SECONDARY BATTERY
A secondary battery includes: a cylindrical can including a first region, a second region, and a first bent portion extending between the first region and the second region on a circumferential surface of the can; an electrode assembly accommodated in the can; and a cap assembly at a top end of the can and sealing the can. The first bent portion is bent such that an angle between the first region and the second region is in a range of about 90° to about 100°; the first region of the can partially covers a top surface of the cap assembly facing an exterior side of the can, and the second region of the can surrounds side surfaces of the cap assembly.

A self-attaching supplemental battery for a cellular phone comprises a housing containing a rechargeable battery. A releasable attachment pad is affixed to an attachment side of the housing to releasably couple the housing and the rechargeable battery to a back of the cellular phone. A cover is removably carried by the housing, and selectively locatable on either side. The cover comprises a panel sized and shaped to cover the releasable attachment pad in a protection location when located on the attachment side of the housing, and to expose the releasable attachment pad in a storage location when located on the face side of the housing.

A thin film device may include an active device region, where the active device region comprises a selective expansion region. The thin film device may further include a polymer layer disposed adjacent to the active device region and encapsulating the active device region, the polymer layer comprising a plurality of polymer sub-layers. A first polymer sub-layer of the plurality of polymer sub-layers may have a first hardness, while a second polymer sub-layer of the plurality of polymer sub-layers has a second hardness, the second hardness being different from the first hardness.
BATTERY MODULE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BATTERY MODULE, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A battery module with high impact resistance is provided. A battery module using an elastic body such as rubber for its exterior body covering a battery is provided. A bendable battery module is provided. As the exterior body covering a battery, an elastic body such as rubber is used, and the exterior body is molded in two steps. First, a first portion provided with a depression in which a battery is stored is molded using a first mold. Next, a battery is inserted into the first portion. Subsequently, second molding is performed using a second mold so as to fill an opening of the depression in the first portion, so that a second portion is formed. The second portion serves as a cover for closing the opening of the depression in the first portion. The second portion is formed in contact with part of the electrodes in the battery and part of an end portion of the second exterior body in the battery.
Magnesium battery comprising positive-electrode mixture with graphite fluoride and copper
A Mg battery has a positive-electrode can, a positive-electrode pellet made of a positive-electrode active material or the like, a positive electrode composed of a metallic net supporting body, a negative-electrode cup, a negative electrode made of a negative-electrode active material, and a separator impregnated with an electrolytic solution and disposed between the positive-electrode pellet and the negative-electrode active material. By adopting a structure that copper contacts the positive-electrode active material, the electrochemical device can be given a large discharge capacity.

A battery pack including a battery cell having an anode and cathode terminal at one face having a sealed surplus portion and a protection circuit module (PCM) connected to the cell via the anode and cathode terminal, the PCM including a board having a protection circuit thereon, the board being provided with an anode and cathode terminal connection part connected to the anode and cathode terminal, respectively, and a PCM case configured to receive the board through an open face thereof so that the PCM case surrounds the board. The board is coupled to the anode and cathode terminal of the cell via the anode and cathode terminal connection part, the board is disposed in the PCM case in a state in which the board is parallel to the cell, and the PCM case, in which the board is disposed, is mounted to the sealed surplus portion of the cell.

An encasing film for a galvanic element has at least one force sensor for detecting an expansion state of the encasing film. The encasing film is produced from an elastic and electrically insulating material, e.g., plastic. The force sensor, which has a strain gauge, is situated on a surface of the encasing film.

Polymer-fused batteries are provided. The battery includes a casing, an anode coupled to the casing, an electrical source disposed between the casing and the anode, and a fuse. The polymer fuse comprises an electrically-conductive material formulated to decompose upon contact with a bodily fluid.
Electronic cigarette, and battery rod and atomizer
An electronic cigarette, and a battery rod and an atomizer thereof are provided in the present application. The battery rod includes a battery rod body, and an air passage of the battery rod body is provided with a waterproof breathable component which cooperates with the air passage and is configured to prevent water from entering into the battery rod body via the air passage, and the atomizer includes an atomizer body, a smoke passage of the atomizer body is provided with a waterproof breathable component which cooperates with the smoke passage and is configured to prevent water from entering into the atomizer body via the smoke passage. Besides of ensuring the breathability of both the air passage and the smoke passage, the waterproof breathable component may also prevent external liquid from entering into the battery rod and the atomizer, thus the waterproof performance of the electronic cigarette is improved.
