A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and chat management server apparatus that receives a search request via a search panel provided in response to a user interaction with a chat panel. A token including a special character is generated based on search text in the search request or a unique identifier for one of a plurality of items identified based on a search performed using the search text. The token is provided to a source of the search request for inclusion in the chat panel as a hyperlink. A preview panel request including the token is received in response to a user interaction with the hyperlink. Content for the items or for the one item is retrieved based on the special character included in the token. The content is provided to a source of the preview panel request.

Systems and methods for managing electronic requests for photographs and multimedia content, and enabling electronic social sharing thereof

Systems and methods are disclosed for managing electronic requests for photographs and other multimedia content by receiving, from a first user's mobile application, a request to receive multimedia content from a second user's mobile application, adding the request to receive multimedia content from the mobile application of the second user device to a queue of pending requests associated with the second user, the queue of pending requests including any requests for multimedia content received by the mobile application of the second user device from one or more other users, and prompting a second user device to include generated or retrieved multimedia content either in response to the request or one of more of the pending requests in the queue. The first or second user mobile application may enable managing electronic requests using a user interface displaying a list of requested, sent, and/or received multimedia content.

Sending safety-check prompts based on user interaction

In one embodiment, a method includes identifying an emergency event; determining that a threshold percentage of users who are associated with the emergency event have posted content related to the emergency event to an online social network; sending, in response to the determination, a safety-check prompt to each of a first set of users; determining a current-prompting probability based on one or more engagement metrics of the safety-check prompt by the first set of users; and sending, in response to determining that the current-prompting probability is above a first threshold probability, the safety-check prompt to each of a second set of users, wherein the second set of users comprises more users than the first set of users.

TECHNIQUE FOR EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATION AND COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION

In a communication arrangement in accordance with the invention, a server is employed to collect and organize information for mobile device users according to the user profiles, e.g., personal profile, business profile, vacation profile, etc., which reflect different user personae. By using this arrangement, the user advantageously maintains only the necessary information in the mobile device and downloads any additional information from the server on an as needed basis. In addition, the server is capable of serving mobile devices which may be incompatible to one another, thereby facilitating an exchange of information between such devices. Moreover, with the server, incoming messages for the user are organized and stored according to the source of the messages and the user criteria established in the user profiles. Further, information in a mobile device may be organized using electronic information cards, referred to as “E-cards,” which facilitate, among others, transfer of information from the mobile device to the server, or other mobile devices to conduct various commercial and data transactions.

AUDIO/VIDEO PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE

The invention provides audio/video processing methods and devices. In one aspect, an embodiment of the invention can output the page where the audio/video to be shared is located through: obtaining shared information provided by an inviting party, the shared information containing information of audio/video to be shared and instant communication identification information of the inviting party; establishing, based on a confirm operation from the invited party in view of the shared information, instant communication connection with the inviting party using the instant communication identification information, for instant communication with the inviting party; and obtaining, based on the information of audio/video to be shared, the page where the audio/video to be shared is located, the page including instant communication page elements for input and/or output of communication information of instant communication with the inviting party. Because the audio/video to be shared and the instant communication page elements are disposed on the same page, the invited party can share exchanges regarding the viewed audio/video to be shared without having to switch again and again to a communication application, which features simple operation and thereby improves audio/video processing efficiency.

LIMITING ALERTS ON A COMPUTING DEVICE

A computing device is described that receives, at a first particular time, first notification data. Responsive to receiving the first notification data, the computing device outputs, at a first intensity level, a first alert associated with the first notification data. The computing device receives, at a second particular time after the first particular time, second notification data. Responsive to the computing device receiving an indication of user interaction with the computing device between the first particular time and the second particular time, the computing device outputs, at the first intensity level, a second alert associated with the second notification data. Conversely, responsive to the computing device not receiving the indication of user interaction with the computing device, the computing device either outputs, at a second intensity level that is less than the first intensity level, the second alert, or refrains from outputting the second alert entirely.

MESSAGING APPLICATION INTERACTING WITH ONE OR MORE EXTENSION APPLICATIONS

A messaging system in one embodiment includes a messaging app and one or more extension apps configured to create content that is displayed in a view hosted by the messaging app. The messaging app can launch the one or more extension apps, and content can be communicated between each extension app and the messaging app through are interprocess communication.

COMPUTER MESSAGING BOT CREATION

Creation data can be received from a computer-readable developer profile, with the creation data including instructions to create a messaging bot. A messaging bot definition can be generated using the instructions, and a messaging bot may be executed using the definition. The instructions may include natural language instructions defining one or more messaging bot characteristics. The natural language instructions can be matched with one or more commands to include one or more characteristics in the messaging bot, and instructions for those characteristic(s) can be included in the messaging bot definition. The instructions can be instructions that are not in a computer programming language, and they can be instructions to create one or more general messaging bot characteristics configured to be implemented with a specific dialog structure that defines one or more specific natural language dialog scripts.

Code creation and revision requires optimal error detection and correction and collaboration among programmers. One example method of operation may include receiving and processing a comment associated with a first user profile, identifying a context of the comment, identifying at least one previously submitted comment with a context that matches the context of the comment, retrieving the at least one previously submitted comment, identifying a second user profile associated with the previously submitted comment, and invoking a communication session and including the first user profile and the second use profile in the communication session.
