Method and system for reducing message passing for contention detection in distributed SIP server environments
A method, a system, and a computer program product are provided for reducing message passing for contention detection in distributed SIP server environments. The method is implemented in a computer infrastructure having computer executable code tangibly embodied on a computer readable storage medium having programming instructions operable to determine that a first site is waiting for a first object locked by a second site. The programming instructions are further operable to determine that a third site is waiting for a second object locked by the first site, and to send a first probe to the second site to determine whether the second site is waiting. A second probe is received and indicates that a site is waiting for an object locked by the first site. The second probe further indicates a deadlock in a distributed server environment to be resolved.
Transport accelerator implementing extended transmission control functionality
Transport accelerator (TA) systems and methods for accelerating delivery of content to a user agent (UA) of a client device are provided according to embodiments of the present disclosure. Embodiments comprise a TA architecture implementing a connection manager (CM) and a request manager (RM). A CM of embodiments requests chunks of content from a content server, receives data in response to requesting the chunks of content, wherein the received data is missing data from a requested chunk of content, and provides a receipt acknowledgement (ACK) for the missing data. The received data, which is missing data from a requested chunk of the chunks of content, may be passed through a communication protocol stack to an application for assembly into a one or more content objects.
Communication apparatus, control method, and storage medium
A communication apparatus determines whether to stop data reception during interpretation of the data according to a situation.
ARBITRATION PROCESSING METHOD AFTER CLUSTER BRAIN SPLIT, QUORUM STORAGE APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure discloses an arbitration processing solution when brain split occurs in cluster. The solution includes: receiving, by a quorum storage apparatus within a first refresh packet detection period, first master quorum node preemption requests sent by at least two quorum nodes in the cluster; sending, by the quorum storage apparatus, a first master quorum node preemption success response message to the initial master quorum node indicating that the initial master quorum node succeeds in master quorum node preemption when the first master quorum node preemption requests received within the first refresh packet detection period comprise the master quorum node preemption request sent by the initial master quorum node.
Module, system and method of switching modules
A module has switchable operation states. A first switching unit switches the module between a first operation state and a second operation state. A first interface switches between sending signals to another module which has switchable operation states and receiving signals from the other module. The first interface sends a first signal to the other module when the module is in the first operation state, sends a second signal to the other module when the module is to be switched into the second operation state, and receives signals from the other module when the module is in the second operation state. A second interface communicates with the other module. When the second interface receives a response of the other module to the second signal, the first switching unit switches the module into the second operation state. The reliability of module switching is improved in an embodiment.
Method, apparatus, and system for providing and using multi-protocol eventing
Methods and systems for providing an elegant and efficient multi-protocol eventing layer are disclosed. The multi-protocol eventing layer includes a converged container capable of handling multiple types of protocols to manage events while using an open source database. Accordingly, the multi-protocol eventing layer efficiently provides real-time or near real-time eventing to a plurality of devices for scalability and performance enhancement.
Communication system, communication apparatus, and protection method
A communication system includes two or more ring networks in which nodes are connected in a ring shape, carries out ERP for each of the ring networks, sets one of the ring networks as a major ring that detects a failure in a shared link, and sets the other ring networks as sub rings. A shared node, which terminates the shared link, includes: a failure monitoring unit that respectively detects, concerning two or more of the ring networks that share the shared link, failures in the ring networks; a switching processing unit that determines, on the basis of a detection result of the failures, the ring network set as the major ring; and ERP processing units that store, when the switching is performed by the switching processing unit, identification information after the switching in an R-APS frame and transfer or transmit the frame.
System and Method for a Dynamic Mobile Web Server Fallback
A relay server is coupled to a URL database within an open firewall. First and second Internet devices are configured for communication with the relay server and include respective first and second websites behind closed firewalls, wherein the second website is operative as a “fallback” website to the first website. A web browser on a client Internet device is connected to the relay server. The relay server is provided with software to facilitate communication between the web browser and the first Internet device website so that if the first Internet device website goes offline, the relay server will connect the web browser to the fallback website on the second Internet device.
Method for managing services on a network
The invention relates to a method for managing services on a network, comprising: at least two interconnected computer sites, each of which is capable of implementing at least one service that can be accessed from the network; at least one service implemented on a network site; a capability for transferring a service from an initial site to a separate destination site. Each is associated with security attributes and the method includes transferring at least one service from an initial site to a destination site of the network following a predetermined transfer sequence which depends on the security attributes.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR NETWORK ASSISTED DOMAIN SELECTION
Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) for initiating a service in a cellular network are disclosed herein. The UE can include processing circuitry to initiate the service for a service type using a current domain. Additionally, the UE can detect a service initiation failure for the service. Moreover, the UE can generate domain selection assistance information (DSAI) based on the detected service initiation failure. The DSAI can include the service type and the current domain. Furthermore, the UE can include transceiver circuitry to send the DSAI to a network entity. The network entity can be a diagnostic and assistance server. The sending of the DSAI can be configured to assist the network entity in selecting a preferred domain for the service type for the case when the UE initiates a new service.
