMPACT CURVE
In one example, a method includes monitoring user interaction with a modified computing environment for a period of time and detecting a plurality of groups of users, each group of users corresponding to a different initial time of interaction with the modified computing environment. The method also includes generating a metric for each of the groups of users, the metric corresponding to an action in the modified computing environment initiated by the users in each group. Additionally, the method includes generating an impact curve corresponding to the modified computing environment based on aggregated metrics for each of the plurality of groups of users and disabling the modification to the computing environment in response to detecting values along the impact curve are below a threshold value.
PLATFORM FOR ESTABLISHING COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTION BETWEEN USERS AND A METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a social network application that facilitates breaking the ice between users who are not acquainted from each other before. In one embodiment, the application comprises a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising programmable instructions adapted to be executed on one or more processors, and to perform a method of: enabling each user to select one of multiple status modes at the platform server, where each status mode dictates a certain action or counteraction that can be taken by other user or users, and each status mode allows different level of communication to be established between the users; allowing the first user to send an alert to a second user displayed on a map and/or a list; allowing the second user to change his or her status mode towards the first user based on the alert; and allowing a two-way communication to be established between the first user and the second user.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND MEDIA FOR PRESENTING MESSAGES RELATED TO NOTIFICATIONS
Methods, systems, and media for presenting messages related to notifications are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: determining notification settings; determining that a notification of a particular type of notification is to be presented on a user device, wherein the particular type of notification is a notification that indicates recommended content to a user of the user device; causing the notification to be presented on the user device; determining that a message containing information related to the notification is to be presented on the user device, wherein the message includes a selectable input that, when selected, causes a user interface for modifying the notification settings to be presented; causing the message to be presented concurrently with the notification on the user device; in response to determining that the selectable input has been selected, causing the user interface for modifying the notification settings to be presented on the user device.

A method includes receiving a set of messages corresponding to a user, identifying a non-terminal message from the received set of messages, wherein a non-terminal message is a message containing content that indicates further action is required, determining if an age of the identified non-terminal message is greater than a selected threshold, wherein the age of the identified non-terminal message corresponds to an amount of time elapsed since the message was received, identifying actionable content corresponding to the non-terminal message, wherein actionable content corresponds to message content that requests or indicates a need for further action, determining one or more next actions according to the identified actionable contents, and executing the determined one or more actions. A computer program product and computer system corresponding to the method are also disclosed.
Methods and Systems for Maintaining Reachability of a Messaging Application
Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for the atomic switching of user accounts for a messaging client, in order to maintain constant network availability of the messaging client. The messaging client may allow the registering of multiple messaging accounts and switching between them. Switching may include validating a selecting account, logging out the currently-active account if validation is successful, and logging in the selected account. If validation or logging-in fails, the messaging client remains logged-in to, or returns to, the previously-active account. A limited token may be maintained for inactive accounts and may allow for the retrieval of information such as whether inactive accounts have unread messages, and if so how many, without allowing further access. The messaging client may therefore periodically poll the messaging system (or vice versa) and display notifications for inactive accounts, and the inactive accounts may still be listed as available via the messaging system.
ROUTING CLOUD MESSAGES USING DIGITAL CERTIFICATES
Provided are a system and method for routing messages in a multi-tenant cloud computing environment based on digital certificates. In one example, a server includes a network interface configured to receive a request and a digital certificate from a network object, where the digital certificate includes a plurality of attributes. The server also includes a processor configured to determine whether the digital certificate is valid, and in response to determining the digital certificate is valid, detect tenant information from an attribute among the plurality of attributes included in the digital certificate. For example, the detected tenant information may identify a tenant of the multi-tenant cloud computing environment. The network interface may be further configured to transmit the request to the multi-tenant cloud computing environment based on the detected tenant information.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USING DIFFERENT VIDEO FORMATS IN LIVE VIDEO CHAT
A device is described for bridging a live video chat between two users via two terminals. Upon a conduction that the video chat will be the first chat between the two users or that the two users have not had such a video chat for a certain period of time since last video chat, or that one user's privilege for video chatting is higher than the other user's, instructions will be send to either or both of the terminals to make non full-fledged video to be used in the video chat. The non full-fledged video refers to a video with its color or audio components altered, or captured with an altered resolution or frame per second rate.
Search system and methods with integration of user annotations from a trust network
Computer systems and methods incorporate user annotations (metadata) regarding various pages or sites, including annotations by a querying user and by members of a trust network defined for the querying user into search and browsing of a corpus such as the World Wide Web. A trust network is defined for each user, and annotations by any member of a first user's trust network are made visible to the first user during search and/or browsing of the corpus. The present publication discloses a method and system for sending messages in a telecommunications network. In the method, a first text-form message is sent to a user of the service, a reply to the first text-form message is received from the user of the service to an address defined in the previous message, if the reply is of the correct form and content, the desired service is sent to the user of the service. According to the invention, the user of the message service is offered a second service by a message, the information (such as the sending number is text-message traffic) defining the reply address of which differs from that of the first message, and the second offer message is sent with a sending delay, which depends of the content or type of the first service.
